Chapter 166 - Steamy

The next day, afternoon.

Mike finally arrived at his place in Blue Bell Residence Condominium Building.

The door opened.

Mike entered the door, he was holding a bouquet of red roses on his left hand while holding his traveling bag in his right hand, he put the bag on the floor and handed the flowers to his wife.

"Sweetie!" he said smiling.

"Hubby!" Caroline ran into her husband's open arms almost crushing the delicate flowers.

Mike wrapped his arms around his wife. "I miss you!"

"I miss you more," she said and took the red roses from his hand. "I'm glad you're back."

Caroline went to the kitchen to arrange the flowers into the flower vase.

Mike carries his bag and brings it towards the bedroom. He rummaged the contents of the bag and put all his essentials in the bed then he dumped all his dirty clothes in the laundry basket and set aside the bag in the corner.

Done, he exited the bedroom going to the kitchen.

He found his wife on the kitchen counter, she was arranging the red roses in the flower vase, sporting a smile on her lips.

Caroline glanced at him. "Thank you for the flowers... they're fresh and beautiful," she commented.

"I'm glad you like it," he said.

Mike went to the table and settled on the chair. "What's for lunch?"

Caroline smiled. "I'm sorry...I didn't cook any dishes because I'm not in the mood for cooking. So... I just ordered dishes from the restaurant and have it delivered here," she apologized.

"It's okay sweetie, I understand. It must be very hard for you to let go of your baby daughter," he said sympathizing with her pain.

Caroline shrugged.

She's done arranging the flowers and set aside the flower vase. She joined her husband in the dining table and sat on the chair beside him.

She had already arranged the cutlery in the table.

"I only ordered three dishes, hope you like it," she said.

"Let me see..." Mike opened the lids of the ceramic serving bowl dishes and inspected the food, he smiled. "You just ordered my favorite dishes, sweetie. Let's eat...I'm starving!" he said. He began putting rice and a small portion of dishes on his plate.

"These Sweet and Sour Fish taste delicious!" he raves and chewed on the meat.

"The Pork Chops in a Creamy Mushroom Sauce is nice! Try it!" Caroline gushes.

Mike used the serving spoon and scooped Beef Caldereta into his plate. He put back the serving spoon on the bowl. He put a spoonful of the beef dish in his mouth. "Wow, the Caldereta is delicious! I love it!" he enthused.

Caroline took the serving spoon and put some on her plate. She tasted the Spicy Beef Caldereta. "It's creamy and savory and the beef is tender, just perfect!" she agreed.

The couple feasted on the mouthwatering dishes.

They only stopped eating after they're stomach was full.

Caroline rose to her feet and took the dessert from the fridge and brought it to the dining table.

"I also ordered the Mango Float... hubby. Try this," she said and put a slice on the platter and gave it to her husband.

Mike took a spoonful of the Mango Float and brought it to his mouth. "Wow, the taste is simply amazing! I love it, sweetie," he said.

A few minutes later.

Mike looked at his wife. "Do you want to go somewhere today? We have the whole afternoon and whole night to spare," he said.

"No need. We will travel to El Nido Palawan tomorrow morning. We should just rest early, pack our luggage, and just spend time together," she replied.

"Okay, as you say so, wifey. I'm okay going anywhere as long you're with me," he smiled adoringly at her.

Caroline responded with a sweet smile of her own.

Right now, she doesn't want to go out. Every second, minutes, and hour she spends with her husband counts. She has a few days left, it's gonna be hard but things have to happen one way or another.

After the honeymoon, she will leave his side. So right now, she will be stacking one year's worth of happy and sweet moments and wonderful memories with him.

After eating the desserts...

Caroline washed the dishes in the sink and Mike cleaned the table, then he retired in the living room to rest.

While washing the dishes, Caroline glances at the red petals of roses. The rose is a beautiful flower but its body is filled with thorns.

She likens herself to the roses, her life is full of trials and tribulations.

She wonders... when will this tragedy ever end?

She released a deep sigh. Right now her heart is feeling heavy, she wanted to cry. But she can't because her husband is in the house. He will ask her why? But she can always tell him that she's crying because of baby Cathy.

She misses her daughter already!

A few minutes later, she was done cleaning the kitchen. She took her phone from the pocket of her shorts and placed a call to her sister Catherine wanting to ask how her daughter was faring on her grandparents' side?

"Hello...Caroline..." Catherine's voice said.

"Sis... how's baby Cathy?" she asked right away.

"She's doing fine. She warms up to her granny and grandpa quickly. The couple doted on her and Cathy loves their attention. So far, they're doing fine," Catherine declared. "Let see in the coming days. I'll call you if something comes up concerning your daughter if she starts getting restless," she added.

"Thank God. I thought the couple was having a hard time with my daughter. I'm glad they like each other. It makes me feel at ease," Caroline said.

"How are you feeling, sis?" asked Catherine.

Caroline released a deep sigh. "Honestly, I'm struggling to cope up without my daughter by my side. But no worries, all these will soon pass away. I'll get used to it somehow. My feelings will surely improve in the coming days," she said.

"If you want someone to talk to, I'm just a phone call away," Catherine offered.

"Thank you, sis."

"So... when are you going to Palawan for the honeymoon?" asked Catherine.

"Tomorrow morning is our flight to Palawan. We'll stay there for five days," Caroline answered.

"Nice. Enjoy your honeymoon and have a good time with your husband. Don't worry about Cathy, she's in good hands."

"I will...After I come back from the honeymoon. We should get together sometimes," she suggested.

"You and I or the entire family included?" Catherine asked.

"You and I, we will go shopping and go to the salon for pampering. Then...we will have a gathering in my mother-in-law's house together with the whole family. How about that?" Caroline suggested.

"I love that!" Catherine said excitedly.

"Now, that's settled. I'll call you tomorrow after we arrived in Palawan," she said.

"Byeeee... sis!" Catherine said.

"Bye Cat..." Caroline responded.

Their conversation ended.

She put her phone back in the pocket of her shorts. She walked towards the living room and sat on the sofa beside her husband.

"Hubby, Catherine, and I just talked a while ago. We're planning to have a family get together at your mother's house. Do you think Mother Susan will agree?" she asked.

"Sure! That would be nice. My mother would love it," he answered.

Mike looked at her. "When do you want the family event to take place?"

"After we come back from the honeymoon," she answered.

"Okay, I'll inform, my mother about it." He was about to call her mother when he remembered that Hector and Clara were still around during that time.

"How about Hector and Clara?" he inquired.

"Don't worry about them, we will only hold the family gathering after they fly back to their place. By the time our honeymoon in Palawan is over, Uncle and Auntie were already back to Thailand," she explained.

"Alright..." he resumed placing a call to her mother.

Mike put the phone on his ear.

Susan's voice can be heard on the other line. "Hello.. son."

"Mom, I have good news for you...Catherine and Caroline are planning to hold a family gathering event at our house. Will you agree to the event?" he asked.

"Sure! I love events like that! I love family gathering the most!" Susan answered. "Tell them not to worry about a thing. I'll have everything covered... from foods... planning and etcetera," she said.

"Okay, Mom. Thank you," Mike said with a wide smile. "Bye Mom, I'll call you later," he said.

"Bye son...give my regards to Caroline," Susan said.

"I will, she's beside me right now. We're currently in the living room watching TV. Bye Mom," he said and ended the call.

Mike put his phone in the center table and looked at his wife. "Happy?" he asked her.

Caroline smiled brightly. "Yes, very much!" she responded.

She embraced him and rested her head on his chest, enjoying his manly warmth.

"You want to go to the bedroom?" He winked at her.

Caroline glances at his face, she raised her brows. "Oh, don't tell me your feeling horny?"

Mike smirked. "I am..." he whispered huskily.

"Catch me if you can!" Caroline giggled and sprinted towards the bedroom.

Mike turn off the TV instantly and bolted after his wife, laughing.

Caroline jumped into the bed erupting into peals of laughter.

Mike climbs the bed and shifted his body on top of her, trapping her between the sheets and his hard masculine body.

Mike lowered his mouth and claimed his wife's lips.

They shared a passionate kiss.

When they're done kissing...

"Why don't we take a shower together?" he suggested naughtily.

Caroline's eyes sparkled. "I love that! Let's do it!"

The couple went inside the bathroom.

A few minutes later...

The sound of water splashing inside the bathroom can be heard outside the bathroom.

The couple was laughing and giggling.

Then Caroline's loud e.r.o.t.i.c m.o.a.ning can be heard followed by Mike's panting and grunting.

The couple engaged in steamy s.e.x inside the bathroom.
