Chapter 111 111: Three Trials Of The Paragons

As soon as Corey entered the torn space, the space mended itself in the blink of an eye.

Meanwhile Corey:

"Where am I?"

Corey questioned in a voice that was not too quiet and not too loud.

He looked around but all he could see was darkness.

He looked at his hand, then stretched out his hand.

'I can see myself but I can't see any other thing?'

Corey thought as he looked at his body which was the only thing he could see in this space that was filled with darkness.

Seconds passed and just as he was wondering what was going to happen to him, a female voice resounded in the dark space.

[WELCOME YOUNG CHALLENGER TO THE PARAGON TRIAL SPACE]

[WHAT LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY DO YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN YOUNG CHALLENGER?]

[EARTH, SKY, HEAVEN, HELL OR PARAGON]

[NOTE, THE HIGHER THE LEVEL OF THE DIFFICULTY, THE HIGHER THE REWARDS AND THE LOWER THE NUMBER OF TRIALS.]

Hearing the words spoken by the unknown female voice, Corey had his brows furrowed slightly as he ruminated over the words spoken by the female voice.

"Earth, Sky, Heaven, Hell… Then Paragon."

Corey mumbled then looked up with a pondering expression on his face.

"Are the difficulty levels trying to say that… The Earth, The Sky, Heaven and even Hell are all beneath The Paragons?

That the Paragons are above all?"

Corey mumbled with a thoughtful expression on his face, and the more he thought of this, the more he felt that he was right.

He looked around for a few seconds, trying to discern the location of the voice but all he saw was darkness.

Not finding the source of the voice, he gave his answer to the voice with a calm and determined tone.

"I choose the Paragon level."

[ARE YOU SURE?]

The female voice asked and Corey nodded.

"Yes."

[SO BE IT]

The female voice said, and the moment she spoke, Corey's surroundings changed drastically.

"What the?"

Corey looked around with a shocked expression.

His surroundings which was previously just darkness, now looked like a battle ruined city.

Destroyed buildings, buildings that were on fire, destroyed vehicles, destroyed roads, corpses and various sorts of weapons littered his entire surroundings.

Just as Corey was looking around, the female voice resounded once again.

[THERE ARE THREE TRIALS FOR THE PARAGON DIFFICULTY]

[YOU'LL HAVE TO FACE AN AVATAR OF A THIRD GENERATION TRUE PARAGON, A SECOND GENERATION TRUE PARAGON AND THE DEFYING PARAGON, THE ANCESTOR OF ALL PARAGONS RESPECTIVELY]

[THEIR POWER LEVEL HAS BEEN REDUCED TO TIER 0 SO AS TO MATCH UP WITH YOUR POWER LEVEL]

[TO GAIN A REWARD, YOU MUST DEFEAT AT LEAST THE THIRD GENERATION TRUE PARAGON]

[THE HIGHER YOU GO, THE BETTER THE REWARDS]

[YOU CAN ALSO CHANGE THE ENVIRONMENT TO YOUR LIKING]

[ALSO, DUE TO THE FACT THAT YOU'RE JUST A NORMAL HUMAN, YOU CAN DECIDE TO START THE BATTLE WHENEVER YOU WANT]

[YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR LIFE IN THIS TRIAL. YOU WON'T TRULY DIE IN THE TRIAL]

[BUT IF YOU LOSE, YOUR MEMORIES ABOUT THIS TRIAL AND EVERYTHING YOU KNOW AND HAVE ABOUT THE PARAGONS WOULD BE WIPED OUT AND TAKEN]

"A true Paragon?"

"I'll probably face the Ancestor of Paragons?"

"My memories about the Paragons would be wiped out?"

Corey mumbled hearing the words spoken by the unknown female and a second later, he released a soft sigh.

"So much information."

He spoke in a low tone then looked around and as he did, he frowned slightly.

Fifty meters around him was a translucent barrier and around thirty meters in front of him was somebody who was not there previously.

Corey looked at the person or to be more exact, the avatar of a third generation True Paragon which could only be described as perfection in his eyes.

The Paragon before him was sitting in a cross-legged position with his eyes closed and two sabers laying flat on his laps.

As Corey looked at him, he could not help but marvel at the face of the Paragon before him despite him been extremely straight.

He had a beauty which Corey had never seen before. He had a face which had a demonic? Angelic? Or should he say Paragon level of beauty and handsomeness.

His long hair reached his shoulders, not only that, the hair was mainly black but towards the end of the hair, the black hair became white.

The avatar of the third generation Paragon was wearing black baggy trousers with a long and baggy white t-shirt.

Corey stared at the cross-legged seating Paragon for at least ten seconds before he moved his eyes away from the Paragon.

As he looked around the Paragon, he noticed that the Paragon also had a fifty meter barrier surrounding him.

Corey looked at the barrier, then his barrier. He then looked at the cross-legged seating Paragon and seeing the Paragon with it's eyes closed, Corey looked at his surroundings then he also sat in a cross-legged position and looked at the Paragon.

'Record'

Using his talent skill, Corey's left eye changed and rapidly changing numbers, symbols and letters appeared in his eye.

When he decided to enter the trial, never did he think he would have the opportunity to use Record.

In fact, he was even ready to die in this trial but it seemed that the Paragons either had so much arrogance or they had that much confidence in themselves that they gave so much leeway towards the trial challengers.

Corey did not know, but since he had the opportunity to use Record, there was no way he was going to let such an opportunity go to waste.

----

(Two Hours Later, In The Library Of Records)

"What does this mean?"

Corey stood with a confused expression as he held the Book of Recorded Beings in his hands.

The frown on Corey's face deepened as he re-read the analysis of the avatar of the third generation Paragon.

"This is the first time this has happened."

Corey mumbled as he rubbed the middle of his brows. He then looked at the book in his hands once again.

"Due to the complexity of the being and the being been an avatar, only a 30% analysis could be achieved."

Corey mumbled and with a sigh, he closed the book then placed it back on a shelf.

"I guess it's time to fight one of the two top races of the Multiverse."

Corey spoke with a small smile on his face as he walked into the simulation room of The Library Of Records.
