Chapter 173

173 Enjoy the hot springs, please! part *Ugh*

“Where am I?”

“You’re in your room, mister Ryu”

“No, I meant, what is this?”

Ryu patted the soft cushion that threatened to suffocate him.

“That’s miss Risa’s breast mister Ryu”

Sera replied coldly, giving way to a very awkward moment where Ryu’s mind attempted to move away but his body refused to obey.

“Don’t push yourself, you must be feeling awful”

“Not really, I just need some tea and I’ll be as good as new”

“Please let me brew some for you”

Sera bowed her head politely and left the room without commenting on Ryu lying next to a sleeping Risa, right in between her two soft mounds.

Risa was crossed diagonally in bed with her beds spread wide open and hugging Ryu in her sleep. She had an innocent smile on her face with her unusual protruding fangs barely showing and there was a small thread of drool dripping down her cheek.

There was a soft snoring coming from somewhere in the room, but despite Risa looking like a hibernating bear, it wasn’t coming from her.

Ryu tried to get up but Risa held him tighter, pressing his face against the softness of her chest, he was being treated the same as a regular plushie. It took some effort, but he was finally able to wiggle out from her embrace and he was able to see where was the snoring coming from.

Luke was sleeping beneath Ryu’s bed and only his legs were showing.

“Just what in the world happened last night?”

“A lot happened”

Sera replied, she brought with her a tray with tea, bread, cheese and some cookies. Although Ryu ate his full last night and had a lot to drink, he still felt a bit hungry and accepted with gratitude the abundant breakfast Sera offered him.

Risa started sniffing the air with her eyes still closed and suddenly sat in a straight position.

“Food!”

Risa took a piece of bread and started chewing it loudly, crumbs falling on top of the bed, but Ryu didn’t mind it. After a few sips of tea he was feeling better already, and he woke Luke up.

“Where am I? uh? what are you doing in my dream Ryu?”

“Get up already, there’s food on the night stand”

The sole thought of food hit Luke in the stomach and he couldn’t keep himself from puking his guts out in the floor.

“Dude, get a hold of yourself!”

It was past noon and everyone but Sera was feeling tired and sluggish, especially Luke. Risa, who was a lot more resistant to alcohol was the only one who knew exactly what happened before they got to bed but her lips were sealed, Sera didn’t know a thing because she was already asleep by the time they got to the villa.

“Please Risa, tell me what happened!”

“Nope”

“Come on, you owe it to me!”

“I owe you!? you should be grateful to me, if you remembered what happened you would be on the floor licking my feet”

“I can do that if it gets you to tell me”

The last thing that Luke remembered was going to the hot springs and finding out the hot springs were mixed, but his memories were fuzzy at best and he couldn’t remember what happened after that. He couldn’t even recall what did the girls looked like, all he knew was that they were in the hot springs.

Ryu wasn’t much better, he did remember a bit better, but as soon as he dipped into the water his mind went blank.

All the heroes spent the rest of the day recovering from the previous celebration, but Heimar summoned Ryu to the main building. The maid who came looking for him was very polite about it so he didn’t find a reason to decline.

“Good afternoon mister Ryu, I hear you’re the actual party leader, is that correct?”

“It is, but, who are you?”

“I’m Heimar”

A tall young man dressed in a comfortable silk robe stood in front of Ryu, they were almost the same height so they looked each other in the eye without difficulty.

“You look...”

“Younger, I know, that’s why I summoned you here... to explain you why we couldn’t ask the kingdom for help”

“I don’t get it, are the hot springs really that effective?”

“I could answer your question, but then you wouldn’t be able to leave this place”

Ryu gulped down his saliva at Heimar’s statement, there really was something weird about the hot springs, but for the first time his curiosity was completely nullified by the fear he felt. The same old man that had trouble walking with his own legs, now looked like a seasoned warrior. It wasn’t that he looked that strong, but the strange phenomenon was unsettling.

“What did you want to tell me then?”

“I’ll be frank, I need the egg shell. I know you have it and it’s necessary for the spring to keep functioning. The creature that came out of that egg is no ordinary beast, it’s actually a mythical beast”

“You can’t be serious, this little buddy is just a snake”

“Snake!? it’s a snake the same as you are a monkey! it’s not a snake but a dragon!”

Ryu stared at heimar in disbelief, allowing the old man to further explain.

“Do you really think a normal egg can heat a whole lake and evaporate it completely in less than a month? This has never happened before, and yet we knew it would happen eventually. My ancester was this age when she found the egg, its mana was so strong she almost fainted just by being nearby. She threw it into the lake and took it upon herself to guard the lake and its secret, after centuries of studying my family found out that’s precisely what dragons do to hatch their eggs. They lay eggs in bodies of water, inside volcanos, any place with a strong mana flow”

“Why are you telling me all this? how am I supposed to believe any of this”

“It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not because you’ll see it for yourself, all I care about is that you give me the shell so the hot springs can keep functioning. I won’t have it against you if you decide to keep it, but it would do you no good, while it can keep my family safe for another hundred years or so”
