Lan Guifang is a short, narrow, L-shaped, cobblestone alley located between the Ringstrasse and the Rue de Guili in Hong Kong.
In Hong Kong, there are many independent bars besides luxury hotels. Hong Kong was not big, and there were quite a few bars.
The rich and small Lan Gui Fang, the bright and green Wan Chai Luo Ke Road, and the colorful Jiulong sharp sand beak were all places where bars were concentrated.
However, the most famous and rich bar area was none other than Lan Guifang.
While driving the black Porsche, Zhou Hao and Su Lin arrived at Hong Kong's famous red light district.
As soon as he entered the Orchid Fragrance Market, Zhou Hao immediately realized that the atmosphere there was completely different from the atmosphere in the Central Region.
It was a cobblestone market, with bar and restaurant lined on both sides brimming with continental flavors. There were also those sexy, attractive, young, and beautiful women on the streets.
As well as the various colors of the foreigner, Zhou Hao had already smelled the faint scent of alcohol that floated in the air.
Su Lin also looked at this strange street curiously. When she came to Hong Kong in the past, she had never come here before.
This time, along with Zhou Hao, they had seen the famous Orchid Fragrance Workshop for the first time.
"Let's go." Zhou Hao smiled at Su Lin, and then bent his right arm in a gentlemanly manner.
Su Lin laughed and nodded, he then pulled Zhou Hao's right arm and the two of them walked in between the bright lights.
They chose a bar called California, which was small and had a blue neon sign.
But when he walked in, Zhou Hao realized that the area of the bar was not small, it was big enough to accommodate a hundred people.
The lights inside were dim and mostly blue, giving off a dreamy feeling.
Heavy black blues floated above the bar, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
The majority of the people in the bar were young, the oldest being probably no more than forty years old, and there were even many foreigner s among them.
There was an empty space on the other side which served as the dance floor of the bar. Pairs of men and women were there, slowly twisting their bodies to the melodious song, emitting an ambiguous smell of alcohol.
"Welcome, this is your first time here, right?" The bartender behind the bar smiled and greeted the two of them.
Zhou Hao and Su Lin looked towards the source of the voice and realised that the bartender was actually a young black man in his twenties.
There was a friendly, warm smile on his face, revealing the shiny white teeth of a black man.
Zhou Hao and Su Lin were both very surprised, because the black man spoke Cantonese with perfect proficiency, sounding just like the locals in Hong Kong.
Seeing the expressions on Zhou Hao's and Su Lin's face, the black man laughed and said, "I have been raised in Hong Kong.
"Hehe, my name is Wallace. I'm the owner of this' California 'and also a bartender."
"Hello, my name is Zhou Hao. This is my friend, Su Lin." Zhou Hao smiled and shook hands with Wallace.
"I've never seen you guys before. Is this your first time here?" Wallace said.
Su Lin nodded, "That's right, we are from the country. We heard that Lan Guifang is very famous, so we came over to take a stroll."
"Yes, Hong Kong will return to China in two months. Many mainland people have come to Hong Kong to do business."
Wallace smiled, "Since this is your first time here, let me buy you a drink of wine, as a greeting gift."
After he finished speaking, he skillfully made a cup of ice iced "tequila" for the two of them. However, this "tequila" was blue in different places.
Wallace laughed and said, "I added some blueberry juice inside to make it taste better. I call it 'Blue-tone'. Try it on."
Zhou Hao covered the mouth of the cup with the cup as he knocked the tequila cup towards the table.
When the foam started to bubble up, he drank it all in one gulp. Then, he let out a long sigh. "Not bad, not bad."
Seeing Su Lin looking at him suspiciously, he laughed: "What's wrong? This is how tequila is drunk. "
On the opposite side, Wallace also laughed, "That's right, so Mr Zhou is already a veteran."
Thus, Su Lin imitated Zhou Hao's action of knocking the cup of "Draconic Tongue Orchid" down on the table, then picked it up and drank it all in one gulp.
However, she was obviously not a person who was good at drinking. If she were to drink just one cup, her face would turn as red as an apple.
Zhou Hao asked Wallace, "Wallace, Hong Kong is about to return. What do you think?
Or would you leave Hong Kong like some other Hong Kong people and emigrate to other countries? "
Wallace laughed, "Actually, many people have asked me that. Even some of my friends have advised me to leave Hong Kong.
Because they do not know if Hong Kong will be able to maintain social stability when it returns to China. "However …"
He said to Zhou Hao: "I understand China, and I have confidence in China.
And Hong Kong has freedom of speech, sound legal system, general English, and a series of advantages such as finance, trade, talent and so on.
"With the 'one country, two systems' and the basic laws in place, Hong Kong's future is bound to be bright."
Zhou Hao also laughed, he raised his glass to Wallace and said, "Then let's toast to the bright future of Hong Kong."
"Alright, cheers!" Wallace picked up a glass of beer and clinked it with Zhou Hao's glass.
At this moment, a twenty-something year old American white man walked over and sat beside Su Ting. With a warm smile on his face, he asked in English, "Miss, can I buy you a drink?"
Su Lin was slightly stunned, she did not expect these foreigner to be so proactive and come over so quickly to strike up a conversation.
Wallace said to the white man, "Come on, Jim, can't you see he has a partner?"
The man named Jim shrugged his shoulders and said in Cantonese that he was not familiar with, "Maybe he's just an ordinary friend. If I have the chance, I can't miss it."
Then, he looked at Su Lin again, "Miss, how is it?
Su Lin smiled as she shook his head, and politely replied: "I thank you for your good intentions, but there's no need."
Although Su Lin rejected her, Jim still very politely invited her to have a drink with him.
Wallace smiled at him. "To pursue a Chinese girl, you'd better practice your Chinese."
The two were obviously close friends, so they began to tease each other.
Zhou Hao watched as the man and woman slowly twisted their bodies under the music, and then said to Su Lin who was beside him: "Su Lin, let's go dance."
"Dance? But, but I don't. " Su Lin hesitated.
"I don't either. Come on." With that, Zhou Hao jumped down from the chair, and pulled Su Lin's hand as she walked towards the dance floor.
Su Lin could not refuse Zhou Hao, so she had to follow him.
Unlike the other dailies, the men and women here only moved their bodies to the music's natural gentle movements, showing only a romantic mood instead of presumptuous madness.
Zhou Hao pulled Su Lin to the dance floor, placed his hand on Su Lin's shoulder and waist, and let Su Lin support her shoulder. Just like that, the two people danced back and forth slowly.
The blues song was soft, and there was a kind of laziness in it that made people feel relaxed.
Facing Zhou Hao, who was just inches away from him, Su Lin's heart jumped wildly, and he nearly stepped on Zhou Hao's feet a few times.
However, under Zhou Hao's gentle smile, she slowly calmed down and enjoyed the romantic music with Zhou Hao.
They danced for a while on the dance floor and then came back to talk to Wallace.
Wallace was a very good friend and an enthusiastic one. He chatted about Hong Kong with Zhou Hao and the others, as well as his own views on Hong Kong and China.
As Su Lin was not good at drinking, she changed it to orange juice later on.
When he came out from "California", it was already close to midnight. Zhou Hao smiled to Su Lin who was beside him.
"Yes." Su Lin nodded, "Wallace is a pretty good friend. We'll chat with him another day."
Zhou Hao's Porsche was parked outside on the street, and the two of them walked towards the street together. When he passed by an alley, he suddenly heard the sounds of a dispute coming from inside.
"Let me go! I don't want to go back with you! Let me go! " It was a clear and melodious female voice.
Furthermore, Zhou Hao felt that this female voice was somewhat familiar, and he did not know where he had heard it before.
Looking into the alley, Zhou Hao saw that it was the back alley of Lan Guifang.
In the depths of the alley, a few men surrounded a man and woman. The man in the lead was tightly holding onto the woman's hand without letting go.
The man next to the woman also shouted, "Let go of Vivian! Otherwise, I'll call the police! "
Although he was a man, his voice sounded effeminate, making people wonder if he was gay.
When he took out his cell phone to call the police, a man beside him snatched him away.
"I told you to call the police!" With that, he threw the cell phone onto the ground and shattered it into pieces.
However, Zhou Hao realized that the man who was fighting for her phone was actually the Jin Shun that he met in the "Mourning Tea Restaurant" that afternoon.
"Su Lin, drive the car over here first. I'll go and take a look. " Zhou Hao gave the car keys to Su Lin.
"Be careful." Su Lin knew that Zhou Hao's skills were not bad, although she was worried about him, she still followed his instructions and walked towards the car.
Then, Zhou Hao walked into the alley and took out an iron rod from the trash can at the side.
"What are you guys doing, highway robbery!" Zhou Hao asked loudly as he came to the side of those people.
Those people were startled by Zhou Hao's sudden shout. Jin Shun and his gang turned around and saw Zhou Hao and sneered, "Heh! It's you. "
