The next day.
Two hours after breakfast, Alex's entourage went to the pool area and made a splash in the water. The children love it very much, then they also tried the lazy river lying on the rafts on their backs which is pretty much relaxing.
They have so much fun in the water.
During lunch, they chose to eat their meals inside a picnic hut floating in the river. Then after lunch, they enjoy splashing in the water wearing their life jacket.
It was a very memorable occasion in their lives, they got to bond with each other.
A two days fantastic event, filled with laughter and merriment. Beautiful memories were created that could fill up an entire photo album.
Before their vacation in the theme parks was over, they were planning to do it again three months later.
After lunch.
Before going home, Alex's entourage visited the one-kilometre wide botanical garden, a special attraction of the 15-hectare theme park. The garden was divided into three categories, there is a section for flowering plants, ornamental and exotic plants.
The garden offered a tranquil atmosphere for everyone who visited it.
The group sits down on the bench facing the flowering plants and enjoys the beauty of the multitude of flowers blooming everywhere.
"Such a beautiful place!" Greg murmured to himself and closed his eyes in complete surrender to the healing power of nature.
"Indeed!" Alex agreed and did the same, surrendering to nature's blessing.
They savored the invigorating moment as the gentle wind caressing their skin. They were surrounded by trees everywhere, providing them a refreshing feeling as they bonded with nature.
Alex glanced at his brother. "Do you still wish to stay in the beach house? Are you not going home?"
Greg opened his eyes. "Ah, you missed my company, brother?"
"Sort of," Alex shrugged. His youngest brother was his only living relative.
"Don't worry...how about this... I will stay in your house in the city for two weeks, and then I'll go back to the beach house for two weeks," Greg suggested.
Alex smiled. "That's better than nothing," he agreed. He stood up, looking at his wristwatch, then he addressed his entourage. "Okay, guys, time for us to go home. Wait...let me ask this question first, are you happy with your stay here in the park?" he asked them.
"Yesssssss!" the children were shrieking in happiness.
"Let's have Part 2...Part 2... Part 2!" the a.d.u.l.ts shouted.
Alex grinned. "No problem! Let's come back here after two or three months," he declared.
"Hooray!" the girls exclaimed in glee.
The a.d.u.l.ts clapped their hands in happiness. They were excited for their grand return to this place that had given them a lot of beautiful memories that are worth remembering for years to come.
"Okay, let's all go back to the hotel and packed our things. Our bus is already waiting for us," Alex said.
Everyone strolled the concrete pathway going back to the hotel. They went to their respective hotel suite and started packing their bags. After done packing, they check-out from the hotel and went to the parking lot. They boarded the mini-bus that Alex had rented for the special occasion.
The journey back to the city takes three hours.
The a.d.u.l.ts were closing their eyes dozing off, while the children were busy staring through the window, looking at the scenic countryside.
Alex glanced at his brother, Greg, who was playing a mobile game on his phone to pass time. He checked his phone for emails and read the report from the guy he hired to tail Caroline. The couple is in the hospital for three days. Caroline finally gives birth to a healthy baby boy and girl. The whole family visited the hospital. The twins were adorable. Caroline was discharged from the maternity hospital after three days. The photos were taken in the hospital and outside, then some of the photos were taken during their arrival back to their home in Blue Bell Residences.
Alex looked at the photos of Caroline and Mike holding each of the twins in their arms. Caroline's face radiated with happiness, and so was her husband. They're a picture of a perfect couple. A sudden feeling of envy surged in Alex's mind.
He released a deep sigh, trying to calm himself. He closed his eyes tightly. Although he holds the card that can bring back Caroline to their side, it's the last thing that he will ever do. Forcing someone to stay by his side using the blackmail method is against his principle.
His sister already died because of it, and not only that, Allison also killed several people just to control Caroline.
He will never do something crazy like that. He gives Caroline freedom because it's the right thing to do during that time.
There is one thing he can't understand himself, though. He should have stopped sending people to spy on the couple. It's becoming like an obsession to him. Although he was not doing anything bad to the couple still, it's an invasion of privacy.
But what can he do?
He feels happy every time he will see new photos of Caroline, whether she was just strolling in the lobby of the building where the couple was residing or whether she goes grocery shopping. They were simple photos, but they brought him extra happiness. Any news and photos of her were like drugs that can give him a different kind of high.
He was addicted to her, always been.
But he knows that at some point in time, he should stop tolerating this kind of madness and obsession. It's no longer healthy. It's damaging to his mental and emotional health.
And the only way to redeem his sanity is to stop his obsession.
Of course, he will stop at some point.
But not right now, he still craves the happiness he felt every time he received new photos of Caroline.
He put his phone back in his backpack and closed his eyes. It's a long ride going home, he's feeling sleepy and starts dozing off.
Three hours and half an hour later.
The mini-bus finally arrived at Allison's mansion. Owen, the nannies, and the children exited the bus together with their belongings.
"Bye, kids!" Alex and Greg said in unison.
"Bye, Uncle!" the children replied.
Alex and Greg waved at them while the bus was moving out of the gate and fading away from the mansion.
The bus arrived at Alex's mansion half an hour later.
The men exited the vehicle with their backpacks and carried their luggage into the house, then entered their separate room to rest after a tiring journey.

The following day.
At exactly 8:30 in the morning. Alex was greeted by a piece of good news from the lawyer who handled his annulment with Nicole.
"Congrats, Daniel! My friend, the presiding judge who hears and decides on your annulment case with your estranged wife has finally granted the marriage null and void. It's currently being reviewed in the Solicitor General (SolGen) for the final stage of evaluation and approval. We will be receiving the final result soon," the lawyer said cheerfully.
"Thank you so much for your hard work, Attorney! You will get a bonus soon!" Alex said happily.
"Thank you in advance for the bonus! I will also inform Nicole about the good news. Talk to you soon. Bye, Daniel," the lawyer replied.
"Bye, Attorney," Alex said.
The men ended their conversation in a jubilant mood.
