Chapter 200 199: Return Of The Clown

Bafflement

Shock

Confusion

Indifference

And… Anger

These were the various emotions the people in the audience had as they saw the image on the holographic screen.

And Corey was one of those that was filled with confusion as he gazed at the holographic screen. Just as Corey was about to delve into his train of thoughts, a slight frown crept unto his face as he felt an extremely suppressed killing intent around him.

Corey's gaze wandered as he tried to locate the source of the suppressed killing intent. Normally, locating the source of the killing intent is a feat, most low level beings should not be able to perform, but after Corey challenged the Paragon Ancestor's killing intent and successfully became a Paragon, his sensitivity towards killing intent had increased to an unimaginable level.

So for him, locating the source of the killing intent was not a difficult feat for him, especially considering the fact that the source of the killing intent was right beside him.

'Divine?'

A frown crept unto Corey's face as he observed Divine's strange state. He could see and literally hear Divine's teeth grinding against each other. He could also see the veins on Divine's head which threatened to pop out from just a tap.

Apart from these two changes which showed the sheer amount of anger, Divine was currently suppressing, there were also changes in one of his eye and hair.

His right eye, which previously had a red pupil and a white sclera, gradually changed. The sclera gradually changed from white to black, as for Divine's red and partially blue hair, it gradually changed from red and blue to a totally white color.

As Corey observed these changes, he felt the surrounding temperature change. At some point, the surroundings would become a little bit hot, but a few seconds later, the temperature would then reduce, becoming a little bit chilly.

Corey's frown deepened as his instincts warned him of the current Divine, and Corey had a bad premonition that if he did not stop Divine from possibly causing a rampage or scene, he would definitely be negatively affected by whatever happens as a result.

Besides, he does not want to be in the middle of a fight that involved mystic energy. He had his own apprehensions regarding mystic energy, and he definitely does not want to be at the receiving end of an attack involving mystic energy.

And due to his apprehension towards the near future, Corey decided to take action and awaken Divine from his rage.

And what did he do?

Well

Simple,

PA!

Divine's left cheek burned as a face squeezing, whistle blowing and home resounding slap landed on his left cheek, and Corey, the perpetrator of the attack had a satisfied expression despite the redness of his palm.

'I told myself I was going to punch you no matter what. But I guess a slap would have to suffice.'

A few glances were thrown at the duo, especially Divine, who currently had a frozen expression as all the rage and anger he had in him, flew out of the window.

He placed his left hand on his left cheek and he winced slightly as he felt a minute stinging pain on his left cheek. His gaze moved towards Corey, who had an expressionless face.

"You slapped me."

Divine said and Corey shrugged nonchalantly.

"You were about to do something stupid."

Corey replied and Divine's lips twitched as he rubbed his left cheek with an aggrieved expression.

"Couldn't you have slapped me a little bit softer? Or better still, don't slap me at all?"

Divine spoke and Corey once again, shrugged nonchalantly before speaking:

"Are you not at a higher tier than me? Why can't you take a little bit of pain from a tier 1? Are you that weak?"I think you should take a look at

Corey asked and just as Divine was about to reply, Corey placed a finger on his own lips and hpointed at the holographic screen which was currently depicting a scene that would give kids nightmares.

Divine's gaze followed Corey's gesture, and despite already knowing what and who was on the screen, Divine still couldn't help himself from clenching his fist tightly.

'Why is this bastard here? How the fuck is he here?'

Divine had a deep frown as the image of a man with a clown mask appeared in his eyes.

Corey glanced at Divine with his hand getting ready to deliver another resounding slap to Divine if he still could not control his anger, but to Corey's disappointment, Divine controlled his anger.

'Well that's disappointing.'

Corey released a soft sigh before he then looked at the holographic screen, and just like Divine, the image of man with a clown mask making cuts on a man in a white suit, appeared in his vision.

'Why is Divine so agitated by this person?'

Corey wondered with a bit of intrigue lighting up his eyes, and just as he had this thought, the man with a clown mask, turned towards the camera and spoke:

[Uhhh… WHERE WERE WE?...]

[OH YEAH. I WAS TELLING YOU GUYS ABOUT HOW ME, THE CLOWN, IS NOW THE NEW LEADER OF THE UNDERWORLD.]

'The Clown? Wasn't that the same person Ashley told me about?' (Corey)

[AND YOUR PREVIOUS BORING LEADER…]

The Clown took a brief pause as he gestured towards a chained man in an extremely bloodied white suit. The man had chains on his two arms and neck, and extremely gruesome injuries could be seen on his body.

The man currently had his head down and numerous drops of blood dropped unto the floor from the countless injuries on his body. A few even dropped from the man's feet which were dangled a few centimeters off the floor.

On certain parts of the man's body, there were knives, daggers and needles which were pierced into his body, further attributing to the man's terrible state.

Around the man in white suit were other bodies and when Corey observed one of the bodies, he noticed that the body resembled the body of the announcer of Triple X's match.

'So that's what happened to him.'

Corey frowned slightly as he gazed at the dead bodies before shifting his gaze back to the man in white suit.

"That was The Underworld's leader?"

Corey had raised brows as he subconsciously spoke out loud.

"Yes, that was The Underworld's leader. He's called The Director… And there were rumors of him being a tier 6."

Divine's voice flowed into Corey's ears and Corey had a deep frown on his face.

"So that means The Clown is at least a tier 6?"

Corey asked, but he received no answer from Divine for a few seconds, and just as Corey was about to turn towards Divine, Divine spoke:

"I don't know if he's a tier 6… But I hope not, or else…"

Despite Divine's last sentence being a soft whisper, Corey still heard it and although he had questions, he decided not to ask.

His attention went back to the holographic screen, wanting to see the next actions and words of The Clown, and to his mild surprise, The Clown removed one of the knives in the body of The Director and without hesitation, he cut off the head of the previous leader of the Underworld.

A soft chuckle escaped the lips of The Clown, then he placed the bloodied knife in front of the mouth part of the mask, and in the next instant, an opening appeared in the mask and the tongue of The Clown appeared and with visible excitement, licked the blood from the dagger.

A satisfied sigh escaped the lips of The Clown, then he turned towards the camera and with his arms outstretched to the sides, he spoke with an excited tone that contained a tinge of madness:

[ANTICIPATE THE UPCOMING GAMES PEOPLE. IT'S GOING TO BE LOTS OF FUN.]
