“What do you mean?”

A sharp answer came back at once. The polite smile that Jun-Kyung’s been wearing the whole time was gone. Executive Director Min was too straightforward. He expressed his displeasure to such an extent that it is terrifying that it’s hard to feel they were close.

It was not clear what kind of eyes Hyun-Seung Min was looking at from Jun-Kyung’s position but seeing Lee Si-Eun who was frozen, Jun-Kyung guessed that it was frightening.

“Do you like him that much that you hid from me and didn’t even tell me about the date of the meeting?”

Considering what she did, it was an overreaction. The eyes looking at Executive Director Min were like a wounded beast.

“If it was something you needed to know, I would have told you.”

The arctic wind doesn’t seem to get any colder than this. To be honest, Jun-Kyung wasn’t in a good mood because of Lee Si-Eun. Obviously, it’s Lee Si-Eun’s fault for what happened earlier. Knowing the relationship between the two, Executive Director Min seemed too cold as a man, so it was a little …trashy.

‘The two of you were dating first, but if you suddenly act that way, she will cry. Talk nice.’

After all, there was a reason why she was stubborn and crying at that time. Since the two of them are like that, she will naturally feel betrayed. Still, upper-class VIPs tend to separate love and marriage, so if he talks well, she might understand. If he cuts it off in such a cool way, their pride will be hurt and distraughted. Or is Lee Si-Eun sincere unlike Executive Director Min?

Anyway, it was clear that Executive Director Min did not know that she would show up at a meeting as shown in a weekend drama. Thinking about it that way made Jun-Kyung feel less bad.

A familiar silver sedan stood at the front door of the hotel via the driveway. Before the employee opened the door, Executive Director Min opened the passenger seat. Jun-Kyung and Lee Si-Eun moved at the same time. Their eyes met.

“Jun-Kyung, get in.”

It was the Executive Director of a large corporation with sociopath tendencies that handle the delicate situation. Jun-kyung smiled politely, nodded Lee Si-Eun a little, and immediately climbed into the passenger seat.

“Do I sit in the back seat?” Lee Si-Eun asked.

“No. You have your own car.”

“I was drunk earlier.”

“And?”

Executive Director Min, who was just about to get into the driver’s seat, called the hotel staff.

“Did you hear that? Please don’t let her drive drunk.”

“Yes, sir.”

Wow. Jun-Kyung thought this was the North Pole and not Korea. He looked at Lee Si-Eun through the side mirror. Her face was speechless. Seeing the pretty woman standing like that made him sympathize. It was his instinct as a man. He couldn’t help it.

If it wasn’t for a strangely twisted relationship, or if he wasn’t an Omega, he would have recommended her a drink to forget this trashy man.

“Wasting time needlessly.”

The large garbage on the driver’s seat snorted briefly as if it were bothersome. As the sedan with the two of them left the hotel, Si-Eun Lee watched with a very sad look. It was uncomfortable. The feeling of suffocation itself is also very bad. He thought for a moment as to why it was awkward. A common-sense answer came to mind.

Executive Director Min volunteered to be the father of the future child. He also proposed marriage. Jun-Kyung didn’t ask to do that, but he agreed to the proposal.

He is now a roommate who shares a bed and has just finished a meeting with the elders of both families. Jun-Kyung thought they would pretend and each go their separate ways, but Executive Director Min wanted a ‘real marital relationship’.

‘He kissed me too. Many times.’

Jun-Kyung was also told that if he wasn’t pregnant right now, he’d do something more. Such a man has a very close relationship with his prospective spouse. Even the parents are close to each other. At this point, it’s weird to be unsatisfied, common sense.

At the same time, Jun-Kyung’s heart ached for no reason at the cold attitude Director Min had just shown. One day this marriage will end. There is no way of knowing that the person standing alone at the entrance of the hotel would not be himself.

He can’t become serious about a mercury mannequin who wields inhumanity. It’s just that life doesn’t go the way you wanted it to. Is there anyone else who realizes the simple truth in such a shocking way as Jun-Kyung?

Also, since they lived face to face, Jun-Kyung naturally became attached. He doesn’t like it when Director Min puts him in the background and takes care of others first, even though it is a fraudulent marriage that started only on condition without any affection. Should he say that he feels strangely alienated?

‘It will be more when we become a real couple.’

Maybe Jun-Kyung should know what kind of relationship Hyun-Seung Min has with the other person. He had a strong feeling that he would see Lee Si-Eun frequently throughout his marriage.

His thoughts became more firm.

“You must be very close.”

“Who?”

“Hyun-Seung and Lee Si-Eun.”

He tried to keep the tone as normal as possible. When their eyes met, he felt that his pulse was getting faster, so he pretended to be looking at the scenery outside the window and focused on the change in the facial expression of Director Min using the side mirror. His profile, looking ahead, was the same as usual.

“Why do you think so?”

There was no emotion or slight agitation in the reply that came back. It is as if such a thing happened. An unpleasant feeling was added to the awkwardness. Anyone can see this is a strange relationship, but is he the only one who cares?

“I rarely see anyone who treats Hyun-Seung so casually.”

“How am I usually?”

Why is the conversation popping up like this again? Is he changing the subject on purpose?

If it was Lee Si-Eun, she would have asked him why he didn’t answer the question and instead changed the subject to the wrong place. But Jun-Kyung couldn’t.

Late afternoon, the city was very crowded. The car was stopped repeatedly. The procession of cars lining up through the city added to the frustration.

“How do you feel?”

He knows it well, but he just has to ask Jun-Kyung what he thinks. To be honest, it’s hard to come up with good answers in this kind of situation.

“It’s hard for other people to be comfortable around you.”

“Am I that uncomfortable?”

“A little…because you are so charismatic. You are manly.”

If they were friends, Jun-Kyung would say, ‘Do you not look in the mirror? You look absolutely bloody, so who could be comfortable with you?’ It could be explained so easily.

“Do you think so, Jun-kyung?”

Did Director Min not hear what he just said? Did he say what it was like from another person’s perspective? The representative of that ‘other person’ is Jun-kyung Ho, himself. He tried to put in good words, but his will is disappearing. Still, he held on to his spirit.

“At first, it was uncomfortable and awkward.”

In fact, it was still quite uncomfortable. That said, he couldn’t say it straight-forward, so he looked around. He hoped that the wrong reply wouldn’t come back, but the senior executive of large corporations with psychopathic tendencies ignored the wishes of ordinary people.

“Then you mean it’s not anymore?”

Jun-Kyung pondered for a while whether to speak openly or not, but in the end his mouth did not move.

He doesn’t know what the silence indicates, but Executive Director Min suddenly turned his head to look at Jun-Kyung. Why is he doing this? It just like they were in a snowball fight.

As the car stopped moving, the car behind them honked his horn. It was Executive Director Min who avoided eye contact with him first. He couldn’t help it because he needs to pay attention to driving.

Due to the delayed departure, they had to wait for the next signal in front of the crosswalk. The driver behind the car will be furious. The same goes for Jun-kyung.

“Mr. Ho Jun-Kyung.”

At the call of his full name, he reflexively turned his head to see Director Min. Then, Executive Director Min suddenly came toward Jun-kyung.

“Yes?”

No matter how large a sedan is, as long as it sits in the passenger seat, it cannot get away from the driver without limitation. They were in the 10-lane road in the middle of a large city. It wasn’t night either, it was broad daylight with the sunlight touching the body clearly. Countless passersby come and go at a distance of less than 2 meters.

Cold.

Their lips pressed, and there was a rather sultry sound. At the same time as the liver got cold, the nape of the neck became stiff. If Jun-Kyung hadn’t frozen his muscles because he was so surprised, there is a high chance he would have swung his fists.

Even though it is a space with just the two of them, the car has windows on all sides to secure visibility. No matter how dark the tinting is, you can see it if you look closely. At least, it is a structure in which the person inside cannot but be conscious of the brightness outside.

Thankfully, most of the people crossing the crosswalk were preoccupied with their cell phones, so there was no eye-to-eye contact.

Above all, it was ridiculous because the timing was so random. Until recently, there was a fierce snow fight. He was shocked without being prepared at all, so he couldn’t even explain why this was happening. Jun-Kyung just opened his eyes wide and stared at him like a madman.

“I’ve been wanting to do it for a while, but I’ve been holding it in.”

Who asked?

“I want to be closer than now.”

Who asked?

Pretending to rest his chin, Jun-Kyung wiped his lips with the back of his hand. The nape of his neck was strangely hot, whether it was because the sun was hot, or the tension broke out without notice and there was something wrong with his body.

He is a genius in business. With one kiss, the story of Lee Si-Eun fell into place. If Jun-Kyung ask to go back to what they were talking about, it is easy to get a strange misunderstanding that he was jealous of Lee Si-Eun or something.

It wouldn’t be of any use if he was just asking because he felt uncomfortable and not due to jealousy. Anyway, this was a complete defeat.
