So far, Julia had witnessed Leo display three of his talents.
One, Teleportation talent. Even though it didn’t have the direct attacking power, it could be helpful in surprising the enemy if used correctly.
Two, Combustion talent. A powerful attacking talent that could damage a vast area.
‘The third talent seemed to be related to Earth which could help Brother Leo control the earth. Is that all? or is he still hiding a few more talents?’
Suddenly, Julia felt Leo seemed more mysterious than she thought.
“Brother Leo, are you searching for?”
Nevertheless, she suppressed her curiosity to know whether Leo had more talents; instead, she rushed toward Leo and asked what he was searching for.
“Wait for a moment…you will know.”
Leo didn’t explain to Julia what he was searching for as he continued to search inside the walls of the caves.
‘…’
Julia remained silent and curiously waited to see what Leo was searching for.
Of course, she would be curious because if something piques the interest of an advanced hero, it would not be an everyday thing.
‘I wonder what it is.’
Without disturbing Leo, Julia silently thought about the item that Leo was searching for.
“Found it.”
It didn’t take much time for Leo to find what he was searching for.
“Isn’t it just Iron ore?”
Julia hurriedly rushed towards Leo and saw a shining grey coloured stone in Leo’s head.
However, the moment she saw that stone, Julia lost her interest.
“It is not regular Iron ore but a special one.”
“Special? What’s so special about it?”
Julia asked with some doubt in her eyes.
“Yes. It is an Iron ore fruit.”
Leo revealed a slight smile on his face and explained, “It is not good for regular humans to consume it; however, for the humans who awakened metal related talents, it could be considered an invaluable treasure.”
‘Ding,
Item name:- Iron ore fruit.
Item grade:- Rank 5
Effect:- If consumed by the heroes’ awakened metal-related talents, their talent will be upgraded by one level, and there is a slight chance of mutation.
Limitations:- Effective only on Rank 5 or below ranked heroes.
Even though Leo knew about the ‘Iron ore fruit’, he needed the system’s help in determining the item grade.
So, he checked the information on the fruit and was satisfied with the item grade.
‘Even though it was not high, it was not low either. It could be sold for a good price.’
Since he or his siblings or friends didn’t have metal related talents, Leo could only sell it off as it would be a poisonous fruit for regular heroes.
“What? What type of fruits are grown in these walls?”
Julia was shocked by the fruit’s effects mentioned by Leo and questioned him.
“There is so much in this world you need to learn, little girl.”
Leo lightly patted Julia’s head as he stored the ‘Iron ore fruit’ in his storage ring.
“Little girl?”
Julia looked at Leo, who walked out of the cave and angrily rushed after him.
….
‘Swoosh’
‘Swoosh’
“They must be clearing these Iron ore caves. Shall we wait for them to come here?”
As Leo and Julia were clearing the Iron ore cares for the past few hours, a group of masked figures were searching for them.
They were none other than the squad members of the ‘Hidden assassins’ mercenary squad.
After seeing Leo and Julia leave the city, Clemens gathered all the squad members and hurriedly rushed here.
They searched all the Iron ore caves; however, most of them were cleared, and finally, one of the squad members suggested they should wait in front of an Iron ore cave that was yet to clear.
“In this area, only these four Iron ore caves are left. Moreover, we can see the remaining three Iron caves from here.”
Another masked figure agreed with the first masked figure as he informed Clemens about the advantage of staying there.
“Fine…you must be tired from running for the last couple of hours. Let’s wait here.”
Clemens could see that his squad members were tired and decided to rest in front of the Iron ore cave.
“Thank you, Leader.”
The masked figures heaved a sigh of relief as they thanked Clemens.
“By the way, leader, how can he get rid of Iron trolls in so many Iron ore caves in such a short time?”
As they were resting, one of the masked figures asked Clemens.
“According to our information, the young man staying with the girl only has Teleportation; however, I think he had a second talent he didn’t disclose while verifying his identity.”
Clemens didn’t think much as he gave his thoughts on Leo and continued saying, “If my guess is right, he must have a burst type fire talent that covered a vast range.”
They knew that Julia only had a healing type talent, and after checking the Iron ore caves cleared by Leo, Clemens came to that conclusion.
“So, later, when we deal with him, it is better to cripple him before investigating the disappearance of the Vice leader and the others.”
Clemens ordered his squad members to be careful when they fight Leo later.
“Yes, leader.”
“As long as you are with us, we are not worried about anything.”
Everyone didn’t think much about Leo because they were very confident in their leader, who had completed hundreds of assassinations with his unique talent.
‘…’
However, Clemens didn’t say anything as he silently waited for Leo while checking the other three Iron ore caves in the distance.
….
“How did you know there is an Iron ore fruit in this cave but not the other caves you previously cleared?”
After coming out of the cave, Julia asked Leo how he could find it.
“I have two reasons. One, the insides of the cave are twice the size of the insides of previous caves I cleared, and Second, this cave had three rank 5 Iron trolls.”
Leo shared his knowledge about the Iron ore caves with Julia, satisfying her curiosity.
‘Huh?’
Suddenly, Leo stopped in his tracks as he looked into the distance with a frown.
‘Are they related to the assassins killed by Vladimir?’
From their attire, Leo could tell they were assassins and guessed their origins.
‘Vladimir put Julia into a sleep.’
He ordered the shadow vampire through his thoughts, and in the next second, Julia’s eyes felt heavy as she fell asleep.
Before falling to the ground, Leo caught her and carried her back into the cave before coming out of the cave alone.
“It’s time to stretch my muscles a little.”
