Chapter 176 - Bonding

The following day.

After eating breakfast, the couple dressed up to go to the nearest mall for grocery shopping. Caroline already made a list of all the stuff they need to buy, just to make sure they didn't miss anything.

They left their home and enter the elevator going down to the ground floor. They went to the parking area of the building and entered Mike's car.

A few minutes later, the couple's car was already traveling going to the nearest mall.

They arrived at the mall twenty-five minutes later.

After parking the car in the parking area, the couple entered the entrance of the mall and proceed towards the grocery section.

Mike took a pushcart and they begin grocery shopping.

The couple was having fun putting stuff they needed in the pushcart such as tissue, alcohol, cooking oil, canned food, coffee, a.d.u.l.t milk, fruit juice, soda drinks, and etcetera. Finished with the dry goods they went to the wet section of the grocery store and picked up fish, ham, bacon, vegetables, eggs, pork, chicken, beef, and fruits to the shopping cart.

One hour and thirty minutes later they have two carts filled with stuff, it's one week worth of grocery supply.

"Anything else, sweetie?" Mike asked her wife while inspecting the stuff they put in the cart.

Caroline shook her head. "We already have gotten everything in my list in the pushcart," she answered.

"Alright, if there's nothing else then we will head now to the cashier section and pay our groceries," Mike said.

"Okie Dokie," Caroline replied.

They went to the cashier's section and lined up.

When it's already their turn, Caroline began putting the grocery items in the cashier's table and Mike gave the cashier his debit card.

Finished paying their groceries, they left the grocery store.

Mike looked at his wife. "Do you want to stroll in the mall, sweetie?" he offered.

Caroline shook her head. "No. Let's just go straight home and cuddle," she whispered and winked at him.

Mike grinned in anticipation. "I love your suggestion, sweetie," he replied naughtily.

They went to the parking area of the mall and loaded their shopping bag in the compartment of Mike's car.

Done loading everything, they're ready to go home.

A few minutes later, Mike navigated his car out of the mall's parking area, he steered the car to the busy highway, going towards Blue Bell Residences.

After half an hour, the couple arrived at their destination. They brought their shopping bags to the elevator and pressed the 15th-floor button.

The couple emerged from the elevator and opened the door to their flat.

They brought the shopping bags to the kitchen area. Mike put the dry goods on the cupboard while Caroline put all the meat, fruits, and veggies inside the fridge.

Done putting everything to their rightful place, Mike retired into the living room while Caroline was making a four seasons fruit juice in the pitcher.

Done, she brought the pitcher and glasses on the tray and brought it in the living room.

She lowered the tray into the center table and pours the refreshing liquid into the glass up to the brim and gave it to her husband.

Mike accepted the glass and drink the juice.

Caroline poured the juice into her glass and lowered herself on the sofa beside her husband.

"What are you watching, hubby?" she inquired looking at the TV screen.

"It's a one-hour doc.u.mentary about leather and how it was made in a factory, how it's stored, the numerous products produced from leather, where it's delivered and who are the consumers," Mike answered his wife's inquiries without taking his eyes off the screen.

"Ah, okay," she said.

Caroline watched the video for thirty minutes, it's an interesting and informative doc.u.mentary. "Hubby, I'm going to get a shower. Enjoy the rest of the doc.u.mentary," she said.

"Okay, sweetie. I'll join you later in the bedroom," he winked suggestively at her.

Her head leaned down leveled to his mouth and she planted a quick kiss on his lips.

Then she sauntered towards the bedroom.

Inside the room, she picked up black s.e.xy lingerie from the closet and entered the bathroom.

She runs the shower and enjoyed the water cascading down her n.a.k.e.d body. She lathers her whole body with the perfume smelling liquid bath soap.

Fifteen minutes later, she was done pampering herself under the shower, feeling refreshed and satisfied, she left the bathroom and began drying and brushing her hair.

Done, she went to the bed, lie down, while waiting for her husband.

After ten minutes, the door opened and Mike entered the room closing the door behind him.

He will ask for sure but she will never reveal to him the reason why once he knows he will send her to jail.

When the time comes that he would get cold and ignores her, she will stay by his side and endure his cold treatment no matter how painful it is.

There will be a moment of awkwardness between them, she will just have to stay strong and enforce her determination to get back onto his good side.

She will endure his anger, hi suspicion, and everything that he will throw at her, she believes that sooner or later he will warm up to her and accept her again.

She already has a solid plan in mind. She hopes that destiny won't be so cruel on her when she finally returns to her husband's side trying to rebuild their relationship once again from scratch.
