On the weekend, in the residential area, Lin Xiaowan got up early. Unprecedentedly, she carefully dressed herself while getting ready, though it wasn’t heavy makeup. She tidied up her appearance from her outfit to her hairstyle.

“Darling, are you done? Why are you taking so long today?”

Lin Xiaowan examined herself closely, made sure everything was fine, and then opened the door. “I’m done, Mom. You’re usually the one who spends the most time in the bathroom. Dad and I never complain, but today, I took a few extra minutes, and you’re already urging me.”

Wang Xiaoqian looked at Lin Xiaowan in surprise. Her daughter looked like a little princess today, much prettier than usual. A mother knows her daughter best, and she could tell that her daughter had an important appointment today.

Was it with a guy? Or with her best friend? Unfortunately, Wang Xiaoqian didn’t have time to dwell on it. As a company president, she was extremely busy.

Seeing that Wang Xiaoqian didn’t notice anything, Lin Xiaowan secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Half an hour later, Wang Xiaoqian came out of the bathroom. “Darling, you have some money on you, right? You can go have breakfast outside later. I have a meeting to attend this morning, so I won’t be making breakfast for you.”

“I know, Mom!”

“Alright!” Seeing that Lin Xiaowan readily agreed, Wang Xiaoqian didn’t think much about it. She grabbed her purse and car keys and left the house.

Lin Xiaowan walked to the window to make sure her mother had driven away before going back to the bathroom to tidy up once more.

At nine o’clock in the morning, Su Lin finally saw Lin Xiaowan at the agreed-upon location. Lin Xiaowan had changed her usual student attire and swapped it for a pair of casual pants. She wore light blue jeans that accentuated her long legs beautifully. Her curvy backside filled the jeans to perfection, showcasing her impressive figure. She paired them with a white round-collar long-sleeved shirt and a small jacket, giving her a mature and stylish appearance.

“Su Lin...”

“Xiaowan!”

Su Lin walked up to Lin Xiaowan and scrutinized her from head to toe. Lin Xiaowan spun around in front of him. “Su Lin, is there something strange about my outfit?”

Su Lin shook his head. “It’s not strange, but now I finally understand why you’ve been dressing so casually at school. If you wore this outfit to school, I bet not many boys could keep their composure.”

“Huh?”

Faced with Lin Xiaowan’s puzzled look, Su Lin chuckled twice. “It means your charm is too great, and boys can’t help themselves.”

“Get lost!”

“Oh? Have you played it before, Su Lin?”

Su Lin shook his head. “No, but I’ve seen online reviews. They all say it’s fun, exciting, and can strengthen relationships, friendships, and reveal a person’s qualities. I thought it would be such an interesting activity, we should give it a try.”

“Your description makes me curious too. Su Lin, do you know how it’s played?”

“Yeah. The gameplay should be quite simple, more interesting than a haunted house,” Su Lin replied with a smile.

“Hau... Haunted house, are we going there too?” Lin Xiaowan didn’t realize that her voice was trembling.

Su Lin shook his head. “After playing the escape room, I won’t be interested in the haunted house.”

“Um... Why does it sound like it’s going to be scary?”

“It’s not scary at all, really, it’s just like solving puzzles.”

“Is that so?”

Just as Lin Xiaowan was filled with doubt, she saw a couple who had just completed the escape room coming out of the exit. The girl was fair-skinned but had been crying bitterly. She was walking unsteadily, and her boyfriend was helping her.

“Them?”

“They should have failed the challenge; that girl looks quite upset,” Su Lin replied casually.

“Failed the challenge?”

Su Lin nodded. Escape rooms in this world were more thrilling and interesting than those on Earth. Su Lin didn’t want to scare Lin Xiaowan away; he wanted to try it himself.

Just as they were talking, a few more people came out of the exit. All the girls were crying, some seemed greatly frightened, and they looked pitiful.

Lin Xiaowan felt uneasy. “Su Lin, how about we try other attractions in the amusement park? I’ve been here before, and some of the rides are really fun.”

Su Lin waved his hand. “Bumper cars, log flume, they’re not that interesting. We’ve played them all before. Today, we’re playing the escape room. Xiaowan, you promised me, we’re doing what I suggested.”

Lin Xiaowan felt a bit dry. “Fine~!!”

Seeing Lin Xiaowan’s reaction, Su Lin chuckled. It seemed that this girl also had a weakness.
