Catherine called her cousin Grace on her phone.
"Hello Cousin!" Grace said.
"Hi Grace, I just called to check on you and the kids, how's Mother and my siblings?" Catherine asked.
"We are all fine here, how's the babies, and your husband? How's married life?" Grace asked.
Catherine smiled. "We are fine here and everything is good with my married life, thanks for asking Grace. Can you visit me here and please bring my mother with you?"
"When...and why? Do we have to bring the children with us?" Grace asked.
"Just you and my mother, I need to tell her something important about Caroline," she said.
"Ah okay, I will just instruct my housemaid to take care of the two kids. How about tomorrow since it's Saturday and no school?"
"That's good, only if you are not busy," she said.
"Me...I'm not busy...I'm always free...you know my job it's very flexible," Grace laughed.
"Thanks Grace, I will wait for you and mother's presence tomorrow, okay? I will cook delicious dishes for you guys...please come early....lunch time, okay?"
"Sure! We will be there, I'm so excited to see the babies!" Grace said.
"See you tomorrow, cousin! Byeee..." Catherine said.
"Bye cousin!" Grace replied.
The call ended.
Catherine put her phone in the bedside table. She has a total of three phones, she plan to give one of her old phone to her mother tomorrow. Her mother doesn't like owning a touch screen phone because for her it's c.u.mbersome, but she will insist that it's about time her mother will learn how to used a touch screen phone.
There was a knocked on the door.
"Ma'am Catherine, you had a visitor!" Anna's voice rung in the air.
She opened the door. "Who is it?"
"It's Susan and Mike," Anna answered.
Oh! Catherine said, it's her other mother-in-law!
"Where are they?"
"They are in the living room," Anna said.
"Okay, helped me bring baby James's into the living room. I'm sure they are here to see the babies," she said.
Anna walked to the crib where baby James was currently lying...playing with the toys that was hanging above his crib, she took the baby and place in her arms and get out of the room.
Catherine hastily changed into a presentable clothes and quickly brush her hair in the mirror.
She lifted baby Angel and carry her in her arms, her daughter's eyes was wide awake, she smiled and kissed the baby's cheek. "Let's go baby Angel and see your second grandmother and your uncle," she said.
Catherine exited the master's bedroom carrying the wide awake baby angel in her arms.
She found the visitors busy cooing at baby James who looked at the visitors with interest in his eyes, but he was friendly as usual showing his toothless grin to his grandma and uncle.
"Hello Mother... hello Uncle Mike!" Catherine greeted them with a bright smile.
Susan smiled back at Catherine. "Hi Cath! Let me see my granddaughter!" she said excitedly.
Catherine put baby Angel into her grandmother's arm.
"Baby Angel...granny here...miss you a lot!" Susan said.
Mike raised his head to see Catherine, their eyes met...Catherine smiled at him...he smiled back.
"How are you, brother Mike?" Catherine asked.
"I'm fine," Mike answered with a bit of sadness in his eyes.
Catherine nods at him.
"Is baby James already starts learning how to walk?" Mike asked.
"Yes. But he is a bit lazy," Catherine grinned.
"Maybe because his thighs and arms too chubby he can't carry his own weight. Baby James you need to diet!" Mike joked and laughed.
Susan and Catherine joined in the laughter.
"I will call John here," Catherine said.
Susan shook her head. "Nah...no need. We drop by at his office earlier before we come here, we won't be staying long, we just drop by a visit to see my grandchildren. We will have small gathering in the house this weekend hope you and John come with the kids, it will be a dinner event, just a family get together," she explained.
"Yeah sure! We will visit you in your house this weekend, Mother," Catherine replied.
"That's good...we will be going now," Susan said.
"How about staying for dinner? I will cook something for you, guys," she offered.
"Ah, no need...thanks daughter!" Susan politely declined her daughter-in-laws offer.
"Time to say goodbye kids because uncle and grandma is going home," Mike said and placed baby James on Catherine's arms. He holds baby Angel in his arms for a few minutes and kissed the baby girls cheeks...."Bye bye baby Angel, see you next week!" he said.
Anna come forward to take baby Angel from Mike's arms.
Susan and Mike rose to their feet and bid goodbye to Catherine and the kids.
Catherine walked them to the door. "Bye Mother....Bye Mike!" she said.
"Bye daughter!" Susan said.
"Bye Cath!" Mike said.
"Byeeee!" Catherine said, she only shut the door after the mother and son entered the elevator that will bring them to the ground floor.
Catherine faced Anna. "Let's go to the kitchen and let's prepare dinner, Anna," she said.
"Yes Ma'am!" Anna answered.
The two women brought the two kids into the kitchen and placed them in their respective crib. Anna put the two chopping board and knives in the table, as well the spices, then she took out the vegetables, herbs, tomatoes...fish and meat from the fridge.
Catherine began chopping onions, garlic, tomatoes, belle pepper and vegetables while glancing at her children from time to time. She loves cooking very much and the kitchen is one place she loves to hang out by planning and preparing savory and delicious dishes for her husband. She loves it when her husband would praise her cooking skill...even though sometimes she isn't always cooking with perfection, he would always say to her...'Cath...too salty...a little bit bland or needs some salt'...then she would cook the same dishes every other day until she can perfect the taste too his liking.
She was enjoying her cooking.
John would always encourage her to have no fear in trying different dishes so that she can broadened her knowledge when it comes to experimenting other types of cuisines.
John barged into the kitchen...he kissed baby Angel's cheeks and lifted baby James into his arms. "Let's continue practicing your walking, son," he said and winked at her wife.
He went to the living room and was having fun teaching his son with his walking, while his wife was busy preparing dishes in the kitchen.
'Life is Good!' John murmured to himself.
