(Note:- there will many time skips coming soon, so don't expect me to linger too much on one point. They are all just there to build what will be coming next, a stepping stone in a sense. Academy arc will mostly be flashbacks.)

Four weeks later:-

Diary,

It has been four weeks since I arrived at this place, and it feels like time has flown by. Throughout these weeks, we have attended various classes, learning a great deal along the way. I still can't quite grasp why I started writing this diary, but perhaps it serves as a way to reflect on my experiences.

Today marks the graduation ceremony, a significant milestone for all of us. While the usual graduation would have been a simple affair, this time it's different. Five from our class have received direct invitations from regional families, of course not for me. I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness seeing everyone else being recognized in such a way, even that asshole Robbie.

In another turn of events, Elsie has made the bold decision to reject the invitation from the regional family. Still, she is a force to be reckoned with and has been assigned to lead a group of 50 individual's section in the army. As for me, I will serve as an assistant to a senior officer, knowing that I have much to learn from them.

On a brighter note, I must admit that I have developed strong feelings for Charlotte. She has been incredibly kind and understanding, and we share a great chemistry. However, I'm hesitant to act upon these emotions, fearing it might complicate our friendship. I don't want to risk losing such a valuable relation.

In addition to Charlotte, there is someone else I have grown close to during these past weeks - Ayaan. He has been helping me with my practice sessions, dedicating his time to assist me. Ayaan is a genuinely cool person to be around, and I appreciate his support and guidance.

On the other hand, Ignatius still maintains his haughty and arrogant demeanor. I can't quite comprehend why he was offered such a significant opportunity. Perhaps it has something to do with his confrontation with Devon, during which he was soundly defeated.

It was an eye-opening experience for me, as I used to perceive Devon as relatively weak based on his interactions with us. However, seeing him effortlessly overpower Ignatius with a mere punch made me realize his true strength. Devon remains a good-hearted individual.

Until next time,

Zack.

With my diary closed, I stood up, ready to attend the graduation ceremony. I had already prepared myself for the occasion. Stepping out into the common room, I was pleasantly surprised to find everyone waiting for me. I greeted each person, including Ignatius, as I made my way towards Charlotte.

"Shall we go, Miss Genius?" I asked playfully, extending my hand towards her.

Her face lit up with a smile as she took hold of my hand, interlocking her other hand with mine. "Yes, let's go," she replied, radiating excitement.

In an instant, everyone teleported away as Charlotte finished her sentence. We were on our way to the ceremony

The classroom:-

Despite my earlier mention of it being a significant event, the graduation ceremony was held in our usual classroom, albeit with a more festive atmosphere. We took our seats, and I couldn't help but notice the envious glances from our classmates. It was particularly noticeable as I sat there with Charlotte, her hand interlocked with mine.

Charlotte, the girl who not only possessed incredible power but also had received invitations from all six regional families, was the epitome of achievement in our class. Her presence by my side only amplified the attention and envy directed our way. I couldn't help but feel a mixture of pride and gratitude to have such a remarkable person as my friend for this special occasion.

As the ceremony commenced, it was evident that our presence had played a significant role in its grandeur. Taking center stage were Devon, Professor Reed, our history professor Narcissus Archibald, and the principal of our academy, Admiral Victorius Steele. The admiral, who presided over the 7th region where our academy was located, would also be Charlotte's superior in her future endeavours.

Admiral Steele, renowned for his strict demeanor, held the 19th rank among the most powerful individuals in the entire eastern empire. His commanding presence filled the room, radiating authority and discipline. Standing tall and upright, he possessed a strong and imposing physique befitting a military leader. His square jawline emphasized his determined expression, often displaying a firm and resolute gaze. His deep-set eyes, piercing blue in colour, conveyed an unwavering intensity and strategic mindset.

The admiral's salt-and-pepper hair, meticulously groomed, hinted at his wisdom and experience, with streaks of grey adding a touch of distinction. His carefully maintained mustache and trimmed beard further enhanced his aura of gravitas.

A prominent scar etched across his left cheek served as a visual testament to battles fought and sacrifices made. It symbolized his unwavering dedication to his mission and the lengths he would go to achieve victory.

Clad in a flawlessly tailored navy-blue uniform adorned with golden insignia and medals, Admiral Steele epitomized military professionalism. The intricate detailing on his uniform reflected the ranks and achievements he had earned throughout his illustrious career, attesting to his commitment to excellence and service.

The admiral took to the main stage and delivered a brief but impactful speech, primarily directed towards those of us who would be joining the army. He acknowledged our group of six individuals, recognizing our exceptional abilities. However, he didn't dwell too much on us and swiftly concluded his address. Following his departure, Devon congratulated all of us on successfully graduating and instructed everyone to leave the venue. Yet, he specifically requested the six of us to remain behind.

As the crowd dispersed, we gathered together while the admiral made his exit, leaving us to discuss our next steps. The atmosphere was a mix of excitement and anticipation. However, we were reminded that the privileges bestowed upon us came with added responsibilities and increased risks. The better treatment we received meant our duties would be more demanding, and our chances of encountering danger would be higher.

Elsie was given instructions to meet her section at the fourth gate, while Charlotte, Ayaan, Ignatius, and Robbie were to convene with their superior in the arena within the next 15 minutes. As for me, I was informed that my senior officer awaited me in his tent, and I was granted access to use teleportation to reach him directly.

I couldn't help but question Devon regarding the possibility of using teleportation outside the academy, as he had previously taught us that it was prohibited by the rules. The explanation seemed counterintuitive to what we had learned.

"It's a one-time exception," Devon clarified. "Due to certain circumstances, your senior officer has been involved in a conflict that could potentially delay his arrival by more than three weeks. To ensure you don't miss out on valuable experience, he has authorized the use of teleportation in this instance. However, please understand that this is an exception and not the norm. Take care, and farewell. We may cross paths again if circumstances allow." With those parting words, Devon bid us farewell and departed alongside the other teachers.

"Goodbye, guys. My section is probably waiting for me to take charge. Zack, try to stay alive until we see you again," Elsie said before teleporting away to the fourth gate within the academy.

Curiosity got the better of me, and I couldn't resist asking Elsie why she specifically singled me out to stay alive. However, she simply rolled her eyes in response and disappeared, leaving the academy grounds.

As each of our friends bid their farewells and disappeared through teleportation, it felt like time stood still, leaving only Charlotte and me in that empty classroom. The warmth of her hand interlocked with mine and the gentle weight of her head resting on my shoulder created an intimate connection, stirring emotions within me that were difficult to contain.

In that fleeting moment, I couldn't help but be captivated by Charlotte's presence. Her radiant smile and the way her eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief made my heart race. It was as if the universe conspired to bring us together in that very moment, tempting me to reveal the depths of my feelings for her.

Reluctantly, Charlotte released her hand from mine, breaking the physical connection between us. Her voice, filled with a bittersweet tone, reached my ears as she uttered her farewell. "It seems I have to go as well, Zack. Goodbye for now. Remember, you're always welcome to visit me whenever you can find a moment amidst your duties."

Her words echoed in my mind, leaving an indelible impression. But just as she was about to disappear into the realms of teleportation, something unexpected happened. Charlotte reappeared, catching me off guard. My heart skipped a beat as she leaned in, gently pressing her soft lips against my cheek, leaving a lingering warmth in their wake.

A rush of emotions surged through me, a mixture of excitement, anticipation, and a newfound sense of possibility. Her whisper, barely audible yet brimming with promise, reached my ears. "We can continue where we left off next time we meet. Until then, stay safe."

As quickly as she had returned, Charlotte vanished once again, leaving me in a state of stunned wonderment. I stood there, frozen in the moment, replaying the gentle touch of her lips on my cheek, unable to contain the budding feelings within me.

With determination and a newfound resolve, I mustered the courage to teleport myself, knowing that an exhilarating new chapter awaited me in the army. However, the memory of Charlotte's tender kiss lingered, lighting a fire within me, fuelling my determination to not only stay safe but to find a way to reunite with her soon.
