Chapter 113 - Wait, Don’t Go!

When Xie Yuansheng didn't hear from her, he repeated his question, "Xinying? Where are you?"

"Xie Yuansheng! Yes I am right here'" she replied as she entered the cafeteria.

Xie Yuansheng took a breath of relief and then said, "Xinying, why don't you come here? Take tonight's flight and I will arrange for everything."

Feng Xinying laughed. "Not a bad idea Yuansheng but you are already coming tomorrow, so let's just postpone this trip. Let us go after we announce our relationship to the world."

Xie Yuansheng smiled. She was accepting him beautifully in this life. She had taken her time but things were going nicely – too nicely. A grin spread on his face.

"When are we going to tell that? Can we do that as soon as I am back?" he asked.

"Haha. No! I need more time…" she replied. "I have to test you as a lover."

"What?" came an angry voice.

Feng Xinying broke into a loud laughter. Everybody in the cafeteria started looking at her and she had to suppress herself.

"I have excelled as your husband. I need to test you as a lover Yingying!" he retaliated.

"Fine, then tell me the number of blondes you will see in Paris today," she said.

"How will that judge my character?" he asked.

"You just count the number of blondes and tell me, okay? I will let you know the reasoning behind it," she goaded him.

"Okay…" he replied meekly.

Feng Xinying narrowed her eyes and then said, "I have to go now. Talk to you later. Call me when you are free, okay?"

" Wait, Don't go ," he whined.

Feng Xinying disconnected the call with a chuckle. She eagerly awaited the count he would give her for the blondes. She finished her lunch and went to her cubicle. There was a lot to catch since she had practically not been there in the second half of the office. While she was working on her computer, she thought of going to the website of Wu Bosun and read about his biography. She was keen to know about his family specially his sister Ru Shishi. She browsed through it all but couldn't find a word about her. There was something that wasn't adding up. The feeling was strange.

Feng Xinying closed the website and then smacked her head. Today she had been thinking that everything was weird.

To divert her attention Feng Xinying called Xie Shengjun to know when would Keira reach.

"She has already reached Feng Xinying. I made reservation in a hopping flight with two stops – one at Qatar and the other in Berlin. When she reached Berlin, I made her switch the flight again," replied Xie Shengjun.

"Why? That must have been very tiring!"

"Yes, but I was afraid that someone might follow her. I couldn't take any chances. Now she is in America at her house. She called me and said that she had reached safely. I have made arrangements for her father in a better hospital and he is in good hands now."

"Xie Shengjun, thanks a lot. But I don't think she will come back…" said Feng Xinying feeling sad.

"If she won't come, I will go there. Perhaps I will shift my base there…" replied Xie Shengjun in a very sad tone.

Feng Xinying couldn't help smiling at him. "Okay, that works too," she said and laughed.

She concentrated on her work. It was 4PM when she received a call from one of the employees from the finance department.

"Miss Xinying, we need a few signatures from the CEO in documents related to renovation of our building. When can we get them?"

"He will be back by tomorrow evening. You can take the signatures the day after," she replied.

"Okay Miss Xinying, we are sending you the file. Please get the signatures on an urgent basis."

"Sure."

Fifteen minutes later the file arrived and Feng Xinying kept in in her drawer without even reading it. The file contained a plan to renovate the tenth floor.

She received the call she had been waiting for since morning. Wu Bosun's secretary called her and said, "Miss Xinying, Wu Bosun is here and you can come for his signature on the contract."

Feng Xinying collected her purse, switched off the computer and went to the elevator. She pressed the button for the ground floor. The elevator stopped on the fourth floor and two men entered, one of them being the same burly man she had seen in the cafeteria. Feeling weird all over again Feng Xinying tried to get out of the elevator but she felt as though an ant has bitten her on the neck. "Ouch!" she cried rubbing her neck. Within a few seconds she lost her senses. The elevator went to the ground floor and then it went straight up to the tenth floor.
