Su Lin nodded, “It’s not good to discuss this at the entrance. Let’s go inside.”
“Let’s go to my office. It’s cleaner,” Xia Shiyu suggested. As the financial manager of Rainforest Company, her office was one of the first to be furnished.
Arriving at Xia Shiyu’s office, Su Lin found it quite plain except for a few potted plants, a desk, and a filing cabinet.

Xia Shiyu smiled shyly, “I don’t like those superficial things. Besides, this is a finance office; it doesn’t need to look too fancy.”

“The Song family? Why would they?”
“The Song family doesn’t have retail businesses, right? Why would they seal our stores?”

Su Lin leaned closer to Lin Xiaowan’s ear and whispered what he wanted.

Su Lin knew Lin Xiaowan came from a powerful background, so whoever she called for help wouldn’t be ordinary. Su Lin wasn’t necessarily worried about not being able to handle the Song family’s people; he just wanted an insurance policy against Xiao Chen.
