Chapter Ch122.2 - Montespan
He took a deep inhale of the smell of big boss inside the instance, lying in one place for one second, then shifting to another spot the next, moving around everywhere restlessly. He vaguely seemed to have returned back to the R-Code base when he’d still been able to bully the young little angelic Wei Shi and was so happy he stopped just short of letting out happy soap bubbles.
“Stop moving.” The man’s voice was hoarse.
Wu Jin instantly became well-behaved and gave a slightly nasal sound of acknowledgement––
Wei Shi’s gaze was deep. He wanted to wake him up, yet also couldn’t bear to do so. He could only rub twice against the side of the youth’s neck in revenge, the rough, callused fingertips swiping across the healed bite mark. Unexpectedly, Vera, who was next to the fireplace in the distance, woke up bleary eyed at this time, pushing aside the biography that had been over her head.
Wu Jin woke up again with a whoosh.
The youth’s eyes were wide and round. Seeing that Vera was about to lift up the biography, he was anxious to pull away from the big boss. Unexpectedly, his ankle was still caught on the big boss’s leg, and his entire center of gravity was unstable, causing him to topple over from the bottom of the chair.
Wei Shi was quick to reach out and catch him, but Wu Jin was like a salted fish as he rolled off in a daze, falling with a thump onto the carpet.
Wei Shi: “……”
Vera woke up completely in an instant. Seeing that Wu Jin had fallen miserably onto the ground while Wei Shi sat in his chair and looked at him, she became furious, “Isn’t it just that he couldn’t solve the problem! What are you kicking him for! What’ll you do if you break Little Witch!”
She glanced at the camera and saw that the recording lights were off, then added happily, “Scum man!”
A quarter of an hour later, Wu Jin’s lips and mouth were dry as he finally finished explaining. Vera hesitated, then said, “How nice was it when we had just started looking for paintings! Little Witch, don’t be afraid, we managed to drive away the great demon king Wei Yan, and we can also drive away Wei Shi!”
Wu Jin was about to continue explaining when the corner of his gaze accidentally swept down over the rectangles––
He suddenly went still.
“Look for paintings… the rectangles are the frames.”
Vera was at a loss, “What frames––”
Wu Jin spoke quickly, “The Franco-Dutch War, the Great Alliance War, and so on are the themes of the paintings, and rectangles are how the frames are arranged. There is only one place in the entire Palace of Versailles where the entire history of the French wars and coups are described in oil paintings.”
“The war corridor.”
“The next clue to the Louis XIV card is in the war corridor.”
Wu Jin pushed the chair aside and stood up. “Let’s go, let’s finish this deal.”
9PM at night. Chu Chu immediately went to find the Wei Shi who’d headed to the fragrance mixing room when she learned that they’d cracked the clue. This &#k2018;King’ accepted the lead they’d been given and disappeared into the Versailles night.
“Wait a minute, Madame de Montespan’s information…” Wu Jin reached out in a frenzy, “The deal! The transaction!”
Chu Chu comforted him, “Don’t worry! The big god will give it to you!”
The group of them went back to the long table. Not only Vera, but also Chu Chu and Wu Jin all took the chance to sleep in the dark. During the high-intensity competition period of the show, they were only able to get 3 or 4 hours of sleep at most during each day and night cycle.
They slept until someone knocked on the table.
Wu Jin opened his eyes in a confused daze.
The big boss handed Chu Chu a bunch of keys, “Take Miss Vera to the guest room.”
Chu Chu chirped an agreement and went to shake Vera awake. Even before the White Rose had woken up, Wu Jin was already wrapped up in a blanket.
The struggling Wu Jin: “……”
In the next second, the door to the master bedroom opened, and the wrapped Wu Jin roll was tossed directly onto the bed.
“!!!” Wu Jin finally came back to his senses and gathered his spirits to ask the question, “Did you find it––”
“Mm.” Wei Shi ordered, “Be good, go to sleep.”
He didn’t think that when he turned back, Wu Jin would be lying on the bed in a diagonal swimming posture, his small round face rubbing against the edge of the bed, looking as though he was floating in the clouds. He was obviously oblivious and having a good time.
Wu Jin forced himself to open up his bleary, sleepy eyes and speak, and he even slapped at the bed in threat, “Montespan… information…”
Wei Shi glanced at him, his face expressionless, “Take off your clothes.”
Wu Jin, “Wh-what!”
Wei Shi: “After you get into the quilt, Montespan’s information will be given to you in the form of a bedtime story.”
Wu Jin’s thoughts were dull, and he felt that this wasn’t an unfavorable deal, so he slowly took off his combat jacket, rolled around onto the bed, and tossed his pair of waterproof combat pants to the ground.
Then, he spread out flat and didn’t move.
Wei Shi tucked the tired Wu Jin into the quilt, copping a few feels of the pale, slender legs as a reward as he did so.
Wu Jin was pinched and cried out, “Hey!!”
Wei Shi opened up Louis XIV’s clothing cabinet and changed into Louis XIV’s nightwear with an extreme sense of the hero’s consciousness. Just before the candle lights went out, Wu Jin tugged at the sleeve of his nightgown again.
Wu Jin: “Bedtime story, bedtime story!”
Wei Shi nodded acknowledgement and went to the bookshelf to pull out a book, “Louis XIV’s most famous mistress was Madame de Montespan. The king fell in love with the lady at first sight during a ball. The Grand Trianon Palace was a gift from the King to Montespan.”
The dim candlelight was placed at the head of the bed. When Wu Jin saw the big boss leaning over, he quickly lifted up a corner of the quilt.
The man’s body temperature was hot, and the narrow space inside the quilt seemed to have been scorched by the sun.
Wu Jin wiggled closer to him.
“Later on, the King’s favor shifted. Montespan was accused of…”
Wu Jin continued to wriggle towards Wei Shi.
He closed the book and turned off the lights, “Alright, sleep.”
Wu Jin stilled, and rolled back across all the space he’d wriggled closer in indignation, “You cheater! Where’s the key information!”
Wei Shi expressionlessly tricked the rabbit, “The rest will be delivered in the form of a wake-up story. You should sleep.”
Wu Jin still had more to say, but he was caught by surprise when Wei Shi held him down and gave him a punishing, shallow kiss.
The room was dark, and Wu Jin could only act like a blind little guy as he grumbled and struggled.
The big boss’s voice was hoarse, sweeping through his ear and causing it to go numb with electricity as he spoke, “The aftereffects of the emotional lock. How many hours a day did Doctor Zhou Nan tell you to sleep?”
Wu Jin’s heart was guilty, “7 hours… but the game is a special situation…”
Wei Shi was indifferent, “Didn’t I come and solve this special situation for you.”
Wu Jin was stunned. He suddenly thought about how, for this fifth elimination match, the big boss had changed his style, clearing out the Grand Trianon Palace as soon as he landed on the ground. This level of ferociousness was totally inconsistent with his previous hiding and remaining in the background––
Wei Shi gave his final ultimatum, “Sleep.”
Wu Jin quickly closed his eyes, and his eyes moved slightly beneath his eyelids until the heated aura gradually invaded every square inch of space. The teenager smacked his lips and finally couldn’t help falling into sleep.
Ten minutes later, the Wu Jin who was almost asleep once again wriggled a little, and only when he was stuck together against Wei Shi did he finally curl up in a comfortable ball.
Wei Shi bowed his head to look at Wu Jin.
Countless voices clamored in his mind––
“I’ve never seen a case like this before.”
“The best scabbard.”
“The test results have come out, and the values are totally different from that of ordinary people. If he’s willing, we would like to follow up––and find out if Mister Wu was given a large amount of MHCC agents prior to the age of 15. To be precise, it was an excessive and abusive amount.”
The door to the King’s bedroom that had been left slightly ajar squeaked shut.
Wu Jin didn’t realize it at first, but his breathing started to become anxious a few minutes later.
“Relax.” Wei Shi kissed him on the forehead and pulled him into his arms.
He waited until Wu Jin had gone back to sleep before getting up to open the side door slightly.
The night breeze swept in through the door.
There were still residual traces of drugs, his hearing was too sharp, and he had slight claustrophobia.
Wei Shi’s eyes were as sharp as bayonets.
Juurensha: Clearing out an entire instance just to give Little Witch time to sleep….even Vera should approve!
xiin: it’s super sweet. does anyone else think that Wei Shi is actually a huge marshmallow inside? omg. omg!
