Chapter 244 Youngblood

The moment Hitori saw Kamiya in the nerd who was getting beaten by the bully, he heard Kamiya's voice.

'What are you going to do? Watch? Or stop someone from suffering from the same fate? That fucking bully might not be as powerful as Onogi, but believe me, every bully is powerful for someone powerless.'

Hitori stood staring at the nerd, blood flowing from his nose, and he was trying to stop the bully. But the bully was too powerful for the nerd, he punched the nerd once again.

,m If he had closed his eyes, he was sure he would have seen Kamiya with that sympathetic frown on his face.

'Well, what are you waiting for? What are you going to do? Watch till the show is over?'

Why do they appear? he wondered, just to prompt me to do things.

Hitori clenched his fist and tried to control himself. I think I should, he thought.

Then he heard Kamiya once again while he saw the bully shouting at the nerd.

But with Kamiya shouting in his mind, the bully's shouts disappeared into the background.

'Are you really going to keep watching? Alright, take a look at the nerd lying on the ground.'

Hitori said in his mind, no, I do not want to see him.

He closed his eyes and lowered his eyes. He knew he would see Kamiya's crying face, the face he had seen the first time he had met him.

'Don't wimp out. Don't do that. You need to act.'

Hitori closed his eyes shut. The Law of the Jungle, Hitori thought.

'Alright… fine…' Hitori did not like that tone for a reason. 'It is your choice. Either run or stand and fight.'

But Hitori was lost in his thoughts. I lost my peace, my territory, and my pleasure in gaming. Now I do not want to do the thing I used to live for.

He released the tension in his eyes. It took a moment for the pain in his eyes to fade, but he kept his eyes closed.

Then I got the people around me involved. I lost my best friend, and a friend lost her finger for me– now her and her brother's life is in danger.

He forced himself and opened his eyes, knowing the face he would see, he opened his eyes. The bully had grabbed the neard by his collars, then he banged his head into the ground.

Some out-of-the-mind people were actually cheering for the bully to continue beating the shit out of the nerd. But a few were trying to sell their 'he is hurt', policy to the bully. As if he would listen.

The people from Mono's group had noticed the noises. They diverted Mono's attention from admiring the plats on the other side to the affair on the other end of the training arena.

And why did that happen to everyone around me? Hitori asked. Because I tried to change the Law of the Jungle. But now, I have more experience than I had before. If I do it right this time…

He took a step back and ignored the people around him. He focused on eyes on the bully who was had mounted the nerd. After a moment, even the nerd disappeared from his sight.

That would save a life. And if it will, then I will do it again.

Hitori swung his arm and grabbed his wand on the side. He drew it in the air. You always have someone better than you in the Jungle.

He lowered his wand. His shout rang throughout the empty training hall. "Bakuhatsu!"

The invisible power blast threw the bully away from the nerd, rolling on the ground, and stopping at least three meters away.

The guys gasped in fear as they saw the bully jump suddenly. Like thunder in the rainy clouds, Hitori's voice shuddered Mono. He paused where he was.

He kept his wand back into the side loop and turned around. He gulped, licked his lips, and rubbed his forehead. He was breathing harder than normal as he started walking towards the exit.

Heck with it. I did it. I don't care if that bully is— He heard the bully shout, "Where do you think you are going?"

Hitori's eyes widened. He turned in disbelief. The bully was standing even after being hit by Hitori's explosion spell. That was absurd, how was that even possible?

And not only that, the bully was holding a wand at Hitori. "Fireball!" the bully shouted.

Hitori was too surprised by the fact that the bully was still able to cast a fireball. He lifted his hand and extinguished the fireball in a swing. Not so powerful, though.

He saw the nerd trying to get off the ground, but the pain his face perhaps held him back. Then the nerd pulled a hand to his chest. Right, that bastard did smash his chest.

Hitori changed his plan. He was going to hold on to his mana and control himself, but now he realized the bully was not worth holding back on.

Looks I need to petrify you, bully. Hitori drew his wand again. The bully's face changed colors when he saw Hitori was about to attack him.

He panciked and fired fire spells all around the trainin area. Thank god for the enchanted glasses on the side. The students who were caught in the hellfire turned to the glasses.

Mono forgot about calming Hitori, it was too late, and stepping between them would mean his death, so he helped everyone get out of the training arena.

The bully raised his wand once again, Hitori followed him. He lowered his hand to petrify the bully, but the bully brought his wand down faster than him.

"Electrify!" shouted the bully. The words came out of his mouth like a petrifying spell, because Hitori was now petrified.

His hand froze in the middle and saw as the blue light of energy made its way towards him. It was electricity, the spell he only saw Kamiya use. It was a spell that brought memories and trauma.

The bully was successsful. He struck Hitori with an electric shock. He shriekd and dropped to the ground. His wand fell out of his hands, he kept his hands on the ground before he could bang his head on the ground.

He felt a surge of electricity that paralyzed him for a moment. The electricity left his body when he made contact with the earth, but he could still feel it.

Mono gasped as he watched from distance. The students from his and Hitori's group were disappointed in Hitori's strength though.

And so was Hitori.
