“The first item of this premium auction is the rare ‘Talent awakening stone’.”
A green-coloured shining crystal appeared in the beautiful auctioneer’s hands as she gave a brief introduction about the item.
“Even though it is not useful for the mighty heroes like you, it will be useful for the younger generation who might be unlucky to not awaken a talent in the ‘Hall of Gods’.”
The auctioneer continued, “Having this stone is like having a backup to not get embarrassed by others.”
At the age of ten, all humans, regardless of rich, poor, powerful, or weak, can enter the ‘Hall of Gods’ to awaken their talents; however, it is not guaranteed that everyone will awaken their talent.
Every year, nearly 20 percent of kids were unable to awaken their talents, and year on year, the percentage increased.
So, the demand for the ‘Talent awakening stone’ was very high; however, the supply was almost nil, making it a rare and valuable item.
“The initial price of the stone is 10000 Hero coins with a minimum of 1000 Hero coins increment in the bids.”
After giving a brief introduction, the auctioneer announced the initial price of the stone.
“Ambermane family bids 15000 Hero coins.”
From the Ambermane family, Zen raised the bid by 5000 Hero coins.
“Cloudriver family bids 20000 Hero coins.”
In the next second, Dario, the son of the Cloudriver family head, raised the bid with a carefree look.
“25000 Hero coins.”
Zen didn’t back down as he raised the price by another 5000 Hero coins.
“26000 Hero coins”
Dario looked at Zen, and with a slight smile, he raised the price, making Zen frown.
“30000 Hero coins.”
“31000 Hero coins.”
Only Zen and Dario were bidding for the ‘Talent awakening stone’, and they were so fast that they didn’t give the time for the auctioneer to speak.
As for the top three mercenary squads, they were not interested in the ‘Talent awakening stone’ because, unlike the families, they didn’t have to worry about the future generations.
The elite families of the Phire city have hundreds of newborns every year, and the chances of having a talentless child were not impossible for them.
So, only the two families bid for the item as it was helpful for them.
‘Brother Leo, if we give this stone to either Emily or Evan, they will awaken a talent, right?’
As the bidding war between Zen and Dario was going on, Julia asked Leo in a low voice.
‘I guess, it will be helpful.’
Even though Leo replied to Julia, he was not sure about it.
The talent awakening stone could be used by anyone who hasn’t awakened a talent yet; however, Emily and Evan have talents; however, they were partially awakened.
So, he didn’t know whether it would work or not.
‘Shall we bid for it?’
Even though it was becoming costly with each bid, Julia didn’t think the price would be a problem.
‘Sure. Let’s go for it.’
Leo nodded his head as he decided to buy it and check whether it could help his siblings.
‘Since the item is not too valuable, even if we win the bid, it will not cause any problems for us.’
Leo silently thought in his head as he decided to bid for the item.
‘Julia, you two are joking, right?’
On the other hand, Amy heard them loud and clear and asked Julia with a forced smile.
Because she knew Julia was rich enough to spend 1000 Hero coins, not to mention bidding for an item that had nearly reached 50000 Hero coins.
‘Nope.’
Julia shook her head as she replied with a slight smile, ‘Don’t worry, Sister Amy. Brother Leo and I made some money on our little exploration.’
“Young Hero Dario bids 49000 Hero coins. Is there anyone who is going to raise the bid?”
The auctioneer was satisfied with the first item’s price as she first looked at Zen before looking at the others.
The bidding war between Zen and Dario was successfully won by Dario, who had a smug look on his face.
“49000 Hero coins, once.”
“49000 Hero coins, twice.”
“49000…”
“Young Hero Julia bids 50000 Hero coins.”
Just when the beautiful auctioneer was about to give the final call, Leo raised the bid by 1000 Hero coins, surprising the entire hall.
‘Huh?’
Everyone was surprised by the sudden bid from the last row as they turned to look at the voice owner.
‘Leo…Julia.’
Zen was the first to recognize Leo as he informed his father about him.
‘A lone mercenary?’
Liam frowned as he asked, ‘Why is he with that girl?’
‘I don’t know father but I am sure that he is protecting her and if I am right.’
Zen answered his father in a low voice.
‘Damn it…what are they doing?’
Oliver, who was accompanying the city leader, and Mr.White cursed Leo and Julia; however, he didn’t show it on his face.
“Isn’t that your daughter, Family head Oliver?”
Even Theodore turned back to see; however, when he saw Amy, he asked Oliver.
“Yes, City leader. They were her friends and wanted to participate in the auction. So, I let them in.”
Oliver hurriedly explained to the city leader and everyone in the hall if they misunderstood that he was intentionally raising the prices. “If you don’t want them, I can….”
“It is good t have youngones participant in the auction to broaden their horizons.”
Theodore shook his head as he continued, “Don’t worry. We know you won’t dare to intentionally raise the price by such cheap tricks.”
“City leader is right.”
Mr.White also agreed with Theodore as his eyes mainly focused on Leo.
“Thank you, City leader.”
“Thank you, Mr.White.”
Oliver hurriedly thanked them before giving the signal to the beautiful auctioneer to resume the auction.
“50000 Hero coins, once….twice…thrice and sold.”
No one bid after Leo’s bid as they wanted to see whether Leo could pay for it or not.
“The first item is successfully won by the young hero Julia.”
The beautiful auctioneer revealed a bright smile as she concluded the bidding for the ‘Talent awakening stone’.
“The second item….”
“Why don’t you give the item to the winner before auctioning the second item?”
Before the auctioneer could start the bid for the second item, Zander said to Oliver in a loud and clear voice.
“…”
Oliver frowned when he heard those words; however, the other party was the son of a Supreme hero.
Moreover, he could guess what Zander was trying to do when he said those words; however, Oliver didn’t mind it as he nodded his head.
“Someone, pass the ‘Talent awakening stone’ to the winner and collect the money.”
“Yes, Family head.”
Soon, one of the Icefeather family’s servants nodded his head as he carried it to Julia.
“Here.”
Leo shook his head at what everyone was trying to do.
Nevertheless, he paid the 51000 Hero coins and said, “The extra 1000 Hero coins…you can have it.”
‘What the…’
Amy was shocked to see Leo casually take out 51000 Hero coins.
“Since the transaction is completed, shall we continue?”
With a calm look, Leo looked at Oliver and asked.
“Yes.”
Oliver was surprised at Leo’s calm look and nodded his head at the auctioneer.
The others were also surprised because having 51000 Hero coins was not a small thing for an elite hero without proper backing or strength.
‘I need all the information on him and her before the end of the auction.’
Except for the Ambermane family, everyone typed the message on their phones before focusing on the auction.
