Chapter 353 Just The Way We Are

I have been losing sleep. Yet I can not stop dreaming about the things I want to be.

Draco disappeared. Kyo had to hide the dragon back in the lair before anyone could spot him, so he took a sharp turn and pulled Draco to the other side. Then he was off.

Creating ripples of air as he lew about the ground, slowly reaching the height – Kyo decided to lay low, so he was not flying at a high altitude – of around twenty meters off the ground.

Hitori rolled over and covered his eyes as the dust flew towards him. It embraced his body, then went past him.

Saiko snapped out of the gory scene, then turned to Hitori with his gun drawn. The gun's tip threatened to fire a bullet and create a hole in Hitori's head, but he did not even feel like fighting back or defending himself.

But Akira still had the energy to stand against Saiko. He stepped in front of Hitori with his wand raised, then he fired an explosions spell.

Akira pulled his gun inward and blocked the explosion's spell, but he landed hard in his chest and pushed him back. He staggered but maintained his balance somehow.

He raised his gun and pulled the trigger. Hitori jumped away from the range and Akira created a shield to take the bullets. Then he jerked his wand, firing a brown color beam.

Hitori went near Reon and said, "What do we do now?" But he received no reply from her.

Hitori glanced at her and found her staring at something else. Before he could open his mouth, he heard Eya gasp.

He turned to her. Her eyes were wide and her hand holding the wand in front of her mouth was shaking. Hitori never got the chance to ask her what was up.

She lowered her arm in a tight snap and looked at Hitori. Her face was tense, her eyebrows lowered in defeat. She opened her mouth, but then turned to Kakashi.

She tugged on his arm and got close to his ear. She whispered something, then turned back to Hitori. During this, Reon was standing on the other side of Kakashi, she had heard everything.

Now Eya was not the only one with that expression. Kakashi was staring at him with a look of defeat. He could not see Reon, but she had the same defeated expression.

Due to their reactions to something, Hitori was afraid to ask what was going on. He could not find the strength, and when he found it, he could not find his voice.

Finally, after fake coughing for twice or thrice, he found his voice. "What happened?"

"You need to leave," Eya said in a straight up, no questions asked, voice.

"W-Where?"

"You need to leave this place!" Kakashi stammered. "Tamashi," he said, "is coming. Atama-sensei was spying on him, and now he is coming for you."

"W-Why do I need to run?" Hitori got a little extract of the conflict.

"Because he is ten times stronger than he was before!" Eya said, raising her voice. "He never had many victims there, but here he does. Atama-sensei says he has sucked enough dark energy to rival him. So you need to leave."

"Run away? Are you telling me to run away?"

"It is not about running away. You need to live, that is it. You can not die unles your deed is done."

"What about you? Will you be able to hold him?"

"With Atama, Kakashi, and me… you bet we will. Although Tamashi has leveled up, there is —"

"— a limit to how much a certain character or item can level up." Hitori nodded. "I know."

Yes there is. Hitori has faced that too. He once had to upgrade an item, he had everything needed to upgrade that item, but the item could not level up after level two hundred no matter how much mony he spent on it.

So does not mattter how much dark energy Tamashi has sucked, one point will come when all of the energy sucked will turn to smoke inside his body. That will be his limit.

Hitori shook his head. He heard sighs, as if they were expecting that response. "I will face him. Tengoku is busy with Migi, and Akira is busy with Saiko. We can at least handle one another man."

Kakashi turned to Hitori and grabbed his shoulders. "You are forgetting something. If you waste and stamina with something you should not deal with, you will be left with nothing."

"Nothing for what?"

"Onogi. He is alive, remember, boy? He is not dead yet. And I think two will easily enter that side instead of six. So go ahead."

No one said anything for the time being, then Reon broke the silence. She walked past Kakashi and Eya. To his surprise, Reon's expression was the total opposite. Her eyesbrows were angeled down in anger, and she was wearing a frown which said 'I am not giving up even if I am defeated.'

She looked into Hitori's eyes and nodded. "We have to deal with Onogi, Tamashi is not our concern – main concern."

He was never the main concern. Onogi was their main concern and he was still alive. "Just the two of us?" Hitori said.

Reon looked at Kakashi and Eya for further instructions. "Call Ky-san if you need. And we will come to you as soon as we are done with Tamashi. Now go!"

Reon and Hitori exchanged glances. "Just us." Hitori could not get that fact out of his head, but then he remembered he had once stormed the fort alone.

He grabbed his wand, glanced at the dawn sky, then turned around. Reon followed him after waving once to Kakashi and Eya. "We will come as soon as we can!" they shouted.

Hitori ignored Tengoku and slid through Migi's side. The woods seemed farther than ever, but soon, he was into the woods.

Reon's hand came into his smooth and slow, but when it did, Hitori grabbed it and continued navigating through the woods.

"Are you prepard for this, Hitori?"

"No," he said, feeling Reon close behind him. "This idea strikes as insane to me. Onogi did not know I would storm his fort alone, but now he does and he is prepared."

"But now we are going and there is no turning back. Let us do this right."

"And end it once and for all," Hitori said. He rushed through the woods and felt the branches and leaves against his body. But it did not matter.
