Chapter 10 - This is Not Going to Happen

Feng Xinying was wearing a pale yellow silk dress with matching wedges. Her thick, long hair was cascading behind her. Some of the strands had come on her face and she didn't bother to remove them. Her petite face was held over a long, slender neck, which was so beautiful and flawless that men were having a hard time not looking at it. Her phoenix shaped eyes fluttered as she looked around nervously at the staff who were looking at the person whom the CEO had personally called to the office. She looked aristocratic. While the men were going gaga over her, the secretaries were very jealous. They had worked for so long in the office but the CEO never looked at them. He had been extremely cold with all of them.

Xie Yuansheng looked at Feng Xinying and then turned to walk towards the elevator. His assistants and a few more secretaries followed him. All of them went up to the twentieth floor where his office was located.

He had a large number of secretaries that helped him in his daily office work. That floor was abuzz with a lot of activity. Feng Xinying looked at the place around her and thought that it all belonged to her. But she knew that she had to tactfully deal with this matter with Xie Yuansheng to get hold of her company.

The only thing that wasn't adding was how did he know that she would be coming to the office. She shrugged the thought and thought how does it matter, at least that stupid receptionist was taught her lesson.

Xie Yuansheng led her to his office and two more secretaries followed them. He sat in the same office as her father did and on the same chair. Feng Xinying's teeth clenched as her face darkened.

He pointed to the plush sofa that was kept in a corner of the room over carpeted area and asked her to sit. The sofa was covered in beautiful Italian upholstery with huge red flowers and green leaves on a crème base. She remembered that there was a mundane looking sofa over there, which the new CEO had changed tastefully.

She sat down over there while he asked his head secretary Yun Che to get coffee and snacks for the visitor. Yun Che shot a glance at Feng Xinying and left with a pursed smile.

"Mother called me that you would be coming to the office," said Xie Yuansheng politely.

She nodded while wondering how would his mother know that I would be coming here. Perhaps butler Lu Boyun had informed her.

"I don't want to wrap my words in honey and tell you but I will be straight in this. I haven't come here to make friends with you. Rather I would like you to leave the position of CEO as it rightly belongs to me. I am the legal heir of my father and this company is mine. So you should resign from the position of CEO of this company," said Feng Xinying in one breath. She didn't know how to mollycoddle. She had thought that she would be very polite and tactful in talking to him to leave the company but the moment she saw his face all that was tossed out of the window.

Xie Yuansheng narrowed his eyes and smirked at her.

Yun Che had by then opened the door of the office and brought the coffee and biscuits for them. Both of them fell silent when she arrived and waited for her to go. She placed the coffee on the table and stood beside him, much too close to be comfortable. She asked in a very sexy tone, "CEO would you like anything else?"

Xie Yuansheng gave her a cold stare and she straightened. "You can leave," he said curtly.

Yun Che left again giving a jealous glance to Feng Xinying.

Xie Yuansheng turned his attention to Feng Xinying and said, "I am sorry but this is not what the inheritance papers say. I will continue to run the company since I feel I am very capable of doing so. I have been successfully helping your father ever since I graduated from the engineering college."

Feng Xinying felt wronged. She said, "Xie Yuansheng, even I have the capability to run the company and in my opinion the company will be in better hands if it comes to me."

Xie Yuansheng laughed. The little cat had indeed become a tigress. She was like that in the high school too, straight but immature. He knew how to tame her.

He picked his coffee and said, "This is not going to happen."
