Chapter 57 Goblins & Goblins.

Hitori pulled his katana from the goblin king's calf, then dived forward, his head rolled on the dirty floor.

The king started to turn about. It lifted its flail to crush Hitori.

Hitori charged at the monster with his katana by his side, Hitori leaned down, then rolled again.

He got up against the monster's leg at the right time, Hitori sliced through the goblin king's leg as if he sliced a piece of butter.

Hitori did not stop there, he used the momentum to throw himself forward and roll further on the floor.

The king's reflexes lacked the agility to keep up with Hitori's katana slice before it realized, it dropped to the ground on its knees.

The goblin's leg from the knee was no more. It fell on the floor, and blood spattered on the floor.

The goblins around Hitori paused, they all were surprised, shocked, and scared but still, still, they decided to attack Hitori all at once.

Hitori's katana raised above his head, it dripped with greenish blood.

Hitori quickly pulled his katana back at waist level.

The goblin's irritating noise and chaos spread around as they made a move behind Hitori.

Hitori grips his katana lightly, his grip tightens as he swings his katana with the goblin king's head as his target.

The king roared, it grabbed one of its goblins and used the goblin as a crutch to stand on the wooden floor.

Hitori's katana's sharp end went halfway in the king's stomach but did not go through.

The king's eyes burned with anger, its veins popped out vigorously as it tightened its grip over a goblin's head.

The king applied more pressure and the goblin's head was crushed like a balloon. Green blood spilled all over, it covered the king's arm too.

Hitori quickly pulls his katana and retreats. But this time, he lacked speed.

The king lifted its flail, he swung the flail at Hitori with no hesitation.

Hitori was thrown at the wall once again, he saw a huge decline in his health bar. The metallic bob with spikes has inflicted more damage than Hitori had expected.

[healing potion]

Hitori reached for a healing potion, he gulped down the potion as quickly as possible cause the goblin king would not wait for Hitori to finish his drink.

Hitori used his katana to get up from the ground, he grubbed the side of his mouth calmly and stared at the king. The king was making his way toward Hitori with anger in his eyes.

"Icicle spears!" Hitori threw a pair of spears of frozen ice at the king.

The king swiped its arm and the ice spears shattered like a thing, a fragile piece of mirror.

Hitori kicks a goblin that came to him. He grabs his katana and rushed toward the king.

The king did not hesitate to lift another one of his goblins to protect itself from Hitori's slash.

Hitori swings his katana but instead of the king, his katana sliced the head of an innocent- not really, goblin.

Hitori dropped down on the floor, got up, and ran into the room, "it does not care about its undead underlings." Hitori muttered to himself while preparing for his last attack.

He's shoes scrapped on the floor as he brought himself to a stop, he then jerked off the floor, "leaf cutter," Hitori's speed increased tremendously.

Bits of flames started to sprout on the grip of his katana, slowly, the flame engulfed his katana in the fire.

The king on the other hand turned around and ran at Hitori. They both were on the path to clash with each other.

The king's flail went across his head, it was the one to make the first move.

Hitori looked straight at the bob of metal swung at him. He calmly raised his katana, then increased the pace.

When the flail reached him, he took a jump in the air, fire danced around Hitori along with his katana.

The bob went past him. He spun around in the midair, the flail chain went past him.

Hitori turned his body, lifted his katana, and sliced through the chain that held the striking head to the handle of the flail.

The bob created a few holes in the floor as it fell and bounced for a few seconds till it broke through the wall and left the room.

Hitori's toe touched the floor, Hitori tip-toed on the floor, like a ballet dancer Hitori spun his body.

The king's eyes went wide when it felt its flail's weight decrease massively.

Hitori used the king's astonishment to his advantage.

The fire covering Hitori's katana swirled in the air, Hitori clenched his grip around his katana.

Hitori sliced the king's head with a powerful horizontal swing of his katana.

The goblin's head and Hitori, both landed on the floor at the same time. The only difference was, Hitori watched as the king's head rolled like a football.

The king's headless body stood like a statue before it started to fall down.

Hitori glanced behind, the body had started to fall backward at Hitori.

He moved away from the body's radius and froze a few more goblins on the way.

[you have killed the Goblin King Kherek-nor level ninteen]

When Hitori ran in search of the exit portal when he dashed through the crowd of goblins, Hitori spotted a pool of green fluid on the ground.

"Guess it is not over yet," the fluid was not goblin's blood cause it was thicker and darker in shade

Hitori followed the marks of the liquid, he saw the liquid was dripping from the roof.

Hitori got curious about the liquid that was dripping from the roof so he stretched out his hand to test what the liquid was, just like you do under the rain.

From the roof, a drop of thick green liquid fell on Hitori's forearm and he received a notification.

[you have been exposed to the Goblin Acid]

[health reduces by three points]

Three points for one drop?

Hitori looked up once again with wide eyes this time, "ah…"

Hitori's eye twitched when he saw a layer of goblin acid had started to form above his head.

"No…" and a drop fell, followed by a flood of thick green goblin acid.

Hitori raised an ice shield above his head to cover him from the acid and to protect himself from dying.

Hitori rushed to the other side of the room, the place where he guessed the door would open, Hitori lifted his leg and started kicking it.

The goblins in the room were being burned to death alive. This was another trap the goblins had created but they found themselves trapped in their own trap.

The goblin acid would drop from the roof if the goblin king dies. It was supposed to be like that but its dead comrades did not know that they would be trapped in the trap they created to kill their enemies.

Hitori landed another kick and the wooden wall crumbled down, a hole had formed in the wall through which Hitori managed to escape somehow.

A few goblins were desperate to follow Hitori through the hole but Hitori was not stupid to let them in.

He closed the hole with the use of the spell 'Freeze-Dry'. Frozen ice covered the hole, it prevented goblins from entering the second room on the third floor.
