Chapter 120: Sky Lightning Arbor Fruits

"Now, you can dual wield," Erix grinned and handed the blade to Rin. "This metal is the type that boosts lightning conduction and gives more electro property to your lightning attacks. And combing it with an authentic Tier-2 material, a piece of Voltium Ore, boosted the lightning damage even more."

"It is also beautiful," Rin said as she caressed her hand over the katana's blade and infused 5 points of mana into it.

*Crackle!*

The sword instantly burst out with lightning tendrils all over, stronger than usual!

Rin's eyes sparkled as she immediately condensed the lightning with her control, making the blade sleek with tiny lightning sparks all over the condensed lightning coating on the blade.

"This is awesome, Erix! You can make a magic weapon despite lacking the craft-type Grimoire!"

Rin was excited for Erix.

"Yeah, I used all knowledge I got during 10-day classes I attended to attempt creating a weapon this morning in the Limitless Plane, and it worked," Erix rubbed his nose and nodded before he wryly smiled, "but I don't know why I didn't awaken the grimoire, sigh."

"You needed more time because you didn't have the affinity and talent for it, but-" Rin smiled in adoration, "-but you nurtured this talent you didn't have with your hard work."

"I am sure you will awaken it naturally if you continue," Rin added while feeling the new katana with her senses and checking out its magic formation.

"Right, I also got hope to awaken it naturally," Erix grinned before he showed the metal drill he created to Rin. "Also, Infuse your lightning in this drill and my gauntlets. This way, I can deal more damage."

Rin nodded as if it was a good idea.

After Rin was done, Erix smashed his gauntlets while the drill floated beside him with his control, "I'll focus on cracking their defense with my specialized defense-break punches and this drill. Then you will finish off the crabs."

"Great! Let's slaughter those numbskulls."

...

After killing the crabs in twenty minutes as they moved again, Rin and Erix successfully reached level 89.

The duo could level up fast because of their risky adventure. Most people would still play it safely and level up slowly by killing monsters in low numbers, unlike people like Rin and Erix, who challenged hordes of monsters for quicker progress and improvement.

After harvesting the cores of the crabs, they fought random monsters for an hour more and reached level 90.

"How about we work together and take one fruit each? We have to hurry because they will harvest both fruits soon, and they've also probably called reinforcements."

"Alright, let's do it," Erix's response was immediate as he nodded, a glint passing through his eyes. 'With Rin's comprehension and talent, she will immediately reach the next realm in lightning affinity after eating a fruit.'

"As a token of trust, we will attack them first," One of the men said. "Let's go."

Rin and Erix nodded. These three men in their thirties were humans and were level 94, 93, and 92, respectively.

Although they didn't know their true combat power, Rin and Erix didn't feel threatened by their aura.

...

On the small mountain's peak stood an elven woman and a human man wearing golden-plated metal armor sets facing four men wearing silver-plated leather armor sets.

They stood around the vines that bore two mysterious palm-sized fruits bearing cloudy and lightning patterns of blue and purple color.

"They are ready to harvest. Cut them off carefully from the roots," the woman with long, wavy, bright blond hair ordered.

Dawnbreakre guild was one of the top five guilds in the town, with their leader getting close to level 200.

The members of this guild had their ranks indicated by the tiny shoulder plates on their armor sets crafted by the guild's personal magic smiths.

Armor sets with golden plates indicated they were first-class members, just below the officials and leaders.

Armor sets with silver plates indicated they were second-class members and were usually subordinates of first-class members.

And armor sets with bronze plates indicated newbie members. They get tasks directly from officials to improve and train them.

The two women were level 94 and 95, respectively, and the four men were level 86, 84, and 79.

As the four men received orders from their superiors to harvest the fruits, the man with long brown-black hair frowned as he saw five aurae rapidly approaching them.

"We have a company. Those three idiots returned with two more people."

"Get ready to battle!" the woman said as she unsheathed her long sword.
