Chapter 63: Humans Can Only Rely on Themselves!
Isn't there a saying that goes, "Every medicine has three parts poison"? If these drugs not only eliminate the invading viruses in the human body but also attack the immune system, it means that these medications have some level of harm to the body. This is what we call side effects.
Chemotherapy, used to treat cancer, is a method that can kill cancer cells with powerful attacking elements. Once these agents enter the body, they engage in a fierce battle against cancer cells, which are highly resilient and formidable opponents.
It's easy to imagine that this would result in a violent battle within the human body, causing significant damage to the immune system.
Since the immune system is suddenly forced to fight against two different intruders simultaneously, the extent of harm to the body is evident.
Furthermore, the chemotherapy currently developed in the field of medicine, while partially capable of killing cancer cells, cannot achieve a 100% success rate. Sometimes, these cancer cells even develop resistance to the chemical drugs.
However, considering the global scale, there are only a few such cases of cancer self-recovery among the numerous individuals suffering from late-stage cancer. This illustrates that achieving this goal entirely depends on individual circumstances unless a stable method is found.
In fact, many people, upon learning of their cancer diagnosis, never even consider the possibility of continuing to live. Their minds are preoccupied with thoughts of when they will die, rather than if they will survive!
As a result, their thoughts soon become a reality... because they have already chosen to give up on themselves. If they have abandoned themselves, then what way is there to save them?
Hence, the saying holds true: "Humans can only rely on themselves!"
The true meaning behind this statement is often not fully understood by many individuals.
