Besides the two bears who were eating dead humans, a third bear lay dead, and a strange beast was feasting on it. The beast looked like a panther, two meters tall and four meters long, its figure robust and slender. Its sharp glossy orange crystal teeth were easily cutting through the bear's bones and flesh while the dark orange crystalized patterns on its pitch black body faintly pulsed each second.
"Woah, they are hiding well enough that people going around the small mountain wouldn't notice unless they were flying above, "Rin exclaimed. "Did they bring those people here to eat after fighting somewhere in the mountain?" she wondered. On the other hand, Isabella just lightly sighed at the sight.
"Seems like it was a team of three or four that went to a place they shouldn't have," Erix muttered as he activated his talent.

"Rin, Isabella, use your new skills and kill the bears. I want Panther alive to use my Death Bones skill, so I'll focus on it."
"I think it will run instead of fighting head-on," Rin narrowed her eyes as she judged the Panther's mentality from its behavior.
"Yeah, this one seems the type that attacks from the back unless given no other choice, so if you two target the bears first, it might directly choose to run," Erix grinned. "But I'll be on its black tail to capture it."
"You two are too sharp," Isabella wryly smiled.
Rin smiled with lightning flickering in her eyes. "Let's go, Isabella-sis. Time to practice our newly created skills and hone them further."
"Then I'll start with mine on the bears," Isabella nodded as she took a deep breath and created a Wind Elemental Zone after switching to Wind Elemental Gear.
The name that Mystic Roots system gave Isabella's skill was 'Vortex Flame Lance.' And this Fire-attributed skill couldn't be executed without her Wind Elemental Zone.
Isabella consumed Ether energy and Mana as she used her skill rune to activate the skill, immediately sensing the magic formation she created.
The nodes were in a lance-shaped formation, and they were constantly spinning in the order Isabella formed them, thus creating a spinning Lance of flame!
Isabella nodded. "The cocoon is still big, so it doesn't look like a single bone or something else made from its body."
'Wait...don't tell me this skill basically turns living creatures into undead creatures?' Erix thought before shaking his head. 'No, the skill clearly mentions it's a weapon.'

The trio saw a crack opening in the cocoon before bursting into sparkling black motes and vanishing, leaving behind a meter-long hollow black cannon barrel with white and dark orange patterns.

He pointed at a boulder and pulled the trigger, causing the cannon barrel to release a palm-sized black orb with a faint dark orange and dark green hue by consuming 50 undead energy.
*Boom!*
The boulder was destroyed with a blast while roughly twenty fiery shards exploded and further wrecked it.
"Powerful."
"It has to be powerful," Rin crossed her arms. "After all, you made it from a level 63 Supra-order beast and your class skill."
"Then, let's continue hunting?" Isabella said as she looked at the thick woods where the Panther was entering. "This thicker forest stretches ten kilometers to the south," Erix cracked his neck. "Well, I think it's a good place to farm. Let's go."

The trio went inside and started hunting monsters while time passed by. When the evening arrived, they finally returned with a loot of 28 beast cores, a few items, and a couple of skills scrolls. The number of dropped things was reduced by a lot!
"Let's rest for half an hour and then start our combat training with people and recruit some who are good."
