Chapter 689: Chapter 683: Receiving Down
The number here was immense. Instead of warping directly into the Solar System, the spaceship had come out of a warp at the outskirts of the Solar System. Finn Lewis followed Luna Starfield’s advice and launched an extensive surveillance zone around the entire Solar System.
In the large transport ships following him, there was an assortment of all sorts of detection satellites, even ones for communication. They could establish a robust system that provided coverage of the whole Solar System. Furthermore, these satellites, including the resource detection ones, could thoroughly survey all the resources of every planet within the Solar System.
So, after the fleet had warped to the outskirts of the Solar System, all the warships swiftly began to deploy small spaceships according to a pre-determined plan. These small spaceships, equipped with various types of satellites, would then perform short-ranged warps around the Solar System, setting up a comprehensive system.
Although the task seemed not too difficult, it would still take about a month. Finn Lewis would not stay for such a prolonged time but had already initiated the satellite launch near his location. It was now clear to Finn why the Solar System was no longer referred to as the home of the nine large planets. That was because, on the outskirts of Pluto and within the Kepler Belt, Finn’s scan had already identified at least a dozen planets larger than Pluto.
“Wow, Your Highness, you really have an abundance of materials here,” Luna Starfield suddenly exclaimed in astonishment.
“Oh?” Finn Lewis was taken aback. The Solar System was rich in materials?
“Indeed, Your Highness. The minerals and resources in your planets are in abundance. Most star systems have a relatively narrow variety of minerals due to different environments. However, the mineral distribution in your system is rather rich, especially the precious rare metals in the asteroid belt of the outer planet system, which are even considered valuable in the Galactic Federation,” Luna Starfield explained admiringly.
Finn Lewis silently nodded. He suddenly began to think that in his previous life, despite not knowing why he almost led the royal family of the nine-star system to extinction, there must have been a reason why this place was chosen as the final stronghold and legacy. It could not just be some hastily selected star system.
“Would you like to receive your fully automated factory?” Zero suddenly asked out of nowhere.
“Oh? What do you mean?” Finn Lewis was baffled. He had not expected Zero to suddenly appear and asked in bewilderment.
“It’s nothing. The reward from your previous mission, the multi-functional fully automated factory, is right here. Would you like to claim it?” Zero repeated.
“Yes, should I launch it?” Zero asked straight away.
“Of course. If I’m claiming it, I should launch it, right?” Finn Lewis inquired, nodding.
“Indeed,” replied Zero.
“Okay, then launch it.”
“After the launch, I will no longer be in charge of management. That will all be handed over to you, including its operation. Are you sure about this?” Zero asked once again.
“Yes, go ahead with the launch,” Finn Lewis said, a little unsure, but still nodding.
“Launch confirmed.” As Zero spoke, Finn suddenly widened his eyes. In his sight, the originally pitch-black planet began to emit rays of light. These lights were steadily illuminating the surface, and soon, the entire planet was punctuated with dense points of light, reminiscent of Earth viewed from space at night.
The countless lights brightened the Earth, and what Finn saw now was pretty much the same. However, the lights here were dispersed throughout the planet, illuminating the entire planet. A comprehension surged within Finn followed by a glib query: “Zero, you aren’t going to tell me that this multi-functional fully automated factory is this very planet in front of me, are you?”
“Yes, Your Highness! According to the scan, the whole planet is one huge factory. The interior is the central control room, filled with factories and ports. Based on the scan, the factory’s power engine of the whole planet has been transformed from the planetary core. It houses an enormous number of large factories, including one that manufactures the spaceship we are currently in.” The one speaking was not Zero, but Luna Starfield.
Finn was completely speechless. ‘Oh my god, using a transformed planetary core as a power engine to supply power to the factories making up the entire planet? Really?’ he thought.
“Your Highness, shall we enter?” Luna Starfield asked.
“Let’s go in,” Finn pondered and finally decided to go in for a look.
