Chapter 29 Marmite
Near noon, Hogwarts Castle, which had been silent all night, revived with new vitality.
Albert occasionally encountered other students in the corridors or hallways. It can only be said that staying in bed is the nature of most people, especially on weekends, when there is no need to get up early, most people prefer to sleep for a while.
It was still raining lightly outside the castle, most of the students would stay in the auditorium chatting, and a very few unlucky ones who didn't finish their homework in time were busy copying their summer homework.
On the way to explore the castle, the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan couldn't hold on, and took the lead to run away.
However, Albert still spent the whole morning visiting the huge castle and taking many interesting photos with his camera. After shopping around, when he returned to the auditorium, he felt a dull pain in his calf.
The harvest of this trip was quite good. Albert drew a rough map of the castle by virtue of his own memory.
Although I heard from others that every Friday, the positions of some stairs in Hogwarts Castle will change, but that is next Friday, and Albert doesn't take it to heart, and it will naturally be resolved by then method.
It is worth mentioning that the progress of the quest to explore Hogwarts Castle has reached 26.7%.
"Why are you alone, where are your friends?" Angelina and another girl walked this way, sat on the chair opposite Albert, and greeted Albert.
"When I was visiting the castle, I slipped away halfway." Albert picked up a piece of bread from the plate, and he was about to make a sandwich for himself. "Those three guys probably found something interesting. Pass me the blueberry jam, thank you."
"How is your castle map, can you lend me a look?" Angelina pushed the bottle of blueberry jam over on her right, and pointed to the parchment on Albert's left.
"I still think that I should go around the castle by myself. This is one of the joys of new life." Albert handed the parchment to the girl opposite, and picked up the bottle of blueberry jam.
"What's that?" Aliya leaned her head over, staring at this simple sketch, frowning slightly. It was a bit difficult for her to see, but she could also see some signs of secret passages and classrooms, where the stairs needed to be crossed.
"By the way, this is our schedule." Albert copied two more schedules and handed them to the two opposite.
"What kind of magic is that?" Angelina asked curiously.
"The copying spell can turn one item into two." Aliya, who was born in a wizard family, recognized the spell used by Albert at a glance.
Not all wizarding families adopt a stocking policy like Weasley. Alicia has received a good wizarding education since she was a child, and her starting point is higher than most students.
"Very useful little trick, isn't it?" Albert blinked at the two of them, and continued, "With it, you don't need to take notes, just ask someone to "borrow" a copy."
Alia looked at Albert with weird eyes, and always felt that this guy's thinking logic was different from others.
"Can you get me a copy? Then I don't have to worry about not being able to find the classroom location."
"Aren't you worried that the map is drawn wrong?" Albert asked back.
"Of course I will check it myself." Aliya said naturally.
"Do you want it?" Albert looked at Angelina.
"Thank you." Angelina said with a smile.
Hogwarts Castle is indeed not small, and freshmen can easily get lost. With Albert's map, at least they know where they should go.
Being late on the first day of school is not a good sign.
"By the way, I remember that you seem to be from a Muggle family." Alicia put away the map and asked, "How can you master so many spells? I dare say that most of the new students don't understand spells like you many."
"Before school started, I learned it while practicing spells. Most of the spells are quite simple." Albert spread blueberry sauce on a slice of bread and took a big bite. Although the taste is not bad, eating these things all day is too much. I can't stand it.
"Easy?" The two looked at each other, suddenly feeling an inexplicable pressure.
After getting their own wand, most of the freshmen will try to use the magic in the book. Angelina and Aliya are no exception. They all learned some simple magic, but they are by no means as easy as what Albert said, as if learning magic is as easy as eating a piece of bread.
After destroying the slice of bread with blueberry sauce, Albert made himself a sandwich.
British lunches are always unsatisfactory, and Hogwarts is no exception. Bread and potatoes are always the staple food here.
This lunch has bread slices, boiled potatoes, fresh vegetable salad, and salty ham. Of course, a large pot of milk tea or pumpkin juice is also indispensable.
After finishing the ham sandwich, Albert put two potatoes with skins on his plate. After wandering around the castle all morning, his stomach was already hungry.
In other words, during meal time, the three of them were nowhere to be seen, and they didn't know where they went to fool around.
"I really miss rice and pasta." Albert muttered in a low voice, and continued to bury the potatoes with skin on the plate.
Potatoes are one of the staple foods of the British. He has eaten them almost every day these years. People in this country can even use potatoes to make a hundred dishes without repetition.
Although potatoes are not unpalatable, it is a bit unbearable to eat them all at once.
"The pasta is delicious." Angelina echoed, "I have eaten it several times, and the taste is very nostalgic."
"British food is always disappointing, and the variety is too good. The chefs here never seriously study how to cook." Albert poured himself a cup of milk tea, took a sip, and complained, "I remember A while back I had a plate of whole fish baked on a sea-salted herb crust."
The two looked at each other, listening with great interest to Albert complaining about all kinds of exotic foods in Britain, such as the French fries sandwiches his father liked, and the marmite that only his grandmother liked in the family...
Albert still remembers tasting Marmite for the first time, it was... the taste of hell, that taste is really unforgettable for a lifetime.
If you insist on describing it, it should be a strong soy sauce smell mixed with various body odors.
Since then, Albert has kept Marmite at a respectful distance.
"If any of you are interested, I'll send her a bottle for Christmas at Christmas."
"Ahem." Aliya suddenly lost her appetite, "No, thank you, I still want to eat some normal food, so as not to feel nauseous when I see jam in the future."
After drinking milk tea, lunch is over.
Albert sat at the dining table and looked at the photos he had taken earlier, including knight armor, the scenery of the castle, a certain portrait, or a certain exaggerated sculpture... These photos reveal a corner of Hogwarts.
It's just that, seeing Albert selecting photos, Angelina actually wanted to complain, you are not a student who came to school at all, but more like a tourist who came to visit Hogwarts Castle.
