Chapter 45 Cultivator

Name:Spirit Soul Author:
Time flew by, and it was the 10th day since Kyle awoken from his comatose state.

His wounds had almost completely healed which was owing to the Nurture ability he had used once every few hours.

Many things had happened in the meantime!

Not only had the Emerald Fox grown up and completely matured, but Kyle was able to gradually heal Selene as well.

Owing to the Emerald Fox replenishing his energy simultaneously, his health and condition had improved at a much rapid pace.

His Spirit Soul's combat prowess was now similar to that of a beast at the Initial Fortification stage.

It would still take a few weeks, but after reaching maturity, the Emerald Fox's energy absorption and conversion processes would be enhanced.

This accelerated the pace at which Kyle could cultivate.

Because of that, it was no wonder that his body had been fully merged with Soul force!

There were many things Kyle had to take care of and even more which he wanted to achieve as soon as possible.

However, the key to achieving almost everything he had on his mind was to break into the Fortification stage!

Unfortunately, as a Spirit Soul cultivator, this was easier said than done.

Under normal circumstances, one could only cultivate based on the type of cultivation vein they had awakened, but this was not the case for Spirit Soul cultivators!

They already had to cultivate their body to adjust themselves to the changes the future cultivation path would bring.

As a Spirit Soul cultivator, the Spirit Soul was said to be connected to everything within the Cultivator.

Kyle knew this, and if he had understood it correctly, the location at which the Egg of the beginning had hatched was considered as the Spirit Soul's habitat.

This connection was linked to the soul veins that allowed Kyle to cultivate with soul force!

The first stage of the cultivation path was the step to fortify the foundation and create a vessel.

Once it was done, this vessel would later be nurtured, refined and further developed.

Every path had its own perks of creating a vessel according to the energy one was cultivating.

In the path of Maest, one would cultivate with mana in order to create a vessel that could hold mana. The quantity and quality of mana would determine its strength.

Thus, one could advance slowly by further refining the mana.

In the path of Pryr, everything that was related to strength would be turned into the vessel.

For Pryr Cultivators, the main gathering place of primordial energy was the center of the abdomen.

The life force of the body and every cell within would be slowly developed and cultivated.

As for the path of Spiral, the brain was to become the vessel of spiritual energy, which would be similarly refined, developed and made use of.

In his past life, cultivators with the path of Spiral were made fun of by many races, and deemed as useless.

However, Kyle couldn't help but be the most hopeful about cultivating in the path of Spiral.

He had already spent hours imagining how great it would be to have his brain enhanced when his cultivation base increased.

To become a Spirit Soul cultivator, one had to cultivate in all three paths.

And, the vessel Kyle had to construct was the place at which everything had begun for him and his Spirit Soul!

The center of his chest was the habitat of the Emerald Fox.

It was the place at which it had been born and the place that was connected to every cell of his body.

This was what Kyle had found interesting after his reincarnation.

The Egg of the beginning was in the center of his chest which could be considered as a perfect position to construct his vessel.

His soul force would be stored inside the vessel and could be transferred to every single part of his body just the way the heart pumped blood to every single cell.

Unfortunately, cultivating in all three cultivation paths had its fair share of disadvantages.

A high amount of the soul force had to be used to create the vessel and refine his body, mind and soul force's purity!

Kyle was eager to become a true cultivator which meant that he had to set the foundational stone to construct a large vessel around the Spirit Soul's habitat.

Selene was equally excited for Kyle though she couldn't completely understand it.

Together, both had hunted lots of beasts during the last few days to help the Emerald Fox quickly mature.

At the same time, Kyle continued to tend to his injuries that didn't seem to restrict him much after a few days.

Thus, he focused on healing Selene with the Nurture ability, while simultaneously gathering all kinds of things which they could sell inside Vila town.

Every time Kyle was left with some spare soul force, he used it for Selene.

Noticing that he was prioritizing her well-being over his goal, she decided to lie to him.

Thus, she told him that her repulsive cultivation veins didn't hurt her as much as before.

Relieved that she was not in pain anymore, Kyle focused on establishing the foundation for his vessel.

Increasing his cultivation base would allow him to further nurture his Spirit Soul that would in turn become stronger.

Consequently, he would gain more energy that could be used to accelerate his cultivation speed.

Moreover, the stored energy could be once again used to nurture the Emerald Fox.

Thus it could choose to mutate, or even evolve.

Kyle wanted to build a continuous cycle of his two traits strengthening each other endlessly while solving Selene's issue.

This way he could nurture her and other comrades he was bound to encounter in the future!

Had Kyle been alone, he might have struggled to face the old reincarnations.

They had an upper hand on him owing to the fact that they had lived for centuries and reincarnated with all of their memories and traits intact.

But with Selene by his side, it would be less strenuous to ensure his continued survival.

This had been yet another reason for him to help Selene.

When he had first seen her, trembling outside Zwark's hut, and getting kicked for no fault of hers, he had wanted to give her a chance to rewrite her destiny.

And now that he had accepted her as his companion, Kyle realized that she had been worth saving.

Selene had readily grabbed the chance to become stronger and Kyle was glad to have her next to him.

Not only was Selene a useful companion, but she was also good to talk to.

The little Lohar was ambitious and eager to increase her knowledge about everything.

Another four days had passed in which Kyle had focussed on accumulating energy to create the basic foundation of the vessel.

They had been traveling in search of it for almost two weeks. He hoped that they could find Vila town any minute now.

As if on cue, Selene exclaimed about being able to see the outlines of a large tower from afar.

However, while hearing her, Kyle's mind was somewhere else.

The Emerald Fox who had been lying on his head merged with Kyle as he sat down without saying anything.

He sensed that he had accumulated enough soul force to enter the Fortification stage.

As such, he didn't want to waste another second.

There were no beasts around them, and entering the Fortification stage wouldn't take long either.

Thus, he smiled at Selene, before he closed his eyes.

Knowing that she would protect him, he could wholeheartedly cultivate without the fear of getting attacked.

As he began to focus on the soul force ravaging inside his body, he felt exhilarated.

Without a vessel, one couldn't properly annex the energy within the body.

This was another important aspect of the vessel. It allowed the Cultivator to annex the absorbed energy and control it efficiently.

Time passed slowly and Kyle made use of his instincts and the large quantity of information he had learned about the different kinds of cultivation techniques.

The first step to the path of cultivation was also the most important, but Kyle had never laid his hands on a real cultivation technique.

As such, he only had his instincts and the Emerald Fox to rely on.

His Spirit Soul reassured him that he was doing everything correctly which was more reliable than the information he had procured in his past life.

Nevertheless, everything seemed to work out properly, and even if he would have done something wrong, destroying his cultivation was still possible.

It might hurt, and prevent him from cultivating for several months if he were forced to do the same due to an unforeseen error.

But, this punishment was still light due to his low cultivation base!

The higher the cultivation stage was, the more problems one would face after destroying their entire cultivation.

Thanks to that, Kyle could risk acting according to his desire.

Less than half an hour later, he was done and a tiny portion of his vessel had been constructed.

Kyle was extremely proud of his achievement and felt relieved to have finally taken his first step towards being a real cultivator.

Others might laugh at him, but that was not something he would bother about.

The vessel was still hollow, and he circulated the remaining soul force through his body before inserting it into the small part of his soul core's foundation.

It was nothing noteworthy, but only a few moments later Kyle could sense that his body was slowly being nurtured.

Everything within him received a minuscule enhancement, and it was impossible for Kyle to not smile.

The dream of his past life had finally come true; he had become a true Cultivator!!
