Chapter 1423: Lilith Vs Martial Blade God [Pt 1]

"Are you ready, Lilith?"

The Martial Blade God's voice boomed, his hand reaching for the hilt of his blade. "This time, I'll surpass you!"

Lilith gave a faint smirk, her crimson eye gleaming with confidence.

"You've been saying that for centuries, but you never seem to learn. Let's see if this time will be any different."

As if on cue, the Martial Blade God unsheathed his weapon—a long, gleaming blade that shimmered unnaturally under the crimson sky.

The very act of drawing it caused the ground beneath him to fracture, the shockwave rippling outward in a violent burst of force.

Lilith raised her hand, summoning a barrier around Neron. Her voice was calm but commanding.

"Stay behind this. You're not ready for what's about to happen."

Neron opened his mouth to argue but stopped when he saw the look in her eyes—a mixture of determination and warning. He clenched his fists and nodded, retreating to the edge of the barrier.

"Let's begin," Lilith said, raising her hands.

~BOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!~

A swirling vortex of magic erupted around her, her figure bathed in an ethereal glow as the ground cracked and floated under the force of her power.

The Martial Blade God didn't wait.

With a roar, he charged forward, his blade cutting through the air with such speed that it seemed to blur. Lilith's hand shot up, a massive shield of dark energy forming before her.

The blade struck it with an earth-shattering impact, the resulting shockwave sending debris flying in all directions.

A storm was unleashed instantly.

The Martial Blade God pressed his assault, his blade flashing in a series of precise, lightning-fast strikes.

~SWISH!~

~SWOOSH!~

Each swing carried an overwhelming force, splitting the ground and sending fissures racing across the landscape.

Lilith met his onslaught with equal ferocity.

Her movements were fluid, her hands weaving intricate patterns as she summoned barriers, redirected his attacks, and countered with bursts of raw magic. A torrent of fire erupted from her palm, forcing him to leap back.

"Still relying on those cheap tricks?" he taunted, spinning his blade in a defensive arc.

"And you're still swinging that sword like a brute," Lilith retorted, her tone biting.

She raised her hands, and the ground beneath him erupted in jagged spikes of obsidian, forcing him to dart sideways.

He smirked, the gleam in his eyes showing he relished the challenge.

"You haven't seen anything yet."

His blade descended in a sweeping arc, splitting the air with a deafening roar. Lilith raised both hands, summoning a massive shield of light to intercept the attack.

The impact sent shockwaves rippling outward, leveling the already-ruined terrain. Neron stumbled backward despite the barrier protecting him, his ears ringing from the sheer force.

Lilith countered with a surge of energy that spiraled toward her opponent. He sliced through it effortlessly, closing the gap once more.

Their clash intensified, each strike and counterstrike sending ripples through the fabric of reality itself.

The battle ascended into the sky, their movements so fast and destructive that they seemed more like forces of nature than individuals.

Lightning crackled through the storm clouds above as the two combatants exchanged blow after blow, neither yielding an inch.

"You can't keep this up forever!" the Martial Blade God shouted, his blade spinning in a deadly flourish.

"You'd be surprised," Lilith replied, her voice steady despite the chaos.

With a wave of her hand, she summoned a swarm of ethereal chains that snaked toward him, glowing with arcane power.

He slashed through them, his movements a blur.

"Is that the best you've got?"

Her lips curled into a smirk. "Not even close."

She raised her hands to the heavens, and the clouds above swirled violently. A massive beam of energy descended, its light illuminating the entire battlefield.

The Martial Blade God met it head-on, his blade glowing brighter than ever as he cleaved through the attack.

~VWUUUUUMMM!~

As the dust settled, the two hovered high above the ruined landscape, their auras blazing like twin suns.

"Haaa..."

The Martial Blade God grinned, his eyes gleaming with unbridled excitement.

"You've gotten stronger, Lilith. But now, I'll be going all out."

Lilith's expression remained calm, though her gaze sharpened.

"Good. I'd hate for this to be over too quickly."
