Chapter 49: Phoenix Sovereign Inheritance [1]

All the disciples around the Inheritance chamber were excited and ready for the chamber to open.

Is everyone here for the Phoenix Sovereign's Inheritance?

No, many of them are here to get the rich and powerful artifacts, and pills that were scattered within the artifacts which can help them fasten their cultivation and get the treasures for their Sect.

They knew that it was impossible to get the inheritance as many disciples had tried over the past years and have failed.

However, seems like there are some new candidates this year who can actually get this Phoenix Sovereign Inheritance.

A woman stood at the very front of the crowd, her silver hair fluttering in the air, her piercing silver eyes fixed on the red altar in front of her.

Hong Shi is wearing a battle armor that excludes divinity and a holy aura.

Hei Shin of the Black Serpent Sect frowned his eyebrows in concern looking at Hong Shi 'Seems like I have heavy competition this year and she is in the 7th stage of Spirit Profound stage.'

'After thousands of years, a great talent who has condensed a Golden Profound Sea... But I will surely get this Inheritance this year.'

'I have trained so much for this.' Hei Shin gripped his palm as determination flashed in his eyes.

The disciples of the other prominent sects were also keeping their keen eyes on the altar of the Pheonix waiting for it to open.

Ming Yuelin who was at the far back squinted her eyes looking at the crowd in front of her 'I need to get in quick when the door opens... but there is this big crowd in front of me.'

'I got to be wary of Hong Shi, that black Serpent Sect guy, the Golden Mammoth Sect, and two other prominent sects. Hmm..'

As she was pondering, *swish* the space in front of the red altar twirled and a red energy condensed In the form of a big circle.

*swoosh* As the red portal opened, Hong Shi disappeared from her place and dashed inside the portal at lightning speed.

Wha- Hei Shin was dumbfounded to look at her speed and hurriedly rushed to enter the portal.

*woosh* However at this time, he felt a presence above his head and saw a woman with black hair and blue eyes flying in the air.

Huh? Who is she?

'Phoenix dance steps.'

Muttering under her breath, Ming Yuelin jumped in the air, small phoenix wings appearing on her legs as she hopped above a disciple's head.

...

*swoosh* Jumping in the portal, Ming Yuelin felt her body swirling around in the air and all she could see was pitch dark.

*thud* She suddenly fell on the ground and grabbed her back in mild pain "Urgh, my rear..."

Hm? As she raised her gaze she looked at the morning sunlight flashing in her eyes and she hastily glanced around.

'I am somewhere in the forest...' she mumbled in her mind looking at the lush greenery surrounding her.

"This place looks too real. Wait, I forgot to ask Master a question. Will I die really if I die inside this space?"

She looked back and saw there was no one around her 'So everyone who entered has been split randomly inside this forest?'

With no clue what to do, she wandered around the forest and this time, she heard low hissing noises from behind.

Hm? Suddenly a purple mist began to envelop her and her gaze narrowed 'Poison?'

*swish* A dark red fire appeared around her body burning the mist near her and she took the bow from her storage ring.

Pulling back the string, a silver arrow appeared in between her fingers and she infused the arrow with her Yin fire.

Her eyes turned golden and used her profound perception to pinpoint the enemy hiding in the woods as she pointed her arrow in that direction.

'Glad, yesterday I went with Master to the forest for a beast hunt.'

*sleeech* Her arrow pierced through the air instantly hitting its target.

"Guarghh!" She heard a sudden shriek and Ming Yuelin rushed to the spot; there she saw a long 20 meters Purple Mist snake withering on the ground in pain, her arrow stuck in its head.

But suddenly her instincts tingled 'From behind' As she turned around her head, she saw another Purple Mist snake dashing towards her.

She quickly pulled the string to kill it; however, in the next instant, a sharp glint caught her eyes and she saw a silver spear cleaving through the air.

*thud* *BOOM* The silver spear struck the snake blasting it to pieces.

Hm? Ming Yuelin turned her gaze to look at the gorgeous woman and her eyebrows frowned 'Hong Shi.'
