Everyone was still affected by the purification they had witnessed. It was etched on their mind and kept repeating itself over and over again.
"Their souls are weird…" Kyle said all of a sudden when they were flying over the area where the vile beasts had been purified.
The souls of these existences were not able to detach from the body of the purified existences as it was usually the case but it looked more like they were forced to stay inside their body.
It was not a permanent state, which Kyle noticed when the first souls detached from the body they had once used as a vessel when they had already passed by it.
"What is so weird about them? Don't you want to absorb them?" Selene asked, looking over at Kyle. His expression didn't look good right now but it was not as if they could say that about any of them. All of them were affected by the situation below them.
"The souls seem damaged after they've been purified. I don't even want to absorb them…it's a weird feeling, and I cannot really explain it. Like my entire existence feels disgusting and repulsive just by looking at these souls…" Kyle tried to explain what he felt and saw but Selene didn't really understand.
She looked at him for a moment before nodding her head acting as if she understood.
They flew silently over the 'battlefield', high enough not to be noticed by most Nasga on the ground and low enough to prevent any aerial beast to feel agitated by the infiltration of their territory.
It took them a while to cross the battlefield where hundreds of thousands of purified vile existences were lying. Numerous Nasga flooded the ground but they didn't seem to be injured.
"They survived falling from such a high altitude? All of them? That's…lucky," Yasmine said with a specific tone in her voice.
"I can already tell what you're thinking. 'That's not normal' or 'Someone protected them', ain't I right?" Beatrice suddenly said appearing above Yasmine in the air. She flapped her wings and looked at the phoenix halfling with a cheeky smile when she stuck out her tongue.
Yasmine's right eye twitched but she forced herself to be the more mature woman. Age didn't determine the maturity of one's mind and Beatrice was definitely not the most mature woman Yasmine had seen. She was more like a childish friend from her early schooldays in the Anadra kingdom.
'But why is she right?!' Yasmine cursed inwardly nonetheless, staring daggers at Beatrice because she was actually questioning why the Nasgas had not died.
"They fell from a few thousand meters and are unscathed…all of them? How does that make sense?" Yasmine mumbled, despite knowing that Beatrice was laughing her ass off.
Kyle smiled when he saw the bickering woman but he could also feel with Yasmine. It was weird that the Nasgas survived and it was probably the doing of the same woman, who purified all vile existences.
'So she basically killed the vile existences by purifying them but saves the Nasgas from falling to death? Okay…' Kyle didn't think too much about her reasoning to do anything.
Their pursuer must have a reason for anything she was doing and it was just that he couldn't understand it. But that was also what Kyle was actually worried about.
Nonetheless, he couldn't change his ignorance, and something one could only say being oblivious was a blessing.
Thus, Kyle kept it at that without minding it anymore.
"Let's just go to the forbidden forest…" He mumbled, hoping that they wouldn't have anymore unfortunate encounters.
And as if someone listened to his prayers, they didn't encounter any trouble in the following two months. The tribal territory of the Nasga race was ginormous but they were able to travel through it without anymore problems.
On the first few days after the incident with the purification of the vile existence, they encountered millions of Nasgas in armors, wearing powerful weapons. They were storming in the direction of the Glacia kingdom, attacking it with their huge numbers.
This was quite frightening and everyone felt bad for the Glacia kingdom because they weren't sure if the kingdom of the Aldra race would overcome such a threat. However, on the other hand, Kyle and his people didn't encounter anymore vile existences in the air.
It looked like the Nasga race had only one unit of these existences under their control and all of them had died at the hand of the purification spell.
After the millions of Nasga passed by the flying group that belonged to Kyle, they didn't encounter many more Nasgas. Nial's nurture sight saw many tribes but they were mostly underground and not bothering about the surface.
This made things much easier for their group because they could rest wherever they wanted. Nobody bothered them, which was a rare sight.
They enjoyed the two months they were flying around, fought a few monsters, and even trained their movement technique Wings of Ilusia to a higher proficiency.
What they had presumed to become an arduous trip through the most dangerous regions of the Nasga race's tribal territory became an enjoyable vacation-like trip.
It was funny and they became much stronger, especially Arashi, who created a total of nine Soul crystals within two months, officially and unofficially reaching the Peak of the Krysal stage.
The Spirit Soul's strength was much higher than the combined force of everyone together. At first, the three women didn't want to acknowledge this but after Arashi fought against them, reality hit them hard.
Arashi's wind affinity was not only exceptionally powerful, to the extent that it overpowered the power Yasmine was able to control of her phoenix fire but he was also able to control it at a terrifying high degree.
The three tails of the three-tailed wind fox were not just for show and it was almost as if there were three tiny brains in the tails. They could move independently and control everything around them.
New forms of attacks were created by learning how to precisely control the three tails, attacks that were never possible before.
Kyle was just as shocked as everyone else when they saw the strength of the three-tailed fox. It was no wonder that legend spoke about beasts such as the three-tailed fox as legendary existences. They were able to fight beasts of a higher rank!
However, Arashi was not a normal three-tailed fox. He was a three-tailed fox, who pursued the path of the Soul. He cultivated his soul with soul force, a product created out of all three major cultivation energies.
His strength was already much higher than anyone else's whether he was a legendary beast or not!
Yasmine and the other women had to acknowledge Arashi's strength. But that was not everything that bothered them. A defeat against Arashi was still acceptable. However, not the fact that Kyle's strength increased at a ridiculously high speed at that.
He had quickly mastered the newly advanced wind affinity, which allowed him to release the same attacks as Arashi if one excluded the special attacks used with the support of the Spirit Soul's three tails.
The only downside for Kyle was the fact that he required more soul force to attack his opponents, meaning that his low cultivation base prevented him from going all out for a long period.
Fortunately, that was not necessary as long as he could defeat his opponents with a single attack.
Thus, after two long months, they finally ended up in front of the forbidden forest.
And that forest was definitely not something they could take lightly.
After all, they were already surrounded by corpses of Acerta stage Cultivators the moment they saw the outskirts of the forbidden forest.
"The corpses were intentionally placed there, wasn't it?" Selene asked doubting her eyes.
"Yep, that's for sure!"
