Catherine was looking at Mike with amus.e.m.e.nt in her eyes.
Susan and John looked at each other and smiled.
"John...there is something you need to know about your brother..."
"No need to explain, Mother. I know already that my brother is bis.e.x.u.a.l, Catherine told me about his real personality a long time ago," John said.
"Are you okay with his personality?" Susan asked.
"Yes. I have no problem with people of his kind. They're also human like us. I don't judge and condemn bis.e.x.u.a.l people like him. What matters to me is that we're brothers and we understand each other," John said.
Susan's eyes sparkled feeling thankful to her son. "Thank you, son, for accepting your brother the way he is. I tried to change his ways but I failed. Then I got tired of trying, then one day, I just teach my self to accept him and I already got used to his quirky identity somehow," she said with sadness in her eyes.
John looked at her mother feeling her blues, it must have been very hard for her when she discovered that her son acts differently than most men do, it's very hard for every parent to accept situations like this. "Don't be so emotional mother, Mike seems to be a good man," he said, rubbing his mother's back affectionately.
Susan fought the tears from falling in her eyes. "Let's go now to the dining room," she said. "Mike and Catherine follow us in the dining room for lunch..."
John and Susan left the room.
Mike and Catherine looked at each other.
"Hi Cath, how are you doing? How's married life? Is my brother treating you right?" he asked, looking at her face intently.
"I'm fine, your brother is very good to me, he is treating me like a Queen. I have no regrets marrying your brother," Catherine answered.
Mike stared at her misty-eyed. "That's good! I'm happy for you. Seeing you look so happy with the babies is more than enough for me," he said, then he sighed deeply. "I guess I will never get married to a woman in this lifetime," he added, wearing a forlorn face.
Catherine frowned. "Oh, why is that?"
"Because the only woman I want to marry is you, and now that you are already married, I am losing hope already," Mike said with a serious face. "How I wish there's a woman's out there that looks exactly like you," he murmured in a wishful tone.
Catherine smiled. "There is one woman that looks exactly like me, my identical twin sister, Caroline," she said, she fished out her phone from her shoulder bag and scanned her photo gallery, she found the photos of her and Caroline when they were still single. "Tada! here...she is!" she showed him the pic.
"OMG! She looks exactly like you! Where is she---? Is she single?" Mike's eyes shone with great interest.
Catherine erupted in laughter. "Yes, she is single. But she's currently out of the country," she said.
"Introduce me to your sister if she comes back already, okay?" Mike said.
"Okay," Catherine nodded her head, feeling amused by Mike's reaction, she had a feeling that he was just joking.
A few minutes later.
John came back into the room and lifted baby James and placed him in his arms, Catherine does the same to baby Angel, the three of them exited the room heading for the dining room.
Anna and Ramon arrived in the dining room to take baby James and baby Angel away so that the parents can eat their lunch properly.
Before they settled in the chairs, Susan introduces Hector to Mike as John's father.
"Son, this is Hector, John's father," Susan said.
"I'm pleased to meet you, Sir!" Mike said.
Hector smiled. "Nice meeting you too, Mike!" he responded.
They shake hands.
"Okay, let's start our lunch, guys," Susan said.
Everyone was looking appreciatively at the sumptuous dishes that Susan ordered special dishes for today's lunch from her favorite restaurant.
She then recited a short prayer thanking God for the wonderful times and the bountiful blessings they received every day.
After the prayer, they started putting foods in their plates, admiring the food feast in front of them, there's a variety of delicious mouth-watering dishes in the table such as seafood, pork, chicken, pasta, soup, desserts, and etcetera.
One hour later, they already finished eating their meal.
They retired into the living room. It's now Ramon, Anna and George's turn to eat lunch in the dining room.
Hector's entourage stays in Susan's mansion for another three hours, they talked and discussed all topics under the sun.
It was such a happy family reunion.
Time flies too fast!
The evening was fast approaching.
Time to go home.
John and his family bid goodbye to Susan, and Mike suggested that they should get together at least once a month for a family bonding and they all agreed.
Susan and Mike watched the two vehicles departed from her estate. She kept waving her arms until the vehicles can no longer be seen from where she was standing.
"Are you happy, Mom?" Mike asked his mother.
Susan smiled brightly, the satisfaction in her face was breathtaking. "Yes, I'm very happy today, son, the long wait is so worth it!" she answered.
Mike feels happy for his mother.
Mother and son entered the house, both sporting glowing happiness on their faces.
