Chapter 24: Passionate house elf

Chapter 24 The Enthusiastic House Elf

Near the entrance hall on the first floor of the castle, there is a door that leads to the Hufflepuff common room and kitchen.

Albert took a moment to wander around the foyer and found two doors and Filch's office next to the marble staircase. Filch's cat was staring at him.

 “What’s its name?” Albert asked.

Filch didn't answer, but picked up his cat and entered the office.

“It must be jealousy!” Albert murmured. If he remembered correctly, Filch was a squib. He believed that since the other party was a squib, he should abandon the magical world and integrate into the Muggle world. Why stay and seek trouble and unhappiness.

Okay, now that the annoying guy is gone, which door should we choose?

“Where will the kitchen be?” Albert took out a coin from his pocket and threw it on the ground. It was heads, so he chose to walk to the left of the stairs.

Behind the door was the next stone staircase, which was a wide stone corridor. As Albert walked through, the torches on the wall automatically lit up, illuminating the surrounding environment. Albert found that the surrounding walls were decorated with pictures of various foods. .

“Good luck.” Albert found a large painting of a huge silver bowl filled with fruit, behind which the kitchen was said to be hidden.

The secret to entering the kitchen is on the pear.

Albert touched the big green pear lightly. The pear actually squirmed, chuckled, and suddenly turned into a big green doorknob.

“As expected, I’m here, it seems I’m pretty lucky.” Albert was in a happy mood. After finding the Room of Requirement, he successfully found the kitchen.

He reached out and grabbed the door and pulled it. The kitchen area was as big as the auditorium above. There were many tableware on the surrounding cabinets. There were also four long wooden tables in the auditorium. These tables were placed in the same position as the four colleges in the auditorium above. The tables are exactly the same.

There is already some food on the table, which should be breakfast for the students. When it is time to eat, the house elves will use magic to transfer the food to the corresponding table above.

“Sir, is something wrong?” An elf found Albert and trotted towards him.

"The restaurant hasn't opened yet, so I came to the kitchen to have a look." Albert smiled politely at them.

"Please follow me, sir." The house elf grabbed Albert's hand and pulled him to sit at the table. Six house elves hurried up, carrying a large silver tray. On top was a jug of milk, ham, fried eggs, toast, salad, and pumpkin porridge.

"Thank you, little guy." Albert poured himself half a glass of milk. Although he didn't have the habit of drinking milk in his previous life, he had developed this habit over the years. Thanks to this, he became much stronger than in his previous life.

"This is our honor sir." Probably someone said thank you to him, and the house elves all smiled and bowed to him.

Albert ate a portion of ham, an omelette, and two slices of toast, and drank a small bowl of pumpkin porridge. His stomach was filled with food all of a sudden.

As he was finishing off the last of the fruit salad, he looked at the house elves, all of them wearing, or rather wearing, a tea towel emblazoned with the Hogwarts crest.

“I think I should go, thank you for the breakfast.” Albert noticed that the exploration progress had reached 7.3%.

"This is what we should do, sir," said the house elf in a high-pitched voice. Before Albert left, many elves gathered around him and handed him many snacks for Albert to take back and eat.

“That’s enough, goodbye little guys.” Albert put four pies into a brown paper bag and stuffed them into his robe, which were prepared for George and the other three.

The house elves all crowded to the door and watched Albert leave. They liked that thank you, which made the house elves feel Albert's respect and affirmation for them.

Following the path he took yesterday, Albert spent a few minutes returning to the lounge.

However, there was still no one inside, and the ghost lady had also left.

When Albert returned to the room, the twins were still sleeping, and Li Jordan had already woken up. He looked at Albert who appeared outside the door in surprise, and couldn't help but ask: "Where are you going?

“Take a walk and have breakfast by the way!” Albert grinned, “Did I bring you a gift?”

"What gift?" Weasley on the right got up from the bed and scratched his head with his right hand, as if he hadn't woken up yet.

“I thought you were sleeping.” Li Qiaodan got off the bed, stretched out lazily and asked, “What gift?”

"Pie." Albert took out the brown paper bag from his pocket, took out a pie and took a bite. He handed the paper bag to Lee Jordan and said, "One for each person."

“Where did you do that?” Fred asked curiously.

"kitchen."

“Wow, you actually found the kitchen.”

"Speaking of which, you sneaked out on your own and didn't ask us to come with you." Fred also woke up. If it weren't for the bed, Albert wouldn't be able to tell who the twins were.

 “Without brushing your teeth first.”

“Oh, I almost forgot about it.” George put down the pie in his hand and asked curiously, “How did you find the kitchen?”

"Walking around randomly, I just happened to find it." Albert continued to talk about his encounter with Filch, "His cat is very smart and will notify his owner. However, I think Filch is probably You’re here to trouble me.”

“I dare say, he must be feeling aggrieved!” Fred couldn’t help but laugh as well. He got up and got ready to go out for a walk. Hogwarts Castle was really interesting.

The three of them got dressed, washed up and came to the Gryffindor lounge. There was no one here yet. Albert lit the fire and sat on the sofa next to him. The rain outside had stopped.

“Bill and Charlie said there are many secret passages in the castle.” Fred said to the others while eating pie.

"But they didn't tell us where the secret passage was." George complained a little bit about his brothers.

“Perhaps, they want you to explore the secrets of the castle on your own, that would be interesting.” Albert remembered Nick’s words and casually comforted the two of them.

“I think so,” Lee Jordan agreed.

“By the way, I almost forgot about it.” Albert walked to the entrance and took a few photos while there was no one in the lounge. He also took a photo of the Fat Lady.

 “Are you taking pictures again?”

"I'm going to send a letter home. For Muggles, everything in the magical world is very strange." Albert checked the photos. He had previously discovered that he had another skill related to photography.

"I heard from Charlie that Filch likes to cause trouble for students. He wants to hang up the students who make mistakes all day long and whip them with a whip." After George finished eating the pie, he continued, "Filch also knows many secrets of the school. Tao will always appear quietly."

"Most students who go out at night will be caught by Filch," Fred added, "and then severely deducted points and put in solitary confinement."
