John and Catherine took Caroline's brand new car for a spin around the neighborhood for a few minutes, after the joyride, John parked back the car in the garage area. The car is a brand new Ford Fiesta, with an eye-catching glossy red color.
"This car is good for beginners like Caroline," he commented. "What do you think, Cath?" he asked.
Catherine inspected the interior of the vehicle. Being born poor, she doesn't know if the car's performance is good or not, she knows that having a chance to be able to board a car every day is already a blessing for someone like her, in her opinion the red car is just perfect for her sister. "It's a nice car, I love the color and it got a nice glossy exterior and interior is superb," that's all she can say. For poor people like her owning a car is already a mind-blowing experience, and to be honest she doesn't even have her car yet even if she already married to a wealthy guy like John. Does she need to own one to make her happy just like her sister? Nah—no need. His husband's car is also her own.
Catherine could never imagine that Caroline would one day drive a car, then live in a brand new house and lot, all hers. She still can remember the extreme poverty they had suffered in the province, for them having three meals a day is already a luxury that can make them happy, for them finding the foods to eat in the next meal is very hard to do during those times, that's how poor they were back home.
Her life changed for the better when she met John.
Caroline's life also changed drastically after meeting John's brother, Joseph. Caroline's terrible experience with Joseph is a nightmare.
Her experience with John is bittersweet, but true love triumphs in the end, that's why she and John were meant to be together 'till the end of time.
Now it dawned on her that she and her sister were destined to meet the two brothers in this lifetime. And the two brothers were the instrument used by destiny to change the course of their life.
"Cath, do you want to own a car? I will buy you one," John offered casually.
She looked at her husband and grinned. "No need to buy me a car, I don't have time to learn to drive, I'd rather spend my time caring for our children because they only stay young once, when they grow up they won't need much of my time anymore, when that time I can finally learn how to drive a car on my own and you can buy me one. For now, my top priority is our children's well being," she replied.
"Okay, I'm grateful that you prioritize our children over other things, Cath. All you need to do is take care of our children and take care of me then I will take care of the rest for us, I will work harder to give you and our kids a bright future. Just ask me anything that money can buy I will try my hardest to give you anything you want," John stated.
Catherine smiled brightly at John. "Hmm—as of now I can't think of anything that I want you to buy for me, I already have everything..."
"How about jewelry?" he asked.
Catherine shook her head. "I'm not crazy when it comes to jewelry, a necklace and pair of earrings are enough for me, I don't need more. Honestly, you already have given me everything and I can't ask for more. But maybe in the future, I will have a change of mind so get ready..." she said cheekily.
"How about branded bags and shoes, it's every woman's dreams to own?" he added.
Catherine rolled her eyes. "I stay in the house all the time caring for baby Angel and Baby James, I don't need many bags and shoes, three bags and three pair of shoes is enough for me. You know my addiction well—cooking! I love experimenting and preparing different types of dishes for you, so yeah..."
"So—you want a much bigger oven in the kitchen? I can buy you one," John suggested.
"Nah, no need. We will only buy a new oven after our old oven will malfunction and can no longer be used. Why would we need a new one when the old one is still usable?" she pointed out.
John smiled delightfully at his wife, loving every word that comes out of her kissable mouth. "Okay, you got a valid point, love," he said caressing her arms lovingly. "So—will you go with us to the airport to fetch my Mom, Caroline and the baby next week?"
Catherine shook her head. "Nah, I will just wait for you guys in the Infinity Jade Tower. Sandra and I already ordered the menu for that special day. Everything is already taken care of," she responded.
"How about the wedding preparation and everything about the wedding—?" John reminded her.
Catherine smiled radiantly, just thinking of the incoming church wedding which is going to happen two weeks from now filled her heart and mind with a rush of excitement. "Oh my God! I can't wait for the church wedding!" she squealed delightfully. "Rest easy husband, dear, Sandra and I made sure the wedding will be successful and everything will be perfect! I swear!" she smiled happily.
John caresses his wife's arms lovingly. "I'm glad to see you so happy like this, wife. I can marry you in the church every year if you want, I just love seeing you so happy like this," he said grinning from ear to ear.
"Wow! Marry you in the church every year—? That would be amazing! but no need really. Let's just celebrate our wedding anniversary in a romantic and secluded place every year, that's enough for me," she expresses her deepest wish.
John pinched his wife's cheeks playfully.
"Consider your wish granted my love! Every year we will celebrate our wedding anniversary in different locations in our country, we shall make beautiful picturesque memories year after year to celebrate our wonderful union," he agreed, feeling truly bless having Catherine as his wife. His wife is simple in so many ways, so easy to please and so loving and caring, she is a low maintenance woman, she never demands anything fabulous or expensive gifts from him even though he can always pamper her with anything she wants, but he doesn't want to give her something that she doesn't like and need because it might only gather dust in the corner, in short, Catherine is an ideal wife for him, the perfect partner for him. He was right in pursuing her no matter what the cost. Their married life is peaceful and filled with harmony, no major misunderstanding and no drama between them, compared to those times when they were still lovers which were full of problems and tribulations. Married life is good for them it ironed out all the kinks in their relationship and gave them a sense of happiness and contentment with each other.
John and Catherine locked eyes.
Right there inside the car, the couple shared a sizzling kiss that lasted for a few minutes.
Once again their actions speak louder—radiating how much they love each other.
