John went home that night in high spirits. He achieved his purpose.
Catherine assessed her husband's countenance, trying to read his thoughts. "Hubby, have you succeeded in convincing your brother to reconcile with my sister?" she asked eagerly.
"Yes!" John said.
"That's great!" Catherine said happily.
"Now, you have to do your part, wife. Try to convince your sister to make up with my brother for the sake of their children!" he said.
"Okay, I'll do that!" Catherine replied cheerfully.
"Ask for your mother's help. It's now up to Caroline if she wants her marriage to be saved. It's very hard to convince my brother, let's not put it to waste," he said.
"Alright, I understand. Don't worry, I will call my mother right now," Catherine replied. She left the living room and instructed the maid to watch over the children while she calls her mother. She went to the pool area and call her mother from there.
Thelma's voice came in the line. "Daughter...any news from your sister? The last time she called me... that was one week ago... It was a short conversation and she still hasn't told me when she will come back to her husband," she said.
Catherine sighed. "Mother, please listen...my husband just had a conversation with Caroline's husband a while ago. Mike agreed to reconcile with Caroline for one month and see if they still have a future together. Mother, this is my twin's last chance to save her marriage, let's work together to convince Caroline to give their relationship another try before it's too late! I'm sure this reunion will save their marriage!" she said enthusiastically.
"That's good! Let me try calling your sister now, I hope I can talk to her and put some sense in her stubborn mind! I'll call you later if there's a good result after I'm done talking to her," Thelma said. "Bye, daughter!"
"Good luck, Mother! Byeeee!" Catherine said. She put her phone in the center table and recited a prayer to God for her twin sister, hoping that Caroline will come to her senses and agree to the reconciliation.
'Dear God, please have mercy on the couple and clear their minds and cleanse their souls. Hoping that my sister will agree to come back home and fixed her marital problems with her husband,' she prayed fervently to God.
Done praying in solitude, she reached for her phone and began typing messages for Caroline explaining everything to her...hoping she will agree to the reconciliation and try living with her family again for one month.
She was able to compose five long text messages and sent them one by one. She will just make a follow-up call to Caroline after her Mother had a successful conversation with her twin.
She left the pool area going back to her husband and children.

Evergreen Hill.
Caroline has just finished her dinner and was washing the dirty dishes when her phone starts ringing. She wiped her hands with the kitchen towel and picked up her phone. The call was from her mother Thelma.
"Mother..."
"Caroline... I have good news for you! Catherine told me that your husband is willing to accept you back for one month and see where the situation will go after. You have to grab this chance, daughter! Come back home to your family! Your husband needs you. Your children need you! What are you waiting for...pack your bags and return home!" Thelma talked rapidly without breaks wanting to get everything out of her system.
Caroline sighed and rolled her eyes. "Calm down, Mother. My husband doesn't need me because he had a mistress. As for my children, I'm sure they needed me. I miss them so much!" she replied emotionally.
"Exactly! If you miss your children come back home to your family! Don't wait that your husband will change her mind and no longer reconcile with you! This is your last chance to repair the damage to your marriage. You and Mike will forgive each other and try to fix the crack in your marriage. Daughter, you had to do it, for the sake of your children. Please take pity on them! They are still too young to lose their mother!" Thelma continues.
Caroline sat on the chair and stared at the window in the kitchen.
"Daughter...why are you not answering me!?" Thelma said.
"Mother, it's hard to come back to my husband...we can never go back to the way we are before we separated. He already had a mistress!" Caroline insisted.
"Daughter, you have to forgive your husband! You have to forgive each other and start all over again. Stop being selfish and think only for yourself, remember that you have two babies, they needed their mother's love and care when they are growing up. How can you be so heartless and cruel to your children!?" Thelma scolded her.
Caroline bit her lower lip as tears flooded her eyes.
"Daughter, I never ask you for anything. I will beg you one last time, return to your family! Fix your marriage before it's too late. Just try for one month, please! After one month...if you and Mike can't still settle your differences and decided to go your separate ways then I will respect your decision. Just try for one month, that's all I asked from you. I'm doing this for your children, pity your babies!" Thelma said, she was already sobbing on the phone.
Caroline released a deep sigh. "Mother, stop crying..." She was worried that her mother might get sick and hospitalized because she refused to go home.
A few minutes of silence took over as both mother and daughter were crying silently.
Caroline breathed deeply and wiped the tears in her eyes. "Alright, tell Mike...I'm coming home to Blue Bell Residences this Friday," she finally said.
"Oh, God! Thank you so much, daughter! I will tell them that you're finally coming back!" Thelma can't contain her happiness. "We missed you so much! Please don't disappear again!" Thelma said.
"Okay, Mother. Please don't cry anymore." Caroline begged her mother to stop crying.
"Daughter...please don't ever change your mind!" Thelma pleaded.
"Don't worry, Mother. I won't change my mind. I'm coming home this Friday..." Caroline said.
"Okay, bye daughter! You take care of yourself," Thelma said and ended the call.
Caroline then read her sister's text messages. Catherine has the same message for her, urging her to come back home because Mike is willing to reconcile with her for one month.
She was about to finish cleaning the kitchen when her phone rang again, this time the caller was no other than her twin sister, Catherine.
"Hello...sis..."
"Caroline...is it true? Mother told me that you're finally going home this coming Friday?" Catherine asked.
"Yes, you heard it right, sis," Caroline uttered her confirmation.
"Wow, thank God! I'm glad that you are finally willing to save your marriage with Mike and give it another try. Please do your best, sister. Try fixing your problem with your husband," Catherine said.
"Okay, I understand what you are trying to tell me, sister. Don't worry... I'm coming home. I'll call you this Friday," Caroline said.
"Looking forward to seeing you again, sister! Take care of yourself. Bye..." Catherine bid goodbye to her twin. She's very much excited to tell her husband the good news. She exited the bedroom.
