Chapter 359 - When Will This be Cured Doctor?

Feng Xinying closed the door behind her and leaned her back on it. She had to talk to the doctor first without him in the room and then she would have to talk to the doctor in his presence. It was important to understand his situation clearly and then she would make a plan for him. She just had to weave him into her web whatever it took. She got dressed and came out of the bathroom. Seeing that Xie Yuansheng was still sitting in that position, she asked him, "I am going out. Would you want a nurse to assist you to take a bath?"

His gaze followed her as soon as she came out of the bathroom. He nodded. He didn't want her to leave him so soon. How should he ask her that he wanted her to be with him and help him for a few days? Before he could form any solution to his problem, she left the room and sent a nurse in. She waited outside until the nurse helped him to take a proper bath after a month. It was almost an hour before he was ready and Xie Shengjun and Keira were back. When the nurse left, they all went in together. Feng Xinying warned them not to ask him any questions or force him into remembering anything.

When the three of them walked in, Xie Yuansheng looked at all of them with a surprised expression. He stared at Xie Shengjun and Keira. "Who are they?" he asked Feng Xinying.

"Oh, they are my partners in business. They have come to meet me and discuss about business. Is that okay with you?" She asked tenderly.

Xie Yuansheng nodded and relaxed back on his bed. He had finally mustered the courage to ask her if she could let him stay in the hospital for more days and whether she could also stay with him, but in the presence of those people he couldn't ask. He decided to ask her after they were gone.

Feng Xinying was smiling. She looked so happy that Xie Shengjun couldn't help but feel happy for her. He looked at his younger brother and beamed with love for him. "How are you young man?" he asked.

Xie Yuansheng stared at him and replied, "I am fine…" He was sounding as though he knew him from a long time. Perhaps he had been seeing him since Feng Xinying was also there with him.

"Good to know! Are you hungry?" asked Xie Shengjun.

Xie Yuansheng nodded again. He was very hungry. It was as if the man in front of him had read his mind. Suddenly the door opened and Lu Boyun entered with breakfast. Feng Xinying had called him when she waited for Xie Yuansheng outside while he was getting ready. Lu Boyun was ecstatic and had prepared all the favorite dishes for Xie Yuansheng. So when the dishes opened, Xie Yuansheng couldn't help but drool. He looked at food with interest and had it with zest. He felt he was hungry from centuries.

Seeing him eating like that Lu Boyun kept serving him. He didn't even pay attention to the others in the room. Xie Yuansheng finished his breakfast and loved all the dishes made by Lu Boyun. Once he finished, he said, "Even I am a Chef."

Lu Boyun said, "I know. Young miss mentioned that to me."

The breakfast was eaten with excitement. The doctor had come early that day and he had called Xie Shengjun to see him in his chamber. After disconnecting the call, Xie Shengjun gave Feng Xinying knowing looks. Feng Xinying said, "Lu Boyun, can you stay here for a while until we come back?"

"Sure Young Miss," he replied and the trio left to see the doctor.

When they entered the doctor's chamber, all of them had numerous questions to ask. The doctor could see how excited they were. Even he was excited because after all his patient had woken up from the coma.

"When will this be cured doctor?" Feng Xinying darted the question even before she sat down.

"Miss Xinying, you see the memory loss caused in your husband's case was due to the fact that there was a slight delay in getting him here to the hospital and during that time there was depletion of oxygen levels to his brain. Hence this condition is usually temporary. We are so happy that Xie Yuansheng has woken up. Success of the treatment will depend largely on you. It can take a few weeks to a few months," replied the doctor.

"Doctor, please tell me how does it depend on me? I am ready for whatever you ask me," she said as she sat on the chair and rested her chin on her hands.

"In his condition, the mind rejects thoughts, feelings or information that he would be too overwhelmed to handle. From what Xie Shengjun told me in the morning, most likely this is the case of dissociative fugue. However, we need to check it with a psychiatrist. It can lead to patient's unexpected traveling or wandering. He will miss out a few details of life. His mind is currently processing all old information. He is mixing and matching every little detail he can remember."

"So how can we help him?" asked Xie Shengjun.

"You have to be very patient. Firstly, you have to be careful that he doesn't go anywhere. Secondly, do not ask questions he wouldn't want to answer. You cannot overwhelm him. He should get a good sleep and you should help him in quests because that is a walk-down to his memory lane and that would help him recover the memories. He needs to eat healthy food. You have to keep challenging his brain by giving him puzzles and other activities. Everyday create a to-do list for him so that he stays on track. This way slowly he will recover."

This was a lot of information but Feng Xinying had made a mental note of everything the doctor said. It was as if she was back in high school making notes.

"I would really like to talk to Xie Yuansheng now," said the doctor. "However, if you have any more questions, you can ask."
