Chapter 153 Realm of the Undead
Long Tian stepped into the temple, instantly swallowed by complete darkness, devoid of even a glimmer of light.
Maintaining his composure, he held his position. Moments later, white mist began to creep up from the ground, engulfing his legs up to his knees.
Simultaneously, light started to pierce through the darkness, revealing the commanding presence of a bald, six-armed man seamlessly intertwined with the mist.
"Welcome to the palace of 'the fallen,' you are the second living being to successfully enter here," the man declared, his voice serene yet profound.
"Who was the first?" Long Tian inquired, his eyes narrowing with curiosity.
"Someone related to time and existence shouldn't be here. Neither should you," the man responded, crossing his arms.
Hearing this, Long Tian furrowed his brow. Someone related to time who shouldn't be here... His mind worked hard to comprehend this.
The next moment, realization dawned upon him. His eyes widened with possibility, "Is he from the future?" he asked, his tone rising.
"Who knows?" the man smirked. "What's certain is that you're not here to play. If you want to pass through, you have to face my challenge," he said.
Long Tian remained curious about the identity of the person who had preceded him, but he promptly refocused his attention on the man's words.
"Well, I came here seeking great power, so I'm prepared for anything, including your challenge. Proceed," he declared.
The man smiled, then raised and rotated his fingers. In the next moment, ten colossal dark souls, each fifty meters tall, materialized, encircling Long Tian.
Long Tian was taken aback; it was the first time he had encountered darkness creatures of this magnitude.
"Right now, you're not truly within the 'fallen' palace; you stand before the genuine entrance," the man explained, revealing another enormous door adorned with dark runes.
Long Tian was struck with awe at the colossal door looming in front of him; it was undeniably larger than the temple entrance outside.
"Inside there is like an entirely new world, teeming with creatures, all dark souls stronger than those outside. The challenge is simple: if you manage to defeat these ten giant dark souls, you can enter," the man explained.
Long Tian nodded, "Did that person also complete your challenge?" he inquired. Continue reading on No_veLbIn
"Yes, he's highly skilled with a sword and possesses unique martial arts techniques," the man replied. "Alright, now is the time," he added.
With that, he vanished along with the mist.
Long Tian's eyes locked onto the ten giant dark souls encircling him.
One of them, a towering figure, hoisted its mace high and swung it toward Long Tian.
The heavy object sliced through the air, its echo resonating. Yet, as it struck, Long Tian transformed into a dark mist, swiftly moving toward the creature's arm with the aid of Zeus's lightning.
The next moment, the white mist reappeared, accompanied by the six-armed man.
"Excellent! Your power truly astounds me. I had my doubts initially, but it seems you have a chance to defeat that creature!" the man exclaimed enthusiastically.
However, Long Tian raised an eyebrow, "Who are you referring to?" he inquired.
"You'll discover that once you step inside," the man replied.
Without waiting for Long Tian's response, he twirled his fingers, summoning a peculiar light above Long Tian that engulfed his entire body.
The light disappeared in the next moment.
Long Tian felt somewhat taken aback, "What was that?" he questioned.
"You can perceive it as a safeguard. Inside, there are no living beings," the man explained.
Long Tian rubbed his chin. Frankly, he didn't possess extensive knowledge about this world, as even the original plot didn't delve into it deeply.
He had intended to enter the pool a few months later, but due to a mysterious man who knew about it, he had no option but to enter now as well.
"Well, I will go in," he declared.
The six-armed man nodded. "Stand right in front of that door and enter as soon as I open it. Don't waste time; go in immediately!" he commanded, his tone resolute.
"I understand," Long Tian replied.
With that, he dashed forward and arrived right in front of the massive door.
The six-armed man closed his eyes and chanted a mantra. Nine planet-like runes appeared on the door's surface.
A few seconds later, the door swung open, and a dense aura of darkness wafted from within.
Long Tian swiftly entered, and the door closed promptly behind him.
He glanced back and saw no trace of the door, as if it had never existed.
Then, he turned his gaze forward, finding himself atop a mountain.
No heavenly beauty greeted him; instead, a grim, hellish landscape stretched before him.
The sky was blood-red, adorned with ominous clouds. Lava flowed down the mountains, and the vast land was littered with dead trees.
"It seems I've stepped into hell," he muttered to himself.
He took a step forward, and suddenly, the ground shook.
Simultaneously, a sinister voice echoed, "Welcome to the Realm of Undead."
