Chapter 50: Chapter 50: Finders Keepers III

Huge thanks to Alex and Adam for buying my Patreon! It really means a lot to me! anyways, onto the story!

[3rd POV] [The Next Day]

It was the day after Gwen got her new familiar, Hati. While also getting access to the power of the Helmet of Chaos. During this time, she had finally finished the project she had been working on for Artemis. While she had also begun to test around with making some new and improved suits for the team.

She would have used vibranium to make some stronger armor for them, she didn't know the atomic makeup for it. It seems even Tony Stark and Reed Richards weren't able to figure that little thing out. But what she could make, was Reed Richards custom suits, which is done through the creation and usage of unstable molecules. Combine that and some other ideas she had, and you get some very helpful, even stronger, suits.

She planned on starting that specific project, once she was done with this little adventure. She found that the Tower of Fate was showing to be a godsend more and more, with it's immense amount of rooms, and the ability to teleport there from anywhere. It was basically the perfect base to not only hide out in, but also create more...sensitive technologies.

She planned on seeing if it was possible to drag the tower alongside her to the next world, but she wasn't entirely sure how that would work. As the Tower of Fate was basically it's own dimension of immense size, whether or not it'd be able to travel the multiverse without negative consequences, was something she'd need to look into eventually.

She planned on creating an Arc reactor soon, and allowing her symbiote to absorb it. Solely to see what sort of effect it would have on the thing. There was some other energy sources she wanted to make, but they were a bit harder to create than the Arc reactor.

With her symbiotes ability to absorb technology, she eventually planned on creating some of the stronger Iron Man suits. The Bleeding Edge, Endo-Sym, His main model/model-prime, and some other ones. But a lot of them had some very very powerful energy sources, so it'd have to wait a little bit.

At the moment, Gwen was on a small island, where the final object should be.

Unlike the other Lord of Chaos object that she had found, this one was...different. Just from being near it, she could sense the dark...dark power within it. It was different than the normal chaos magic that wafted out of it, it was as if there was something else inside of it. And Gwen was quite determined to find out.

'Whatever is inside the object...it's strong, any ideas what it could be, Teekl, Hati, Nabu?'

"I've got no idea, kid. Whatever that thing is...it's dark, as in darker than your normal Lord of Chaos dark" Hati responded, not liking the dark sensation that the island was full of.

"What the mutt said" Teekl added.

"Whatever it is, it is not a Lord of Chaos, child. Meaning, this object must be corrupted by something else, or the Lord of Chaos in question, has worked with another evil entity, making this object corrupted, but more powerful in return" Nabu said, being on the same boat as Hati, not liking this uncomfortable feeling that his host was being bombarded with.

'That's just great. There's an unknown factor that is corrupting/strengthening the object I'm about to take, and I've got no knowledge on what the bloody thing is' Gwen cursed.

'System, will this corrupting affect do anything to me?'

[The system will not aid in fighting off the corruption effect for this specific object]

'... Why?' Gwen asked in confusion. The system had never done such a thing before.

[It is for the development of the host. You will come out stronger due to it. Just trust in your own strength and willpower]

'That's...not worrying or anything' Gwen thought with a deep sigh, for what felt like the tenth time today.

Continuing to walk through the forests of the island she was on, she eventually found herself in front of a large alter. In the middle a single, black object glowed a deep blood red, with hints of purple.

(Just the Helmet)

'Is that the Helmet of Hate? But how? In the comics that thing is connected with Raven, and is literally her Demonic Half of her soul. But she definitely isn't separated like that here. Meaning...it might be connected to something a lot more dangerous' Gwen thought, realizing what that corrupting effect might be.

Breathing in deeply, she walked forward towards the glowing Helmet. Gripping it, she lowly lifted it, before lowering it onto her head, immediately she was pulled into her mindscape.

Looking around, every instinct in her body flared as she rolled to the left, and turned to the attacker.

'Oh...fuck'

Standing there was a large, demonic looking entity. Red skin, horns on it's head, four glowing eyes, and a giant form. Power rolled off it in waves.

Standing before Gwen, was one of the most dangerous entities in all of DC. The Celestial Conqueror. The Father of Raven.

Before her stood the Omnimolevolent being known as... Trigon.

'Just my fucking luck' Gwen cursed deeply, as she stared up at the father of Raven. She was quite confident that this was not the true Trigon, as, as far as she knew, there was only one. This was more than likely a small fraction of his true self, that was left here by the actual Trigon that exists in the main Comic universe. If it was the real one, she would have been crushed like a bug without having even the slightest chance.

The being was regularly compared to the likes of the Spectre, Anti-Monitor, Comics Nabu in his true form, and the likes. Not exactly something she had a chance against.

But this version...it was a tiny fraction of him, it was powerful...but not unstoppable.

"Foolish girl, thinking you could simply claim that helmet without any consequences" Trigon spoke, a low laugh escaping his lips.

"You will be the perfect host for my emergence into this world. My perfect host to return my daughter to me...perhaps even a good pet to mate with" Trigon said as he looked her over.

Gwen scowled deeply, as glows formed behind her.

Behind her stood Nabu, Cyra, Myrath, Teekl, and Hati. All glaring at the entity. As most Lords of Chaos didn't like Trigon, no one did.

"Begone foul being. This is our host, we will not allow you to harm her" Nabu spoke, causing Trigon to scowl.

"And you think I care for your desires, Lord of Order? I want her, so she shall be mine. Now begone, so that I may claim her" Trigon spoke out, as a wave of energy slammed against

them, as they fluttered off.

'Fuck'

"Your little friends have been cut out. It will only last a short while, but that is all I need to take you and break you" Trigon spoke with a grin, as his eyes glowed, a beam of energy slamming where Gwen once stood, only for her to dodge and send her own magic at him. He effortlessly batted it to the side, before sending more and more beams of pure energy at him. "Get the fuck out of my head, you stupid prick" Gwen growled, as she sent more and more beams of energy at him. All of it being batted to the side.

"You have a strong will...I enjoy breaking strong woman even more" Trigon grinned, as he continued to attempt, and fail at hitting Gwen.

A growl escaped his lips at the constant failed attempts, as Gwen tried to damage the being.

"Fuck off!" Gwen snarled, attempting to use her energies to pry free, only for him to keep his

grip on her tight.

Energy glowed out of his fist, as it began to slowly enter Gwen, who growled and thrashed. She could feel it try it's best to corrupt her, but she fought with all her will.

"You've already lost, woman. Give up" Trigon said with a grin, watching as she thrashed in

his fist.

"In your dreams you ugly dick! I don't fear you! And I sure as hell will never submit to you!" Gwen snarled out, causing Trigon to scoff and reply.

But Gwen...Gwen didn't hear it. She was more focused on something else.

A soft mechanical voice entered her head.

"Gwendolyn Wayne of %#@%"

Gwen breathed deeply as she heard the voice, as all the other words were cut off. She could

feel it, as something in the real world, slowly slipped onto her finger. Gwen's face slowly broke out into a wide grin, as a laugh escaped her. Realization began to set

in, on what the object was. As she remembered the hidden reward she had gotten from overcoming her fear of the Endless, a reward she would have gotten regardless of the system or not. A reward...no...a power all her own, a power that the system had not given her. Looking up to Trigon, Gwen opened her mouth. And began to speak a mantra...no...an OATH.

"In Brightest Day" A green glow slowly began to fill her mindscape, as Trigon's 4 eyes blinked in confusion.

"In Blackest Night" The glow began to grow stronger and stronger.

"No Evil shall escape my sight" Trigon roared in pain as he dropped Gwen, his hand steaming

and burnt, Gwen who started to float on her own, kept her eyes closed.

"Let those who worship evils might" Trigon's eyes widened.

"YOU WILL NOT RESIST ME!" Trigon roared out, sending a large beam of energy at Gwen,

who just ignored it.

"BEWARE MY POWER" Her voice boomed through the mindscape, louder than even that of

Trigon's.

"GREEN LANTERNS LIGHT!" As the Oath was spoken, as the ancient creed was uttered, the energy swirled and slammed against Trigon, who screeched in pain. As his body began to get completely and utterly annihilated.

A soft voice sounded out in the real world, a voice that belonged to one of the most powerful

objects in the entirety of fiction. A weapon that, even if weakened due to belonging to a

weaker universe, was still powerful, was still...dangerous. "Welcome... To the Green Lantern Corps"

MWAHAHA, I feel evil for ending it on that note.

That is the end of the chapter, but it's also an idea I've had for quite some time. Gwen has

more willpower than...well everyone lol. Not even Hal Jordan compares. And with her overcoming the fear of literal personifications, I thought it fitting that she'd get the ring. The ring is not on the level of the comics (not even close lol) but it is powerful, and will be

VERY important in future worlds. I've got an endgame idea regarding several objects and characters she's getting, but it won't come to fruition for a while.

Next chapter will be shorter. It'll go more into detail on the ring, her new artifact, and what

the destruction of the fragment of Trigon means. This isn't his true form (His true form is the

comics version, so not something she can fight) but it's a mere small fraction that was housed in the helm. More will be revealed next chapter, lol.

Not sure how good the fighting was, but it was hard to write, as I'm not the best at action or

any of that. Plus, Gwen HAD to get overcome with sheer numbers, as that is literally the only way you can overcome her senses, besides being faster (Like Trigon, a literal demonic god). She also has unlocked her semblance, which while not that strong at the moment, will be very

very strong in the future. I got the idea from a reader of Webnovel I believe, if I find their username, I'll give them a shoutout, as it is a sick idea that I really liked.

The Helmet is yet another comic object, that was made from the demonic half of Raven's soul.

It was actually a ally of Amanda Waller (hate her so much) and The Council of Light (Aka the

Light). It's basically the same as the Helmet of Chaos, but probably stronger, due to the influence of Raven's soul.

Next chapter will mark the end of her first mini arc. I've got some other arc ideas. Involving: Circe, The Green Lantern Corps, A very special group I have plans for, and more.

I want to make more OC self created plots, as I have been enjoying it for this fic, as I actually

have knowledge in it lol.

While the Green Lantern ring is powerful...especially in her hands. This is the Young Justice

one, making it quite limited in power, in comparison to it's comic version.

Anyways, sorry for the long author note, have a good day! Alternate Title/True Title - Welcome to the Green Lantern Corps
