Chapter 64 - “Oh, why am I sending it to the dressing room?” (2)
She took a in a breath, walked over next to Luo Xiu, and sat down slowly with her hand resting on her knees. It was summertime inside and outside of the script and their clothes were very thin. They barely touched each other and the burning sensation spread upward in a tingly way from the nerve endings.
Gu Nian’s back stiffened but Geng Hongyu’s face was dark. “No wonder I thought it looked odd through the monitor – what’s up with that? Are there spines on Luo Xiu’s lap that you forbid you from sitting down on it??”
Gu Nian, “I am sitting.”
“You call that sitting? That’s a horse stance!”

Gu Nian, “… …”
“Get up!”
Geng Hongyu couldn’t contain himself anymore and decided to be hands on.
As soon as Gu Nian had gotten up, she immediately saw Geng Hongyu reached out his evil claws, placed them like little hills onto her shoulders, and started pushing her onto Luo Xiu’s lap. “Use some force. Like you are falling onto his lap!”
Gu Nian was frantic, “Wait wait wait…”
Before she could finish talking, Luo Xiu let out a soft grunt and leaned forward. Gu Nian was completely and thoroughly push onto Luo Xiu.
The unfamiliar warmth from another felt burning hot.
Both of them stiffened up at the same time.
“------”
There was dead silence.
Geng Hongyu felt a little bit of guilty conscience after he had pushed Gu Nian down.
He might have been a little bit too aggressive and was too forceful when he pushed Gu Nian down. She was such a delicate girl. He hoped he didn’t hurt her.
Geng Hongyu quickly pulled his hands back.
Gu Nian turned around and bounced up the very second that the little hills were removed from her shoulders. She turned around anxiously, “Are you alright, Mr. Luo Xiu?”
“…I am fine.”
A few strands of his loose hair fell down and stuck to the side of his fair forehead. His eyelashes hid the emotions in his eyes. His thin lips were shut but his voice was still fairly gentle.
Gu Nian tightened her fists and stood up with her head lowered. “I am sorry, Director. I got it. There’s no need to be forceful anymore.”
Geng Hongyu cleared his throat with a guilty conscience and turned around. “Just keep that in mind next time.”
“… …”
Gu Nian turned back around and said in a low and seemingly dispirited voice. “I apologize, Mr. Luo Xiu. It was all my fault.”
Geng Hongyu was still walking back to his spot and there was no urgency in getting started right away. Luo Xiu looked up and asked nonchalantly, “Do you not wish to have physical contact with me, Miss Gu?”
“Of course not!” Gu Nian denied it immediately.
“What is it then?”
Gu Nian hesitated for two seconds then, with her head still lowered, said in dismay, “Mr. Luo Xiu was too skinny. I worried that I will hurt you……”
“?”
Luo Xiu was taken aback a little and looked at Gu Nian, stunned.
The girl was still kicking herself and her brows furrowed deeply. “Had I known Director Geng would have used so much force, I should have just sat down on my own.”
“… …”
Luo Xiu was finally able to recollect himself.
He lowered his eyes and couldn’t help the abrupt smile in his eyes. “Do I look that fragile in Miss Gu’s eyes?”
Gu Nian worried that her words would hurt her precious son’s ego so she quickly added. “No, no. With the force of the collision along with the acceleration, the force could be strong… …”
With the girl’s solemnly theory and anxiously explanation, the smile in Luo Xiu’s eyes finally broke free from his disguise and slowly spread to the narrow corners of his eyes.
When he spoke again, one could tell he was laughing and, there was rare real tenderness in his voice.
“It’s alright. You won’t break me. Just relax, Miss Gu. You can sit all you want.”
“-------”
Gu Nian was stunned.
His “sit all you want”, with the tone seemingly coming from the character in the script, sounded a lot like… …
“Please help yourself.”
Along with his voice, the man leaned back into the leather couch. His thin shirt was stretched so much that one could see his fierce and charming lines. He looked up with his dark brown eyes They resembled aged wine and could make one feel like one was drowning in the deep ocean.
His charm was unrivaled.
