Chapter 139: The Beast Tide [4]

*swish*

In a single fluid motion, Jin Wei spun, her blade slicing through the air in a wide arc.

*sleesh* The tip of her sword caught the beast's underbelly, and a spray of thick, dark blood erupted from the wound.

"WRAAARGHHH!!" The centipede screeched in agony, its body writhing as it shrank.

But Jin Wei was relentless and darted forward, dodging through the beast's thrashing limbs with a precision that left those watching breathless.

Her sword danced in her hand, cutting through the air with deadly accuracy.

*sleesh* *sleesh* Each strike severed the beast's legs one after another as she dodged its venomous fangs and swiping claws.

A claw slashed toward her, aiming for her torso, but Jin Wei leaped into the air, twisting gracefully as the blow passed just inches beneath her.

Landing lightly on one of the centipede's many legs, she sprinted up its body, her blade flashing as she struck at its armor-like scales.

"GUARGH!!" The beast writhed in fury, snapping its jaws at her, but Jin Wei moved with such speed that the creature seemed unable to keep up.

*woosh* She was like a blur of silver and steel, her movements seamless, every slash of her sword precise.

Around her, smaller spirit beasts lunged, taking advantage of the chaos and a hulking arachnoid beast skittered toward her, its mandibles clicking furiously.

Without even glancing in its direction, Jin Wei flicked her wrist, as a white sword slash flashed through the air.

The slash beheaded the creature in a single strike and Its dead body crumpled to the ground.

"GRAARGH!!" The centipede let out another ear-splitting screech as it tried to shake her off, its body coiling in an attempt to crush her.

*flick* Jin Wei jumped again, soaring through the air as the massive coils crashed together beneath her, missing her by a fraction of an inch.

*swosh* As she slashed her sword mid air, white arcs of sword energy shot out from her blade, crisscrossing the battlefield.

*sleesh* Each one sliced through the centipede's armored body, leaving deep gashes that oozed blood.

"WAAAAGHH!" The beast thrashed wildly, its segmented body twisting as it tried to evade the relentless barrage of slashes.

She landed lightly on the ground and spun, her sword cutting a perfect circle as another wave of sword energy surged forward.

The slash cleaved through several of the centipede's legs, sending them flying through the air before crashing to the ground with a thud.

*sleesh* Cutting another spirit beast, Jin Wei's eyes narrowed "That was not the sound which stirred this beast tide. This is just in the 1 stage of the Venerable Profound Stage."

"That beast should be more powerful... it should be in the rear in the mountains. Haa, let's clear these small ones first." she muttered under her breath.

Smiling, Chen Zin jumped into the crowd of beasts "I can't let my Master take away all the flashlight."

"I should also do good considering that I am that dumb woman's disciple."

*swoosh* Flames burst out of her body, as the red sword in her hand glowed with an intense crimson light, reflecting the flames that danced across her body.

The reptilian monstrosities, lunged forward, but Chen Zin's expression remained calm, her eyes focused on the oncoming horde.

*swoosh* She raised her sword, and flames erupted along its blade, burning fiercely.

The heat intensified, creating a shimmering haze around her and her grip tightened, and with a deep breath, she took her stance, ready to strike.

*whoosh*

Chen Zin surged forward, her sword blazing as she cut through the wave of beasts.

Her blade cleaved through the air, sending arcs of flame with every slash.

The moment her sword made contact with the multi-legged creature with fangs dripping venom—it erupted into flames, screeching as it was consumed by the fire.

*swish*

With a spin, she unleashed a wide, sweeping strike, and a surge of fire exploded outward from her sword.

The flames expanded in a devastating arc, engulfing several beasts at once.

"WRAARGH!" Their cries were drowned out by the roaring inferno as they were reduced to ash within moments.

Zhang Yuan who was floating in the air smiled faintly looking at the two beautiful women dancing across the battlefield with their swords.

He then glanced at his two disciples who were descending down the mountains to the City's front gate.

"This will be interesting..."
