Rain's heart ached as he observed the young Kraggul's harsh reality as a slave. He witnessed the boy's struggles, the hunger that gnawed at his belly, and the relentless labor that wore down his small frame. Despite the torment, a fierce determination burned in the boy's eyes, a resolve to survive and rise above his circumstances.
The scene shifted, and Rain saw Kraggul as a young warrior, training in secret, honing his skills with a makeshift weapon. Rain felt the sting of Kraggul's desperation and the fire of his ambition. Every strike, every parry was a testament to his unyielding will to break free from the chains of slavery.
Years passed in the blink of an eye, and Rain witnessed Kraggul's ascent through sheer strength and cunning. He saw the young warrior challenge his oppressors, leading a revolt that sparked hope in the hearts of his fellow slaves. With each victory, Kraggul's legend grew, and Rain felt the weight of responsibility that settled on his shoulders as he took on the mantle of leadership.
The memory shifted again, and Rain saw Kraggul as a king, standing tall but burdened by the demands of his people. Behind closed doors, Kraggul's facade of strength crumbled, revealing a leader tormented by the fear of failing those who looked up to him.
The weight of responsibility pressed heavily on his shoulders, and Rain saw the countless sleepless nights, the moments of doubt, and the sacrifices made for the sake of his people.
Rain's heart clenched as he realized the depth of Kraggul's struggle. The Hobgoblin King was not merely a tyrant but a leader shaped by suffering and hardship. He had fought for his people's freedom, and the ambition that drove him was born from a desire to ensure they would never return to the chains of slavery.
The vision began to fade, and Rain felt himself being pulled back to the reality of the battlefield. The understanding he had gained from witnessing Kraggul's life remained with him, a poignant reminder of the complexities of leadership and the shared humanity that connected them, even across the divide of enmity.
Rain found himself back in the present, the battlefield around him coming into sharp focus.
Rain's eyes locked on Kraggul's face. The Hobgoblin King was still on his knees, blood on his lips and his eyes slowly dimming. Yet, there was a small, serene smile on his face.
"Alas . . . I'll be joining you soon . . .

my brothers . . ." Kraggul croaked.
Rain watched him, the hatred he had felt when Chin sacrificed himself for him fading, replaced by a profound sadness. He couldn't blame Kraggul, for he had fought not for himself but for his entire race. Even if he wanted to, he couldn't hate him — not after everything he had seen.
"I guess . . . I couldn't make it . . ." Kraggul continued, his voice weakening.
"I couldn't . . . turn the Hobgoblins into a powerful force . . .
I couldn't . . . free us from our wretched fate . . ."
However, Rain's voice cut through their sorrow like a beacon. "I need every one of you to survive," he said through the heavy silence, firm and hard. "You carry the torch of your fallen king. If you fall now, who will fulfill his dreams? Who will carry on his fight to shatter the chains of slavery binding your people? You must endure, battle, and breathe until your last breath.
This is your duty — to King Kraggul, and to yourselves."
Moved by his words, the Hobgoblins fell to their knees, their tears mingling with the dirt beneath them. One by one, they pledged their loyalty to Rain, their cries of devotion filling the air.
In that moment, they swore to honor Kraggul's memory and strive towards the freedom their fallen king had dreamed of.
Rain took a deep breath, his gaze sweeping over the battlefield. It was over . . . It was finally over. "Everyone, let's go home!"

As Rain and his allies began preparations to honor their fallen and return to their home, a pair of amber eyes watched from the crest of a distant hill.
Friend or foe, their identity remained a mystery. For now, this chapter had ended, and Rain prepared to step into a new arc of his journey.
