Chapter 69 Zombie Fest, Giant-Category Boss-Type Monster Emergency

69 Zombie Fest, Giant-Category Boss-Type Monster Emergency

'Thirty Zombie dolls and two origin cores. Alright, this is enough,' Erix thought as he looked at the loot. Although he could only use ten dolls and one core to create a new type of zombie with his Zombie Fest skill, Erix got the stock to create a second one immediately if his first one died in any fight.

Thirty zombie dolls floated calmy inside his Origin Region while he put the two beast cores into his inventory.

One beast core belonged to a giant mutated ant that could breathe fire and had an earthen exoskeleton. The other beast core belonged to a scarab beetle with powerful defense and the ability to shoot corrosive metal spikes.

His adventure in the town lasted a bit over half an hour before he returned to the camp and saw Rin and Isabella there with the evolved Eagle.

When Erix approached there, the Eagle sent its thoughts to Erix, surprising him with the content.

"You want a name? Alright."

"If it wants a name, how about Sangle?" Rin suggested with a grin. "Eagle plus Sanguinite. Sangle."

"Great," Erix laughed.

"You guys..." Isabella is speechless.

*Whistle!*

The Eagle whistled and nodded.

"Look, it likes the name," Rin chuckled and patted its head.

"Sangle?" Aaron tilted his head. "So we call it Sangle from now on?"

"That's right," Erix nodded with a smile.

"Oh yeah, something happened after Sangle evolved in the forest," Rin proceeded to tell Erix everything that happened in the forest while Aaron and Sangle went to play with other kids.

After listening to the whole thing, Erix nodded and was about to speak before his eyes caught something and changed his words. "You mean those two?"

Erix was facing the west, which was the direction of the forest, so he saw two people approaching the camp as they seemed to come from the forest's direction.

Rin and Isabella turned around and saw Calyan and Luke.

"Yep. But where are the other two?"

However, they saw something strange as Calyan entered the camp, but Luke stayed outside. Afterward, Calyan stretched his fist towards Luke before putting it on Luke's palm as if giving something to him.

And then, Luke smiled, turned around, and dashed in the south direction. A highway road lay in the south after crossing a couple of kilometers.

"What happened?" Isabella was confused.

"No idea," Rin shrugged. "And we don't need to care. Anyway, Erix, did you use your Zombie Fest skill yet?"

"Nope, but I am about to use it. Let's go to our spot."

The trio sat down after arriving at their corner spot.

Erix closed his eyes and focused as his consciousness readily arrived in his Origin Region.

—> Stamina: -

—> Health: 220

—> Magic: 150

_Skills:

—> Toxin Breath: Releases a poisonous breath from the mouth in a cone-shaped area within a three-meter range.

—> Corrosive Nail Shots: Shoots toxic nails with high penetrative power and corrosive effect from its hands. The nails quickly recover if monsters die near the zombie.

"Not bad," Erix nodded while smiling. "It's both tough and powerful."

"I wonder why our vitality stays the same, but the monsters and other beings have higher vitality," Isabella wondered.

"Well, we are still tougher even if our vitality remains the same in number," Rin mused before she pinched her skin. "When I attacked those guys, I thought all of them would die with Thunder Blitz because my current lightning damage is quite high, especially after I got lightning affinity. But they still lived."

"Eh, I thought you spared them," Isabella was startled.

"I couldn't afford to hold back when we were just two, and they were four," Rin wryly smiled.

"I guess it's related to our Health and Strength state," Erix thoughtfully said, "We are physically stronger and tougher because of her Strength and Health state, so our resistance to damage and other injuries automatically increases."

Pausing for a bit, Erix continued with an example, "Basically, if we had Defence value in our status, it would be quite high, but if someone cuts our head off, our life would reach zero, and we would die since this is not a video game."

"I see," Isabella understood. "So the monsters have higher vitality, but they must have mutated like that by whatever affected this world."

"Most likely," Rin nodded in agreement and rested her chin on her head before looking at the day sky. 'And I like this new world more,' she thought.

Erix put away his summon back into his Origin Region before he said, "We'll leave after an hour's rest and then only stop after reaching Phoenix City."

However, a familiar notification rang in his and every single person's ears in the camp after he finished speaking.

[Emergency Encounter! A giant-category boss-type monster will spawn in one minute. Please gather a big group to fight and kill it.]

Instantly, all the people in the camp were startled and looked around in panic.

"Don't panic. Yimaen and others will hurry here!" Matt, the old man who supervised the camp, shouted.

"But what if they didn't get the notification because they are away?!"

"Yeah, we have to inform them!"

"Old man, I am going to inform Yimaen in the town, so send Calyan to inform others in the wilderness!"

Rin, Erix, and Isabella stood up.

"A giant-category boss-type monster? It seems that we have a rewarding task at hand," Erix said as he stretched his limbs while a hint of excitement appeared in his and Rin's eyes.

Isabella also felt eager, but she also had concerns for people in the camp. "Let's kill it quick to prevent casualties."
