Chapter 195: I will be waiting

After all that drama with the Emperor and his mother, Seth finally got some alone time with Celine in the same garden where he left her last time.

Sitting on the resting bench with his fianceé by his side, Seth was able to finally take a deep breath of comfort.

The situation inside went utterly chaotic with his and Celine's mother gushing about the relationship between their children while the Emperor seemed vexed enough to release a punishment of banishment for Seth.

Naturally, in front of his daughter's protest, he didn't do anything before Celine finally took his hand and led Seth to this place—where there was no one to disturb them.

"So you found the old man, then rescued that girl named Laila, and afterward met someone who introduced themself as a Messenger of God. Hmm, no wonder I wasn't able to keep an eye on you once your battle against that hoodlum ended."

This 'hoodlum' here was signifying Saito. Celine couldn't get exact visuals of what was happening there however, she could tell that Seth was badly injured in the battle.

Although outwardly she didn't show any reaction, Seth could feel the resentment she holds toward Saito for harming him.

"It's just as you heard. Now, after ten days, I am unsure where I would end, so..."

"You chose to meet everyone dear to you before that Messenger pulls you and the other five back, huh?" There was a very thin smile elevating her lips, but more than amusement, there was relief on her face.

Although Seth and Celine were engaged, she has spent very little time with him, to be considered important to him. She has always thought, that it was her being in this relationship. And truth be told, Celine was content being labeled as his one-sided admirer all her life, until she could see him and be considered as his responsibility. At least because of a sense of duty, Seth would come to meet her from time to time.

"That's why I am here to see someone dear to me."

"Ah..." Celine was startled as she found her hand being held by him.

Seth was aware of the fact that since their relationship formed abruptly, she must have her insecurities. Although Celine doesn't voice it out, Seth knows that she often feels anxious to be abandoned.

Maybe he unconsciously read her mind or he has begun liking her enough to know her feelings without her telling him.

"I always wonder about something..." Hearing Celine's words, Seth raised his brows before she continued, "...why is the reason, I never saw you getting creeped out by these eyes of mine."

Celine has always been dreaded because of her peculiar horrifying and never-blinking eyes. The shiny orbs could see everything and anything—a fact worth being wary of.

The cover which was shrouding her, fell to her thighs, revealing her naked form in full glory. Her blond hair cascaded down her shoulder and her healthy skin was tainted with the love bites Seth proffered on her last night.

Before Seth could have enjoyed the view to his heart's content, Celine dropped herself on his chest and wrapped her hand around his stomach.

"Someone wants to be spoiled, I guess..."

Celine didn't reply to him but just snuggled closer.

Although Seth didn't want to say it aloud, he knew the reason for the gloomy clouds over her head.

Caressing her hair softly, Seth asked, "You don't want me to leave?"

Celine instantly shook her head.

"Do you want me to stay here with you?"

She nodded. Twice, thrice, and many times. She wasn't desiring him to stay, she was desperate for him.

Seth's heart ached at that. He was conflicted about what to do here. He didn't want to make her sad but staying here was not an option either.

Celine seemed to have sensed his conflicted thoughts, as she looked at him with warmth overflowing from her eyes, as she uttered,

"If I can, I would cage you for a lifetime...but, your sincerity for a better future is one of the many aspects I so much love about you."

Planting a soft kiss on his lips, she concluded, "Don't worry about me, and do what you find necessary. I will always be waiting for your return."
