Chapter 268 267: First Tribulation Of Hell; World Of Glass

"Black Star?"

Seeing the new name given to his attributes, Corey could not help but be dazed at first, baffled next, then finally, be excited.

"Now it actually feels like I've maximized my stats."

"But the difference..."

Corey mumbled as he looked at his status screen.

He stood, then he performed a series of kicks and punches. Folloow current novÊls on nov/3lb((in).(co/m)

Initially, he took it slow since he was not used to his new strength. But as he kept on performing the kicks and punches described in the Paragon Martial Arts, he got more familiar with his new strength.

Whoosh!

Corey eventually stopped after kicking upwards with a tremendous force.

He slowly placed his leg back to the ground with an excited expression.

"Incredible."

Corey smiled, then he clenched his fist.

"I have a feeling I can defeat a low leveled tier 3 with ease."

"Maybe, I can even give a mid leveled tier 3 a run for their money."

Corey chuckled.

He was getting stronger.

Much stronger.

And, he absolutely loved it.

A few seconds passed, and the smile on Corey's face slowly vanished. He looked up, and an extremely solemn expression appeared on his face.

"I just hope my guess is wrong."

Corey spoke softly, then he sighed.

The solemnness in his eyes was replaced by determination.

An unyielding determination to survive.

"How do I activate the tribulation of hell?"

[You don't activate the tribulations of hell. You summon-]

[You know what, just say the word- Hell]

Corey raised his brows in surprise as he heard Nina's words.

"Haven't I been saying it a lot?"

In front of him was a world of glass and mirrors.

A straight, narrow and seemingly endless road stretched out before him. Common sense should have said that the glass would reflect light, but that was not the case.

The glass road was dark, so dark to the point that if not because of the light in the glass world, Corey would have never noticed that the surface he stood upon was made out of glass.

Speaking of light, Corey looked up, but saw nothing but a mirror filled sky.

No source of light could be seen.

He looked away from the sky which gave him a bad feeling, and he looked at his sides.

By the sides of the narrow and seemingly endless glass road were majestic large-sized mirrors. The mirrors possessed no frame, making it look simplistic, and oddly unnerving.

'This is the world I saw in the vision.'

'I killed myself in this world.'

'I failed to pass the tribulation.'

As Corey observed the world which had been his nightmare for days, a stream of information entered his mind from out of nowhere.

Corey's eyes went blank for a second, then his expression went back to normal.

"Reach the end of the glass path without destroying a single mirror."

Corey repeated the information he received with a frown.

He pondered on the information given to him for some seconds, then he released a soft sigh.

"I wouldn't die no matter what."

"I'll change my fate."

A determined glint appeared in his eyes, and he took a step forward.

Corey did not know what he was going to face as he tried to reach the end of the glass road.

He didn't know how difficult it was meant to be. But, one thing he knew was that mortals were not meant to face the tribulations of hell.

Especially, a mortal like him who was tier 1 and possessed zero knowledge regarding Hell and their tribulations.

Although, he didn't know what he was going to face, he decided to make one decision.

To not look at the mirrors by the side of the road no matter what.

He even had the idea of closing eyes, but he felt like he would deeply regret it if he did.

Just as Corey was about to take another step on the glass road, he felt the mirror to his right change.

It was an extremely subtle change, but due to his high perception, he noticed it.

He wanted to ignore it, but to his horror a force which he could not resist turned his head towards the mirror.

He looked at the mirror, and he saw his reflection on the mirror.

The reflection smiled, and Corey's eyes went blank.
