Asher had sensed someone spying on them for some time, but he had initially chosen to ignore it. However, as the incidents grew more frequent, his patience wore thin. By now, he was fed up with the whole thing but when he tried to act he still lost his prey.
"You better pray I don't find you," Asher muttered, his eyes narrowing as he faced the direction where he sensed the mana had been transmitted from the teacher's quarters.

In Asher and Rey's room:
"And you're sure you saw what you saw?" Rey asked, tossing a ball into the air while lying on his bed.
"I know what I saw," Asher replied firmly, pacing through the room. "It definitely came from the teacher's quarters. The whole thing was suspicious."
Asher's pacing wasn't just idle movement; he was searching for something, his eyes scanning every corner, every piece of furniture, as if the act of looking might help him make sense of the situation.
"So, let's say there actually is a spy in the school, and let's say this spy is really dangerous. What makes you think they're here for us?" Rey inquired, catching the ball mid-air.
"Instincts," Asher said, continuing his search, his voice edged with determination.
"That's all you got? I guess you really are an assassin. The best course of action would be to inform the authorities, right?" Rey suggested.
"Yeah, that would be a good idea," Asher admitted, finally pausing his search. "But it's still risky since we could potentially tell the wrong person."
Asher paused, taking a moment to think, his mind racing through the possibilities. His gaze grew distant as he weighed the situation, his instincts as an assassin sharpening with each passing second.
"Hmm, that actually makes sense. Why would someone like that be in a secure place like this?" Rey mused aloud, still lounging on his bed.
"I can only think of two reasons." Asher finally spoke, his voice steady. "They either found a way to infiltrate the school or..."
"Someone let them in," Rey finished, his tone darkening as the realization sank in.
"What do we do? We have to inform the others first... What are you searching for in my closet?" Rey asked, noticing Asher rummaging through his belongings.
Asher had already turned his attention to Rey's stuff, his hands moving swiftly through the clothes and items as if on a mission.
"Something important," Asher replied, not even sparing a glance at Rey, his focus unwavering.
"And why would it be in my closet?" Rey questioned, irritation creeping into his voice.
"Because you can't keep your fingers to yourself, and I'm pretty sure you took it without even thinking what it was," Asher shot back.

Rey sighed, leaning back into his pillows. "It's a compass, what else could it be?"
"It's an item I brought with me from home..." Asher explained as he finally pulled out the compass from Rey's closet, holding it up for a moment before turning to face Rey.
He found himself surrounded, the two figures closing in on both sides, their intentions clear.
"Any chance you guys mistook me for someone else?" Jett asked, his voice sounding different, a calculated tone that was almost playful, yet edged with caution. The figures remained silent, their expressions hidden beneath their hoods.
"No? Well, that's a bummer," Jett quipped, realizing the seriousness of the situation.
Without warning, both figures rushed him, their movements synchronized as they attempted to overpower him. They attacked with a ferocity that left little room for error, forcing Jett to react with lightning speed.
Jett dodged the first attacker's sword with a swift sidestep, grabbing the assailant by the arm and instinctively hurling him toward the second figure just as he teleported behind him. The two collided briefly but quickly regained their footing, continuing their relentless assault with renewed vigor, going all out as they pressed their attack.
'Although it looks like they're trying to kill me, I don't really sense any bloodlust from them,' Jett mused, analyzing the situation even as he fought. 'I better end this quickly.'
As the swordsman lunged at him again, Jett executed a low sweep, knocking the attacker off balance. He followed up with a powerful kick, sending the swordsman flying through the air. The other figure, armed with a dagger, tried to recover from the fall, but Jett teleported right behind them in an instant.
"You're not the only one who can teleport. You know, I have a friend with that exact skill too," Jett said calmly as he appeared behind them.
Before either of his opponents could react, Jett delivered precise, forceful blows, knocking them both unconscious in a matter of seconds. They lay motionless on the ground, their breathing shallow but steady.
Curious about his attackers, Jett crouched down and carefully removed the mask from the one who had wielded the poison. As the mask came off, a small cloud of poisonous gas sprayed out, catching Jett by surprise and causing him to cough slightly.
"What are you, freaking Batman?" Jett muttered, waving away the remaining gas. "Good thing I have resistance to poison, or this could've been really bad."
He brushed off the lingering effects of the poison and looked at the unmasked face, his eyes widening in shock. It was Asher.
"Oh god, don't tell me..." he groaned, quickly moving to check the other person. Just as he feared, it was Rey. "These fucking psychos, good thing I didn't try anything leathal."
"Well, this kinda makes my night more annoying," Jett sighed, shaking his head in disbelief.
Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching and a voice calling out, "Who's there?" One of the security guards was getting closer to the scene.
'Crap...' Jett thought, his mind racing for a way out.
The guards arrived at the spot, their eyes scanning the area. "There's no one here? I thought I saw something," one of them said, his voice uncertain.
"It was probably just a cat," the other guard suggested.
"But there are no cats in the academy, not even a stray unless it's someone's pet," the first guard replied, still looking around.
"Probably your imagination. Let's go," the second guard said, giving his companion a reassuring pat on the shoulder. They walked away, leaving the first guard a bit unsure of himself but following along.
