Chapter 119 - Parasite Brothers!

Caroline drives her car to the nearest shopping mall and does her grocery shopping.

Done shopping, she went to the fast-food area and ordered a take out food for the people back home, based on their request. She sat on the table waiting for the takeout food.

While waiting... she was recalling in her mind what had transpired in Alex's house a few hours earlier.

The horror she felt after seeing Greg up close and personal and knowing his illness makes her want to vomit, she wanted to put bleach on her mouth to get rid of Lucas's saliva inside in her mouth. She would brush her teeth ten times when she gets home later.

Damn Lucas for kissing her when he was a carrier of a contagious disease!

Grrrr!

After seeing Greg, she finally realized that she doesn't love him anymore.

This time, she can move on fully from her relationship with Greg and face the bright future ahead with Mike.

She unlocks her phone and blocked all Daniel's number stored in her phone.

Starting today, she has nothing to do with that parasite brothers!

Hmph! They're all parasites to her and she doesn't want to be associated with them ever again!

The waiter finally delivered the take out foods in her table, she exited the restaurant and went to the baggage section to get her grocery bags.

She puts down the grocery bags in the shopping cart and was now heading to the parking area.

After putting all the shopping bags inside the compartment of her car, she's ready to go home. She slid into the driver's seat, started the engine, and left the shopping mall's premises.

A few moments later she was already driving her car in the busy streets towards home.

When she finally arrived home, she instructed the housemaid to bring the shopping bag inside the house.

She brought the take out foods inside and handed them to her siblings and her mother, then she hurriedly went upstairs to her room to brush her teeth.

Inside the bathroom, she finished brushing her teeth ten times.

Satisfied, she stopped brushing and exited the bathroom.

She picked up her tablet from the bedside table and browse online on how HIV/AIDS can be transmitted to another person.

She began reading the article rapidly.

Oh God, thanks!

She was grateful because she read online that HIV/AIDS is not transmitted through touching hands, sharing food, hugging, insect bites, toilet seats, bathing, sneezes and coughs, sweat, swimming in the pool, and certainly not through kissing. However, HIV/AIDS can be transmitted through unprotected s.e.x, blood transfusion, pregnancy, non-sterile instruments, and using the same paraphernalia used by drug addicts carrier with HIV.

Huge relief washed over her after reading the article.

She nearly cried overwhelmed by profound gladness.

Earlier, while she was still inside the bas.e.m.e.nt after Lucas forcibly kissed her she was frightened that she will get infected with HIV.

She was grateful after reading the article.

She was having peace of mine now and ready to forget everything associated with those parasite brothers.

Caroline released a deep sigh of relief.

She turns off the tablet and exited the bedroom going downstairs to check on her daughter.

She found baby Cathy sleeping in the crib. She sat on the sofa and joined her mother. "What are your dishes for dinner, Mother?" she asked excitedly.

"I'm going to cook Crispy Fish Fillet and Pork Mung Bean Soup with Chinese Cabbage," Thelma answered.

"Wow! That sounds delicious, Mother! I can't wait for dinner!" Caroline exclaimed.

Thelma smiled while eating the rest of her apple pie.

They watched a day time soap opera on the television for one hour, then Thelma together with the housemaid went to the kitchen to prepare the ingredients for the dishes.

Caroline carried baby Cathy in her arms and brought her upstairs to her room.

Inside her bedroom.

Caroline placed her daughter in the center of the bed and power on her tablet to browse online, she checked her messaging app and saw several messages from Clara asking how are they doing and how is her granddaughter. Clara also sent several photos of her and Hector dining in a restaurant and walking in the beach hand in hand

Clara and Hector looked happy in the photos.

Caroline feels happy for them.

She smiled and browse on her favorite online shopping portal, she rarely orders online, she just wants to browse merchandises and get updated on what's the latest in the fashion industry.

Her phone was ringing, she answered the call.

"Sweetie...how are you?" Mike's voice echoed on the other line.

"I'm doing fine. Where are you?" she asked.

"I'm home, swimming in the pool. Are you ready for tomorrow? Our flight to Davao City is at 5:00 in the afternoon," he said.

"Yes. I will start packing my things later," she said.

"Okay, that's good. Would you like to go out with me tonight?" he asked.

"Where?" she asked, cause she's not in the mood to go anywhere.

"Nothing in particular, or we can watch a movie tonight, stroll in a park or dine in a fancy restaurant," he suggested. "How about you, do you have something in mind?" he asked.

"Ah, let's not go out tonight. Since we will have a flight tomorrow, we should just sleep early," she suggested.

"Alright, as you wish, sweetie. Eat plenty for dinner, I will text you later," he said and ended the call at his end.

Caroline put the phone down on the table.

She powers on the television and watched some local news.

One hour later.

There was knocking on the door and Jacob's voice echoed in the air. "Sister, dinner is ready!" he announced.

"Okay, I will come down in a minute," she answered.

She picked up baby Cathy and holds her in her arms going downstairs to eat supper with her family.

...

Back in Alex's mansion.

Allison, Lucas, and Alex were eating together in the dining room.

The atmosphere inside the dining room was depressing due to the recent events that happened during Caroline's visit.

Allison was eating with gusto because she instructed the cook to prepare her favorite dishes. Alex was also eating heartily loving the dishes which are all to his taste and likings.

Lucas was the only one who is not in the mood to eat. He was toying with his foods with his fork, he was only able to chew five spoon worth of rice and dishes. He simply can't bring himself to eat more and pretending that he had a great appetite because he was still reeling from the unpleasant scenario that took place earlier in the bas.e.m.e.nt.

Now all his plans were destroyed and Caroline will never come back to see him again. He was now regretting kissing her, he only made her angry.

Done toying with the foods on his plate, he stood up and left the dining room in silence.

Allison and Alex stared at each other's eyes.

"We need to talk about Lucas's situation," Allison said.

"We will discuss that, later. Let's finish eating our meal, first," Alex responded.

The siblings resumed eating in silence, avoiding the topic about Lucas and Caroline, for they will discuss it later.
