Chapter 326 - Kiss!

Two weeks later.

The backyard of Alex's mansion, where the swimming pool area was located was turned magically into a beach, complete with lounge chairs, wide umbrellas, barbecue, and ice cream stand. A long table was set up, laden with 15 types of delicious dishes, including sweets and desserts. Refreshing unlimited drinks were being served as well, and a lot more.

Chairs and tables were arranged, scattered throughout the backyard.

Visitors start arriving at 10:00 in the morning. Some of them were already wearing their beach attire.

The majority of the visitors were composed of Alex's close friends from the business circle, trusted employees, and relatives from his adoptive father's side. Owen and his entourage were also present on the happy occasion, including the sisters from the orphanage.

On Caroline's side, it's just her mother, her siblings, and Catherine. They are the only ones she invited. Catherine brought along her twins, two maids, and the driver Ramon.

Caroline understood why John refused to come to the party because Mike was his sibling. She was already satisfied with Catherine's presence - they were able to enjoy the party with the family.

A total of 100 people attended the party - the majority are from Alex's side.

After lunch, besides the beaming Caroline and their twins, Alex made his speech. He holds the mic in front of his mouth.

"Thank you, everyone, for coming to the party. I am proud to introduce to you, my beautiful family. Standing beside me is my soon to be wife, Caroline, together with our daughter Jasmine and our son Gabriel. I love my family so much! They are the source of my happiness, the reason I woke up every day! They completed me! In three months, we will get married in church. I will send everyone a wedding invitation. Let's celebrate again at the wedding venue, soon!" he said enthusiastically.

Cheers of applause erupted from the visitors. "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" they chanted again and again.

Caroline's eyes glistened with tears. She was overwhelmed by the feeling of profound happiness.

Alex kissed his beloved woman's lips.

After the kiss, Alex handed the microphone to his wife. "It's now your turn to say something to them..." he whispered.

Caroline took the mic in her hands and uttered her short speech. "Thank you for coming, guys! Your presence today makes this happy occasion a special and memorable one. We appreciated it very much! Let's continue the party!" she roared jovially.

The crowd rewarded the couple with thunderous applause. And afterward, chanted again. "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"

Alex and Caroline kissed on the lips, amused.

The crowd erupted in joyous cheers and laughter.

Alex took back the mic. "Let's continue the party, guys! For those who love singing, we have karaoke ready in the gazebo, waiting for your heavenly voice. Enjoy yourselves!"

The host of the party took over and started the games.

Hilarious and thrilling parlor games such as balloon pop games were held and entertained everyone. The visitors were reduced to tears due to so much laughing. Alex and Caroline participated in several parlor games to the delight of everyone.

After the monetary prices were given to the winners, everyone flocked to the pool area and made a splash into the sparkling water. To avoid making the pool crowded, Alex rented two more portable pools, including a children's mini-slide to accommodate everyone.

The children enjoyed the mini-slide so much together with their nannies, their mommies, and daddies.

The people were busy taking photos of themselves in various poses.

The party lasted until 7:00 in the evening and ended with a bang!

The servants ignited the dazzling fireworks that brightened the sky for five minutes.

The fireworks that exploded in the sky are magical to behold!

Everyone looked at the sky, busy taking photos and videos.

After the fireworks display, everyone is ready to go home. They changed into their dry casual clothes, gathered their belongings, and put them in the trunks of their car.

The couple bid farewell to each of the visitors, feeling happy and pleased that everyone was having a good time.

Catherine was the last one to bid goodbye to the couple.

Alex looked at Catherine. "Sister in law, I hope you enjoyed the party," he said.

Catherine smiled brightly. "Yes! It was fun! I truly enjoyed it! Thanks for inviting me. We're going home now. Bye... guys!" she replied.

"Glad to know that," Alex said. "Bye..." he responded.

"Bye, sis!" Caroline said.

Catherine boarded the car, and Ramon started the engine.

A few minutes later, Catherine's vehicle was already exiting the gate.

Caroline looked at her mother and her siblings. "Mother, Alex will send you home," she said.

"Okay," Thelma replied.

Alex opened the passenger door of his car. Thelma, Lily, Jacob, and the maid boarded the car.

Alex slid into the driver's seat and started the engine. He waved at his wife.

"Drive safely!" Caroline said.

"I will!" replied Alex.

The vehicle moved and exited the gate.

Caroline entered the house and went to the second floor to take care of the twins.

Meanwhile, inside the moving car.

"Alex, thank you so much for taking good care of my daughter and the twins," Thelma said in a grateful voice.

Alex smiled. "Mother, don't mention it. It's my pleasure to take good care of Caroline and our children. It's my great fortune to meet your daughter in my lifetime. I've been waiting for someone like her in my life. Now that I finally found her, I will make sure that her life with me is full of happiness, and our relationship harmonious. I promise to you that she's the only woman I'm going to love for the rest of my life," he concluded.

Lily giggled. "Aww...you're so sweet, Uncle! You're so romantic! My sister Caroline is so lucky to have a husband like you," she commented.

Alex grinned. "Thanks for flattering me, sister-in-law!" he said.

Thelma smiled brightly. She was satisfied with Alex's declaration of love for her daughter. It made her feel at ease. "Thank you, Alex. Your sincere love and genuine devotion towards my daughter made me feel happy and assured that my daughter and grandchildren are in good hands."

"Caroline is worth loving, Mother, so rest assured I will take good care of them all my life," Alex assured her.

"Thank you. I hope my daughter is not giving you any problems," Thelma said.

"Nah, Caroline is a hands-on mother to our children. She is easy to please, doesn't nag at me, and she took care of me. We seldom quarrel. We are a kindred spirit, therefore, our relationship is harmonious. She never gives me any problem, and I'm thankful for that," Alex replied.

Jacob gave her brother-in-law a thumb-up. "You're awesome, Uncle! I'm impressed!" he said.

"Thank you for the compliment, little bro!" Alex grinned.

A few minutes later.

Alex's car entered the entrance of the Eastwood Subdivision. They proceed to Thelma's house and parked outside.

After getting out of the car, they waved at Alex.

"Bye, Alex, drive safely!" Thelma said.

"Bye, Uncle!" Lily and Jacob spoke in unison.

"Bye, guys!" Alex replied cheerfully and drove the car back to the entrance of the subdivision

Thelma and her entourage entered the house to retire for the night.

"Wow, Uncle Alex's house is huge, just like Auntie Susan's house!" Jacob exclaimed. "And his swimming pool is nice!" he raved.

"I like Uncle's beautiful garden full of red and yellow roses! I want to have a beautiful garden like that one day!" Lily enthused.

"Okay, children, let's rest!" Thelma said, going straight to the stairs to rest for the night.
