Chapter 303 - Oh My!

One week later.

The couple's treatment of each other reverted to the first day of their reconciliation.

Caroline was getting tired of Mike's cold treatment of her. She no longer cares about his mood swing anymore, instead, she focused her whole energy on caring for her children.

She was suffering from mental and emotional stress all the time, it's not that she had power over her dreams. She's not even thinking of Alex on that night that Mike slapped her face. It was just a slipped off her tongue and she was not conscious when those words came out of her mouth.

She does admit that it's a fatal blow on Mike's ego.

Dammit! Why everything is going downhill in her life right now?

Why can't she have long-lasting happiness?

Why?

She's folding the baby's clothes and putting them in the closet when she suddenly feels dizziness... then she felt an urge to vomit. She runs to the bathroom and vomited there. She has already experienced dizziness in the past few days, she blamed it on her lack of sleep and her mental and emotional problem lately.

Then suddenly she gets out of the bathroom and looked at the calendar in alarm...OMG!...she just remembered that she missed her period.

Shiiiiit!

C-could it be that...oh no!...she is pregnant? Pregnant with Alex's child?

Those thoughts made her weak on her knees. She sprinted to the bed and sat on it. Her body trembled in fear and shock!

No! Please...no! She can't afford this pregnancy it will ultimately destroy her marriage to Mike!

"God...please help me!" she prayed over and over again.

She needs to buy a pregnancy test! Right now!

But she can't instruct the maids to buy it for her, they might report to her mother-in-law that she was buying a pregnancy test. She's not sure yet!

Her heart and mind were racing!

She closed her eyes, panicking about what to do! She can't leave the house to buy one! But she needs to buy one! What to do!?

She was tapping her fingers on the bed wracking her brain on what to do?

She needs to act fast now! She needs someone to buy it for her! So that she will know her real condition.

She has two people in mind to reach for help...Catherine and Alex!

She can't ask her twin, she might tell her husband about it. She knew that Catherine can't keep a secret from her husband!

Sighing, she only has one choice left... Alex!

She immediately placed a call to Alex.

"Hello Caroline..." Alex said.

"Alex I need your help!" she said in a hurry.

"What is it?"

"I want you to buy me a pregnancy test! Make it appear like online delivery, I want it to be delivered today! Send it here in Blue Bell Residences. I'll be waiting in the living room to receive it," Caroline ordered.

There was a short pause at the other line.

"If you are pregnant, it's gonna be my child, Caroline!" Alex said.

Caroline sighed. "Y-yes!"

"And what are you planning to do with my child?" Alex asked in a tense voice.

Caroline has no idea, she doesn't know how to answer him yet.

"Please answer me!" Alex demanded.

"I honestly don't know right now," Caroline answered in confusion, tears glistening in her eyes.

"Don't ever think of aborting my child! I won't allow it! I know that you don't love me. But I'm begging you...please allow our baby to live! I'm willing to give you everything...money, properties...anything you want...I can give it to you. Just give birth to our baby and after that, you can go back to your husband. I won't stand your way. Please... pity our child!" Alex begged her.

Caroline sighed. "Just send the pregnancy test today and I will decide later...after it's already confirmed that I'm indeed carrying your child. I will call you after I got the pregnancy test result," she assured him.

"Okay, I will have one of my men delivered it to your house in a matter of minutes," Alex said.

"Bye Alex!" Caroline said and put an end to their conversation. She exited the bedroom and went to the living room to check on her children.

Meanwhile in Alex's office.

He informed his secretary that he will go home early today. He will sign the doc.u.ments that needed his signature tomorrow morning.

After learning that Caroline might be pregnant with his child, he was overjoyed and at the same time deeply worried that she might abort their baby. Mike will never allow his wife to carry another man's child inside their marital house. It will be a severe blow on his pride! Worst, he might pressure Caroline in aborting their baby so that they will continue living as husband and wife.

That is what he feared the most! He will die if Caroline agreed to have their baby aborted. He can't bear it! He does have a Plan B in his mind. If Caroline will abort the baby, he has no option but to kidnap Caroline and put her in a secure place so that she can't harm their baby.

He doesn't want to do it, but if things will get worse, he has no choice but to execute her plan!

He exited his office going to buy a pregnancy test kit from the drug store nearby. He will have one of his trusted men to deliver it to Blue Bell Residences.

One hour and thirty minutes later.

Caroline was waiting for the delivery. Her waiting finally ended. The doorbell rang, she immediately opened the door. She saw a guy wearing a baseball cap on his head and sunglasses.

"Delivery for Caroline Ramirez, Ma'am!" he said. And handed a paper for her to sign her signature.

"I'll take it," Caroline said and signed the paper with her signature. "Thank you," she said.

"You're welcome, Ma'am!" said the guy and walked away going back to the elevator.

Caroline closed the door. She looked at Guada. "Take care of the babies..." she said.

"Yes, Ma'am!" Guada replied.

Caroline sauntered towards the master's bedroom and once she's inside, she locked the door to make sure no one can get inside and disturb her while she was conducting the pregnancy test inside the bathroom.

She entered the bathroom and locked herself inside.

She hurriedly opened the parcel and found two pregnancy test kit inside the box. She sat on the bowl and pee. Then she conducted the pregnancy test by dropping some of her urine on the test tube.

She waited for a few minutes. She closed her eyes as her heart was beating faster on her rib cage. She was terrified of seeing the result...

"God...please let it be negative!" she prayed hard to God.

She finally gained the courage to check the result...and...her eyes widened...two lines were color red...which means she was pregnant!

She froze.

Her body went cold! No!

This must be a mistake!

She took the other pregnancy test kit and peed again on the toilet bowl and repeated the same process. She needs a second opinion. If the result is two red lines again then she was indeed pregnant with Alex's baby!

Ten minutes later.

Caroline was afraid to check the test kit. In the end, she checked it bravely and the result was the same as the first one.

Damn! She's indeed pregnant with Alex's baby!

Her entire world was collapsing! Tears sprang in her eyes.

Suddenly, her phone rang... the caller was no other than Alex! He's so quick!

She answered his call. "Hello...Alex..."

"Did you have the result already?" he asked her, there was urgency in his voice.

"Yes... the result is positive. I'm carrying your baby," she said in a low voice.

"Wow! I'm so happy right now! What is your plan for the baby? Please answer me...!" he demanded.

Caroline sighed. "I will give birth to the baby, no matter what the consequences," she finally musters the courage to lie to him. She was planning to abort the baby if Mike demanded it.

"Oh, God! Thank you so much!" Alex said happily.

"Let's end this conversation now, I will call you some other day," she told him.

"Okay, I'll wait for your call. Please take care of yourself and take care of our baby," he said happily, he was floating on cloud 9 after receiving the good news.

"Bye Alex!" Caroline said and ended the call. She disposed of the pregnancy test result in the trash can and exited the bathroom to lie in bed for a few minutes while analyzing her situation thoroughly.
