Chapter 227 Sleep Together, Sleep Better

Hitori grabbed his head and fell into the chair. Is she mad? Is he mad? Why the hell is he doing this?

Reon was still crying, her cheeks were wet with her tears, and now her eyes were hurting. She sobbed again. She could not make herself look into his eyes or even at him.

Hitori opened the cooler and made himself a glass of Blue Lagoon. He did not bother asking Reon if she wanted some, he put the bottle back into the cooler.

He took a sip and asked, "When?"

She had stopped crying, but her vision was still blurred. "When what?"

Hitori took another sip and lowered the glass, then lifted it before it would touch the table, and gulped it down. "Tonight? Tomorrow night? When?"

Reon turned, rubbed her eyes, and took a glance at the time displayed behind her, beside the storeroom. It was nine o'clock. She turned and looked at Hitori. "In Two hours."

Hitori's mouth dropped open. Two hours? What do you mean two hours? He glanced at the time. "Tonight?" he asked, "no, you mean in two hours?"

She nodded. "He wants me there in two hours. I think he wants to do it around midnight."

"It does not matter when he does it to you after you are inside his house, you would not get out unless he wants you to leave. Or you break through the fort somehow."

"I know…. I know, that is why I want your help."

Hitori glanced at her for a second, then ignored her. "When did he talk to you? When did it happen?"

She gulped. This will get him pissed, she just knew. But she said, "At evening, around five at evening."

"Oh god, and you are telling me that four hours later?" Hitori groaned and crushed the glass that it cracked from the side. Hitori put the glass on the table and pulled back his hand.

He ignored the throbbing pain in his palm and looked at Reon. She lowered her gaze the instant he raised his eyes.

Reon bit her lip and forced herself to say it again, "Help me, please, I need to—"

"Help?" He scoffed, she was not expecting disrespect for her request. "W-What? I don't get it. You want my help when you told me the situation four hours later? Why would I even help you? If you had not gone to him, he would have never got attracted to you or whatever his fetish is."

"But he captured me! I didn't go to him," she said in protest.

That pissed him more. "You hid that from me for four hours. You should have told me the moment he did it to you. God, you never learn, do you? You keep doing this over and over and over—"

"What do you know how hard it is for a girl to tell someone she is going to be raped? You must have not even slept with someone yet, waiting for that dumb locket girl!" she shouted. She could not believe it, she was shouting at him. Shouting.

Hitori pursed his lips. "You have no right to bring her up. So what if I have no experience? At least I know it is not hard for a girl to tell someone she wants help from."

p "Well, I have told you now! So stop complaining like a kid! Think like a man would do in difficult situations and act upon them!"

That was when she knew she had crossed the line. She was not supposed to shout in Hitori's face, 'Man up!' She had done it, though.

He lifted his fist and banged the dining table. "Get laid," he muttered, "if you know so much about becoming a man, then go ahead and get laid! Why do I have to care whom you sleep with? Just think of it as casual sex and go for it!"

And he did not realize that he had crossed the line. He continued with his bullshit, but Reon knew those were not the things he should have said to a girl in distress.

"You think it is that easy, Hitori?" she interrupted him with confidence, "Then how about you sleep with me right now?"

His mouth remained open, he was more shocked than angry. "Mind what you—"

She did not mind what she said. "Just think of it as casual sex and do it with me. Forget about that fucking locket girl and—"

"I told you NOT TO bring HER in this conversation!" he shouted and was ready to fire a spell. She did not fear him right now, it was her plan to provoke him.

"Just that locket girl is for you, the girl you will stay a virgin for; the same was someone for me… someone who died– was killed brutally."

Hitori had opened his mouth and manifested a fireball, but stopped when she said her loved one had died brutally. A brutal death.

Tears rolled down her cheeks again, but she did not sob this time, she held her tears. "I didn't even get a look at his face when he died… can you imagine her dying like that," she said, pointing at Hitori's chest, "and then the person who killed him threatened you to sleep with him– fuck it– to rape you. Imagine it, just fucking do it. When you ask for help, from the person you trust the most, he says just sleep with him, that it is casual sex. Now I hope you can at least imagine how I felt."

No, he could not. He was too shocked and stunned to process anything other than her love interest– Kamiya, the one who was killed brutally. He hesitantly opened his mouth, it seemed useless to argue with her. It was like victim-blaming a wife for her husband's death in an accident when she was not even driving the car.

"Kamiya? He is dead… you better get over him."

She scoffed. "Hah, like you are the one to tell me that. Just so you know why I don't want that bastard's prick in me, besides the reason that he is a murderer– I wanted Kamiya to take my virginity. I wanted him to be my first—"

Hitori got up, his chair crashed on the floorboard, and he cracked the dining table from one side. "Well, he is DEAD! DEAD! He would not come back, so get over with your 'first time' shit."

He lowered his eyes and dashed into his room without even giving her a look on the way. Reon stood near the table, petrified with fear and anger.

She cried full-blown on the way to the woods where a portal was standing to take her to Onogi's house. It disappeared after she stepped into it.

For her mother, for her father, and for her brother. She had to do it. It is just a one time thing. I will bare with. How long will he even last? An hour max. It would not be a problem. I will bare him somehow.

But what she did not know was, he was not alone.
