49 The Mission And Danger - Chapter 49

Name:Starsign Lord Author:
Day Later -

Fraus after one day of travel including resting and eating, come to entrance of the White Rose Village,

White Rose Village is small place compared to city but a big place compared to village he has been living through. The walls are made up stone and wood combined and there are more than twenty white-clothed and spear-armed guards on the entrance of the town. There are only ten to fifteen people with some horses. Other than small traders there are not many people who travels to White Rose.

Fraus come to entrance of the White Rose Village and guards stopped him. The guard who had stopped Fraus is a young man with a honorable look on his face. Every point of his face expression shows that he thinks himself some sort of a big shot because of his duty.

Fraus smiled at the guard and then the guard started talking.

"What is your purpose of coming here."

Fraus answered.

"I am here for the mission. White Rose Village management most likely know about me."

The guard sized up Fraus and then looked behind his back. Another guard who was a middle-aged man, come to side of the guard and then started talking.

"I heard what you said, come on inside"

Fraus smiled again and thought.

"It is good that I do not have to deal with a egoistical nature of a young tennager who thinks he is important because he managed to become a guard."

With these thought in hi s mind, Fraus entered the White Rose Village with the middle-aged guard, as they were walking, Middle-Aged Guard asked.

"You look young, that is the reason why Guard you have spoke taken a back and was not expecting a Starsign User around his age."

Fraus nodded and added.

"It is only to be expected that he thinks like that, I am already accustomed seeing people like them, Frog in the wells without any experience."

Middle-Aged guard did not like what Fraus said about his people and his guards but he did not voiced out his thoughts. "I seen many Starsign Users like you, with some flashy abilities you people think that you guys are immortal, will se after you take the mission."

With these thoughts in the mind of Middle-Aged Guard, he led Fraus to main building of the village, The village itself not big anyway, the distance between the entrance and the main building is not far away.

As Fraus were walking on the road towards to the Main Building of the village, he did not missed out the environment of village.

The people were happy and doing their daily tasks and there are many Inns that stationed like Caffe Shops, that have tables and chairs outside of their shops, young people drinking and having fun while talking with each other.

The design of buildings are good but heavily made up from wood as it can be only expected, the stone can not be used for all the buildings in the village.

Fraus was about to enter the Main Building but three people left the building at the same time stopping his entrance.

These three people looked different than others.

One of them was a old woman, she was in the middle and her age easily around 70 to 80 years old.

Other two were her bodyguards most likely, as they were strong looking even if they have no Starsign Energy, The old woman looked at Fraus and then smiled as she get closer to Fraus.

After getting enoughly close to Fraus she started talking.

"I believe you are the one Starsign Guild have sent for the mission we have appointed."

Fraus nodded and started talking.

"If there is nothing important, I may like to start the mission by entering the forest."

The old woman nodded and then answered.

"By meeting with me you are classified as accepted the mission. Which means you can go and finish your mission".

Fraus did not speak any longer and nodded. He turned back and started going towards the location of the mission that is marked on his map. The location is clear and where he needs to go is easy to find. Without too much later, he entered the forest.

The forest was humble, murky, and verdant. Its canopy was contested by rowan, holly, and cypress; sufficient twinkling lights burst through their crowns for bright ferns to grow in the stony grounds below.

Silent vines dangled from many a tree, and a hodgepodge of flowers, which were scattered sporadically, added more life to the otherwise monotonous scenery. A disharmony of wild sounds, most of which belonged to birds, filled the air and was in harmony with the sounds of a fight over dominance between larger animals.

Fraus inspected the forest as he walked. It is very different than the Border Mountain Forest. As compared to the Border Mountain Forest, this forest is more untouched and filled with many kinds of wild animals.

For just ten minutes of walking, Fraus saw many wild animals, including herbivores and carnivores. He did not see any monsters for the time being. As he kept walking, he did not forget to look for the map.

"In thirty minutes, I will reach the location of the Bone Army."

Fraus kept walking without minding the wild animals around him. as long as he did not attack. He will not kill these wild animals, as it is just a waste of time in his eyes. Twenty minutes later, he saw a creature that came from his nightmares and fiction books.

It was a skeleton with a bone sword made up from some parts of a human-like creature. It moved fast enough and made cracking sounds as it moved.

"Skeleton Swordsman"

"White Level Creature"

Fraus did not hesitate and summoned one Gemini clone and ordered

"Kill it."

With the order of Fraus, Gemini Clone brandished its word and started running towards the Skeleton Swordsman. The movement of Gemini Clone took the attention of the skeleton and it turned its head and got ready for fight. But it was no use.

"Swoosh"

The Skeleton Swordsman swings his sword to approach the Gemini Clone. The Gemini clones, who were much stronger, faster, and had more mastery over swords, easily evaded and with a simple slash towards the skull of the creature, it cracked down on the head of it and killed it.

As Skeleton Swordsman died, it dropped a white-colored soul stone. These stones are worth one silver each.

"If I kill enough magical creatures and find enough stones, the value I would be gathering would be much more than the mission itself pays."

Fraus smiled at his thoughts and kept moving after clearing out one of the skeletons.

As Fraus kept moving, he encountered four more Skeleton Swordsmen on the way to the direct mission location, and Gemini Clones took out them with ease. None of them dropped any stones, as Fraus was not that lucky man in the first place.

Fraus passed a thick tree and used his hands to open green bushes. What he saw made him shocked.

It is weird and different. More than 200 skeleton-type creatures are stationed around a symbolic statue looking like a robed skeleton stone statue.

He was thinking about Fraus.

"I understand that skeletons are strong creatures, but two hundred of them, including Skeleton Swordsman, Skeleton Archers, Bone Dogs, and Bone Bugs, is not something one Starsign User at the level of Candle can handle."

Fraus believed even weaker Torch-Level Starsign users would have a problem fighting against these beings.

"Only to take out these creatures for ordinary people with no similar ability to mine is using techniques and different kinds of tactics. A full-frontal battle would be impossible."
