One year later.
Thursday.
Rudy and Greg have been swimming in the ocean for three hours straight as the sun was getting hotter up in the sky. The sea was calm and the weather was nice.
The beach looks like a paradise, everything is pristine and tranquil.
The men left the water and they went back to the sun lounger located on the beachfront.
"Where do you want to eat lunch, Sir?" Rudy asked.
"Just bring the food here. I want to eat here while looking at the ocean," Greg replied.
"Okay, I'll get the food from the house," Rudy said. He rose to his feet and sauntered towards the house. He can already smell the aroma of the dishes that the housemaid had prepared for lunch.
When he entered the house, Saling was already putting the last dish on the basket.
"Lunch is ready!" Saling said.
"Thank you," Rudy smiled and picked up the basket. He exited the house and went back to the beachfront.
He arranged the food on the wooden table which consisted of seafood and vegetable dishes, then they began eating.
Half an hour later, they finished eating.
Rudy put back their dirty dishes in the basket. He glanced at his ward. "Do you want to paint today?" he asked. "I will bring your painting tools here," he offered.
Greg nodded his head. "Yes please," he replied.
"Okay." Rudy carries the picnic basket and strolled towards the house.
He entered the house and deposited the picnic basket in the kitchen for Saling to clean. Then he went back to the living room and gathered the painting tools. He exited the house and went back to the beachfront where his ward was waiting.
Greg assembled his painting tools in the ground. He began mixing paint in the palette. He stared at the horizon first and began outlining the blazing sun in the blank canvass.
A few minutes later, he was already lost in his painting activity as his hands were busy adding shade to his masterpiece.
Five hours later, the beautiful sunset began and Greg was able to capture it in his canvass. He was able to finish two paintings that day.
He smiled proudly at his masterpieces. He looked at Rudy. "Do you know what these two painting means?" he asked him.
Rudy shook his head. "I dunno, Sir...care to explain to me?"
Greg smiled and looked at the canvass with the blazing sun. "This painting of the blazing sun signifies our life at its prime..." he replied.
"Ah...I see..." Rudy murmured. "How about the sunset?"
Greg released a deep sigh, his eyes have a certain withdrawn quality to it. "Sunset is when people die and going back to the darkness of the night to rest for eternity," he said in a gloomy voice. His face was devoid of emotion.
Rudy didn't see the lifeless quality of Greg's eyes coz his gaze was drawn to the haunting painting on the canvass. It has an eerie quality to it. The sun was beautifully drawn with its orange hues giving it a dramatic look but he doesn't like the blackness surrounding the sun, it's too dark.
They stayed on the beach for another hour.
Then the evening comes. The men left the beach and went back to the house.
After eating dinner, they retire early for the night.

Friday.
Alex was visiting the property that he just purchased recently. It's located at Evergreen Hill, a posh subdivision for the few wealthy individuals. It's a five-kilometer area situated at the top of the flattened mountain overlooking the ocean.
The owner sold the property in a hurry because his business was on the verge of bankruptcy and he needed money to sustain his living condition.
The two-story house has a splendid design. It's already fully furnished and ready for occupancy. Alex pitied the owner, so he refunded him with the expenses of the modern appliances that were arranged meticulously all over the house. It's a good thing that he also likes the interior and exterior design of the house, so he opted not to change anything.
Alex went into the terrace and stared at the wide ocean below the hill, from where he was standing, the view was fantastic! It took his breath away.
He would bring his brother here next week and also the children.
He was lucky to own this spectacular property, the amazing view is worth a million. The panoramic scenery produced a sense of calmness in his heart.
He will be here until tomorrow afternoon...
So there's no rush to go home. He might as well enjoy the view and relaxed. He sat on the sofa and enjoyed the mesmerizing ocean view.
The view would be ten times nicer if he has something to drink. He left the terrace and went to the kitchen to get his favorite wine.
He returned to the terrace holding the bottle and wine glass and placed them on the center table. He poured the wine into the glass and began sipping the red liquid while enjoying the beautiful scenery around him.
He was in that position when Caroline's pretty face suddenly appeared in his mind. He smiled for a moment. If she will see this place, she will surely love to stay here.
Then he was silent for a moment, no longer surprised that he keeps thinking of her nowadays. His forbidden feelings for her should not flourish at all. But he was powerless to stop his feelings.
Sometimes, he is going crazy just thinking about her. He knew that it was only a one-sided love. He was a hopeless romantic
fantasizing about a married woman. It would be impossible for them to be together since she was a happily married woman.
But why the hell he can't forget about her!?
He did try hard, but he just can't!
He was free to find another woman because his marriage to Nicole was already annulled several months ago.
But why other women can't attract his attention? His heart always navigates towards that face of certain someone who is already owned by another man.
He must be crazy!
That night, at 10:00 in the evening, Alex retired to the master's bedroom. By 11:00, he was already falling asleep soundly.

Meanwhile... at Allison's beach house.
It rains heavily the whole night. Rudy and Saling were already sleeping in their rooms, except for Greg.
At midnight. Greg went out of his bedroom and exited the house undetected, going to the beachfront. The surrounding area of the house was dark and damp due to the heavy rain.
Greg advances into the turbulent water, with only one thought running in his mind.
He smiled bitterly, looked heavenward, and took a plunge in the cold turbulent water.
