Because of Peter's arrival, the huge beast at the bottom of the lake was alarmed. Just like how magic energy could be used to sense baleful qi, beasts with baleful qi could also sense the arrival of Magi.

Peter was not only ranked before all of the disciples in the Magus King, his reserve of magical energy was also at the top of the eleven disciples. Even if it could restrain itself, the gigantic beast at the bottom of the lake would still be able to smell its scent.

Magi and strange beasts were like two sides of yin and yang. They were fated enemies, and they would attract each other's attentions.

Something was attracted by the magical energy that was being emitted from Peter's body, and it floated up to the surface of the water.

"That thing is very big." Peter suddenly said.

"What?" What did you say? " The High Half-Immortal was outside of the situation, he had yet to figure out what had happened.

"If you can still hold on and not faint," Peter said while smiling, "you will soon be able to see that thing."

"Your father's body is so healthy!" High Half-Immortal patted her chest, "Why would I faint!" Although she wanted to faint earlier and wake up to find that these were all just dreams, High Half-Immortal could not help but force herself out of her mouth.

Peter no longer bothered with High Half-Immortal beside him. He finally found the location of the dragon cave. Right now, what he needed to do was to record the situation of the dragon cave as much as possible, and then report all of this to his mentor — the King of Sickle and Greed.

The white fog over the lake grew thicker and thicker, gradually enveloping the shore as well.

Peter raised his arms high up and closed his palms. Then, a warm white light started to seep out from the gaps between his fingers. When he let go of his hands, a white ball of light appeared above his head, like a small sun.

This ball of light dispersed the mist around Peter's body, causing the outer white mist to appear even thicker.

"You … You know magic?" High Half-Immortal looked at the foreign reporters beside him in shock. In his entire life, other than the Immortal Kunlun that he met in his early years, he had never met anyone else who knew magic.

"Shh." Peter placed his right index finger by his mouth, signalling for High Half-Immortal to be quiet, "He's here." Peter whispered.

High Half-Immortal looked at Qingyu Lake in front of him. Other than the thick fog, he could not see anything else.

High Half-Immortal swallowed her saliva, then couldn't help but ask softly: "What's coming?"

Peter did not reply. He spread open his left hand, and a black formation appeared in his palm. High Half-Immortal stared intently at Peter's actions, not daring to say another word.

A black Sickle appeared on Peter's palm. It looked no different from a bat, but it was slightly larger. This Sickle flapped its wings in Peter's hands, then flew into the dense fog above.

The black Sickle was engulfed by the fog in the blink of an eye. The two people on the ground could only hear the soft 'sha sha' sound when the Sickle flapped its wings. After a while, they could no longer hear the 'sha sha' sound.

The air returned to silence.

Bang.

Something shot up from the bottom of the lake, bringing with it a large amount of water. The water splashed up and then fell down, like a temporary rain, drenching the two people on the platform and the villagers behind them.

The huge shadow that had sprung up from the water bit down on the Sickle's body. Just like a bat, Sickle's vision was very weak, but its other senses were extremely sensitive. In this fog, it could have been better able to carry out scouting tasks than the humans whose vision was sealed. However, it was still unable to escape the strike that came from the bottom of the water.

In the mouth of the huge beast, the black Sickle turned into a ball of black smoke and disappeared. The delicacy that was in its mouth was gone. It unwillingly swayed its body and moved towards the shore.

Peter and the High Half-Immortal both saw the enormous python's body slowly appear in the mist. High Half-Immortal was so scared that his skin almost fell on the ground. He wanted to say something, but his teeth couldn't stop trembling, unable to utter a single word.

It was a Python that had appeared in front of the two of them.

Peter did not recognize Python s, even though there were also gigantic beasts in Europe – like lizards that could shoot fire with their wings, people called giant dragons. But in the east, dragons were a kind of snake-shaped strange beast, and in Peter's understanding, they were not much different from snakes.

Was the beast in front of him a dragon? Peter could not help but be suspicious. He placed his hands behind his back, and a small, delicate dagger appeared in his right hand. If this was a dragon, then Peter was confident that he could bring the dragon blood back.

Without waiting for the Python to make a move, Peter jumped high into the air, held the dagger tightly in his hand and stabbed towards the snake head. As long as he got the blood, it would be his victory.

The giant snake obviously did not expect Peter to suddenly attack it. Based on its usual experience, most humans would lose their ability to resist due to fear like the High Half-Immortal, and only a few would have the strength to escape.

However, just this point was enough to make the Python feel furious that Peter actually dared to attack it.

It opened its mouth wide and bit towards Peter.

Behind Peter, the white ball of light was following him closely, creating a bit of warmth while also helping Peter to disperse the fog surrounding his body.

The Python bit down hard, but Peter did not dodge, because from the very beginning, he had already mistaken his opponent.

The Python's sharp teeth pierced the ball of light behind Peter! And Peter had already seized the opportunity to jump on top of the Python's head.

From the High Half-Immortal's point of view, it was just a normal ball of light, but from the beast's point of view, the heat emitted by the ball of light was like a human's. This ball of light had interfered with the Python's judgement, allowing it to attack the wrong target.

The dagger in Peter's hand pierced the head of the Python. The blade of the dagger was less than ten centimeters long, and logically, it should not have been able to harm a gigantic beast of this size. However, as the sapphire on the end of the dagger flashed, the dagger produced a huge suction force. When the dagger pierced through the Python's scales and into its flesh, its blood was immediately lured over.

Peter pulled out the dagger, causing blood to spurt out like an arrow from the tiny wound. Beneath his feet, the Python was continuously swinging its head, wanting to shake the tiny human on top of its head off. However, a burst of purple energy adhered to the bottom of Peter's feet, firmly attaching it to the Python's head.

Peter released another black Sickle and as soon as it was born, it flew towards the blood arrow. It opened its mouth that was filled with sharp teeth and swallowed the blood that flowed out of the Python. Not long after, its body began to swell.

Just as Peter was feeling proud of himself, the gigantic black shadow rose from the bottom of the lake one after another.
